We stayed 16 young people in this villa in mid-April. Although the weather was a little shaky, we had the time of our lives and this place was absolutely perfect. Except that we had a tendency to run a little short on hot water in the shower, everything about this villa exceed our expectations. The location was great, the view over the mountains was absolutely stunning and bedrooms, living-rooms and kitchen were all satisfying. I will not hesitate to rent the place again or recommend it to a friend.
Thank you very much for a wonderful stay,
Kenneth Pedersen

We stayed six weeks during the summer of 2011 and had an absolutely wonderful time. The house managers were there to meet us on arrival and were a constant help, when necessary, throughout our entire stay. During our stay, we had groups ranging from just the four of us to as many as nine people. We never felt crowded or on top of each other, and we also had places where all of us could spend time together if we wanted to. We had lovely days lounging in the mountain sun by the pool, and we had many, many lovely excursions into the surrounding area. Some of our best moments involved food, drink, friends, and family on one of the many patios with the incredible views of the village and the mountains. It was definitely a holiday to remember fondly.
Arles-sur-Tech is a lovely Catalan village with bakeries, restaurants, and a small grocery store. It certainly has everything to keep a family busy and supplied during a stay. Nothing in the village is more than a ten-minute walk, at most, from the front door of La Paloma. The surrounding area includes small mountain towns, larger towns with fantastic weekly markets, the beach, several museums, vineyards, and countless places for excursions and day trips.
The only issues that came up during our stay involved the pool and the internet. We had issues with internet connectivity that ended up being a dead router, and the pool was constantly going green. I cant fault anyone for being inattentive to the pool it seemed the like the pool guys were there on an almost daily basis but just couldnt quite get it right.
If what youre looking for is an affordable place for a large group, then you really couldnt go wrong with La Paloma. We hope to return someday.

Ideally positioned with superb views. Spacious rooms
for 11 of us including 4 babies. The whole place was very well equipped.
exe cellent pool and surrounding patio area. Very good side terrace for alfresco meals. Two minor problems sorted very quickly by the maintenance man.
La Paloma is within easy walking distance of local food shops and bars and restaurants.
On the debit side the whole place seemed to need some tender loving care e.g.grubby shower curtains,
window frames in need of a coat of paint, cobwebs mouldy corners etc.
However, overall our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Paloma.
Owner reply:
Hi Michael
Thanks for your positive comments about La Paloma.
The shower curtain has been replaced and the other items you mentioned have been rectified as part of our end of season clean up.
We have set up a quality control system to make sure that the condition of La Paloma at the end of the season is up to the same high standards enjoyed by guests at the beginning.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay at La Paloma
Kind regards

The property is in a stunning position overlooking the village with views of the foothills of the Pyrenees. The property is very spacious, decor and furniture is oldish but perfectly servicable with ample cooking and dining utensils for 12 people. Lovely terraces for dining on and the swimming pool terrace is great for relaxing or enjoying the pool. Couple of minor issues were attended to directly by the owner who is extremely helpful and attentive to ensuring everything is okay with your stay. This is not a glitzy Spanish villa but a traditional French house where you can relax with children not worrying that something expensive ia about to be broken an ideal base for a family holiday in the beautiful surroundings of the Pyrenees.

We had a wonderful relaxing holiday. There was everything we needed for 10 people, including much used sunloungers and parasols. The pool was a good size and the views spectacular. We enjoyed most meals on the terrace which was shaded by trees most of the day. It was a short walk to the small town where we found a selec tion of bakeries and a small well stocked supermarket. A brief problem with the pool filter was soon put right after a phone call to the local agent. A beautiful property in spectacular surroundings.

A reel good property for a big family. A property situated in a charming little town with possibilities for relaxation but also excursions in the mountains near by.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Paloma for a week in Aug 08. The house was great, and definitely very child friendly - the children saw all the steps as a challenge! We felt completely at home, and (unlike previous self catering holidays) spent most evenings cooking (in the very well equipped upper kitchen) and chatting on the balcony. The house is conveniently situated close to the local village (with a fabulous Spar shop very close by), although it is not interrupted by the noise of traffic. The pool area is great, and the views are spectacular. I would have no problem at all, in recommending this property to family and friends.

We stayed at La Paloma in August 2008. We live in th USA but my family lives in France. This was a perfect place for all of us to spend time together. The area is absolutely wonderful with lots of hiking, exploring to do and of course the proximity to the ocean and Spain. As for the house itself, we were all enchanted. It accomodated all 12 of us perfectly with room to breath but it also had everything needed and more. The pool was a hit with the elders and the teenagers as well. The best part was the quality of care we received when we ran into a water problem. The caretakers were extremely nice and John, the owner, called me to check up on the situation. It was resolved in one day. We will definitely go back and we were all sad to leave La Paloma. Thanks again.

The property is large and well equipped. The decor is tired and furniture basic. There are several areas in the grounds to eat and the pool area is really lovely. The views are stunning. Arles-sur Tech has every food shop you would require and a couple of bars and restaurants, but isnt an attractive village.
We had a very good 2 weeks holiday there, but it was a long way to go and I wouldnt jump to recommend it to friends as we werent particularly enamoured with the area.

This is a fantastic house and apartment for a large group, in a superb location overlooking a small French town with very friendly and welcoming local people. We were well looked after before and during our stay and would strongly recommend it to anyone who wants a pleasant and peaceful location but in easy reach of coast, mountains and plenty of attractions.

As a group of 11 we hired La Paloma for a long weekend away from the UK. The property itself was ideal - spacious, with everything you could possibly need in the house to ensure a comfortable, hassle free stay (and a lovely pool!). Arles sur Tech, the village La Paloma is based in, is lovely and quiet and the prioperty has a lovely view of the Pyrenees. There are also lots of beautiful French towns/beaches just a short drive away for a day/morning trip (Ceret , the town where Picasso lived, has a lovely french market). You couldn't ask for a more ideally situated property really! La Paloma is so well placed you could turn the weekend into anything you wanted it to be - adventurous/quiet/ relaxing...just brilliant! Would definitely recommend!

We hired the whole house for a family reunion. Family members came from Hong Kong (via India) and the east and south west of England. Ages ranged from 14 - 75. We all had a thoroughly enjoyable 3 week stay. The facilities were excellent, and the pool superb. Views are stunning, and the local towns interesting to visit. I would highly recommend La Paloma as a holiday venue. Sarah Carter
