Just outside Nerja, this delightful two bedrooms villa makes a really comfortable base. Adding to its appeal are the panoramic mountain views from its terrace and pool, creating a lovely setting for your stay.

The lovely outdoor areas of the El Peli are a perfect place for whiling away time in the sun. The grounds are spacious and enclosed, so you can swim and sunbathe without being overlooked. The pool, meanwhile, is generously sized and bordered by a sunny terrace and lawns fringed by flowerbeds. A tiled raised area accessed via steps from the pool and shadded by a pergola-style roof under which sits a table and chairs offers a lovely vantage point for revelling in the views. This dining terrace is also made to measure with a built-in barbecue, so you can escape from the sun for your alfresco meals or drinks.

The house itself looks typically Spanish, with terracotta tiles topping whitewashed walls and balustrades. Inside, the rooms are well-laid out and feel homely and welcoming, thanks to their comfortable furniture, rustic ornaments and terracotta floor tiles. Soft, blue sofas and a corner fireplace dominate in the open-plan lounge-diner, which merges into a bright, spacious kitchen fitted with a dishwasher and microwave, as well as an electric oven and hob. The two bedrooms are arranged as a twin and a double and feature pine bedsteads and ceramic floors set against a simple white backdrop.

The villa overlooks countryside and farmland, but is far from remote - Nerja, with its beaches, promenade and entertainments, is just three kilometres down the road. You will also find a supermarket and restaurants even closer by - about a five-minute drive away.
