Hi Pascale,
We wanted to let you know we all had a wonderful time during our stay at Casa Pauline over the Easter weekend. Even with the rain! We appreciated and enjoyed the wonderful food you provided us to have a lovely breakfast. Thanks for the extra eggs, I have never had such delicious eggs! The accommodations were very comfortable and perfect for the 5 of us. We enjoyed cooking dinner in the well equipped kitchen and even picking the fresh lemons to make lemonade!
Driving around and exploring the area we discovered Caltabellotta up in the mountains and then our favorite meal of our entire trip to Italy was in a restaurant on the beach below the Erclea Minoa ruins. We enjoyed walking around Sciacca, and going down to see the fishing boats. As it was Easter, we didn't see any actual fishermen or fish, but there sure were a lot of cats!
Thank you for making the dinner reservation for me, we enjoyed the restaurant and the food very much. Do recall that you suggested that 7:30 was very early? Well it was so early no one was there! They opened at 8pm!
Finally, thanks to Salvatore for all the wonderful information about the area and for the fresh oranges. I will be sending some pictures along soon, including one of the older gentleman pruning the trees.
We hope to come for a longer stay someday in the future!

Holiday at Casa Pauline

Thank you for a truely wonderful stay. The house and your amazing hospitality lived up to our high expectations. You were so kind providing food for our lunch when we arrived exhausted after travlling all night and all morning. We would have been lost without the pac-a-macs. Who would expect 14 hours of rain in June! We had the most amazing and memorable and relaxing holiday ever and we were extremely grateful for all your help and advice. It made us feel very comfortable and safe, sure in thw knowledge that you would be there to help if we needed it. We found all the Sicilian people we met to be so kind and helpful - it relly made our holiday. We hope to come back one day.

We were two couples with our sons age 14, 16 and 18. We stayed in the Casa Pauline last June. The house was very comfortable, and fitted with everything needed. The beaches were beautiful and clean and only a 10 mn drive. Sciacca was our favorite place in Sicily. The owners were very helpful, the fresh vegetables we were able to pick from the orchard were also much appreciated. We hope one day that we get to come back and spend more time at this exceedlingly beautiful resort.

My husband, myself and sons,ages 16 and 21, had the opportunity to stay at the Verdetecnica in June 2006. We rented the Casa Pauline, what an experience. Upon arrival the owners who live on the property made us feel like we were part of their family. They gave us a huge basket with homemade olive oil, bread, eggs, fruits etc. Salvatore arranged some awesome tours for us, our favorite was a fishing trip with the locals. We had the chance to pick vegetables and herbs from their garden, shop and cook local foods in our private home. Since we returned to Florida we talk alot about this place and hope we have the chance to go back, if you go to Sciacca stay here you won't be disappointed.

We were happy with the property and the immediate environment which included a lovely shaded barbecue area. Free access to a telephone and the internet as well as a library of books, CDs and DVDs was also much appreciated. However, we were disappointed with the distance we had to travel to the centre of Sciacca and the better beaches to the East which were considerably further than we had been led to believe which made transport for six very difficult with one vehicle. As the property was up a long steep hill and the June weather very hot, the mountain bikes available were not a practical option and it was therefore difficult for members of the party to go out independently as we had planned to do.
