Overall the house was great but we did have some issues which were not satisfactorily addressed by the management company -
the house had not been cleaned properly -
1) there was the remnants of a meal in the microwave which also had food splattered throughout it.,
2) there were also food remnants (popcorn, drinking glasses, etc.) on the floor of some of the bedrooms which had not been vacumned,
3) the stairs had not been vacumned for some time
3) there was no light in the swimming pool
4) the air-hockey table did not work
5) the TV in one of the twin rooms was not working
we rang the management company upon arrival on Friday but they did not return my call. I rang again on Monday when they said they were going to get someone to ring but no one rang. On wednesday or thursday, I rang again because there was no light in the pool and was told that the pool maintenance company would ring me - they never did and I also very much doubt that the pool maintenance company cleaned the pool at all for the 2 weeks we were there. Overall the house could benefit from a good deep cleaning - some doors, door handles and the stair balustrade were actually sticky and black, they really needed a good rub down with soapy water.
On the positive side, the house is beautiful (despite needing a good clean), is in an excellent location and is right beside I-92 and close to Disney, and relatively close to Universal and SeaWorld.
It is unfortunate that such a nice house was spoiled by inadequate cleaning, and that the management company did not return our calls or check that the pool company had.

This house was well maintained and close to everything we wanted to see. The kids and adults enjoyed the pool every day. We had 9 people in the house and had plenty of room. I would definitely stay there again

Following are some comments on your home in Kissimmee, FL.First let me say, the resort area is very nice, and one gets the feeling of true security with the guard at the gate most hours of the day/night.The home is beautifully decorated, and was a pleasure to stay in.The pool, spa, and pool area were great. – Lots of pool furniture to relax in. and plenty of pool towels for use at pool. The spa was great after a day of walking the Disney parks. The center island in the kitchen area was great, and a area of much family congregating,cooking utensils (i.e., pots & pans) are enough for amount of people
And as my final comments, I make the following recommendation: First let me say, that all your small electrical appliances (i.e., toaster, blender, coffee maker, etc.) are top quality. I recommend adding the following (to make a super kitchen): 1 family size griddle with warming tray 1 waffle iron I know these comments have been lengthy, but your home is beautiful, and I didn’t want the minor anomalies noted above to detract from its beauty.and overall readyness

Our third trip to Emerald Island and certainly our best, the villa was immaculate and catered for everyone in our party (from 3 year old to late 60s). The large pool area and covered lanai meant we ate every meal outside. The decor, finish and cleanliness of the villa were all first class. We visited in April 2012 and I would definitely recommend adding pool heat. Having stayed in villas managed by other companies I would also recommend Sue who was very helpful , knowledgeable and professional.
Emerald Island is a lovely resort - and perfect if you are planning a Disney led trip (less so if you are more centred on Universal/ Sea W etc.) We made a lot of use of the Emerlad Island clubhouse and park.

The house met all my expectation and then some!!! The house was very roomy and the kitchen is huge and the cupboards was fully stocked. The house was very clean and neat. It looks like a model home. All the kids are still talking about how fun the house was. It was so helpful that there is a dishwasher and washer and dryer. We saved probably a good $1,000 by staying at this house. I Will try to book it again this year. Hopefully, it will be available. It was easy to book and the owner, Sue is very friendly and called me back when I requested her to.

The villa and Emerald Island area was excellent, we had a great time and really enjoyed the accomodation and superb location for access to the Disney Parks. The villa was fully equipped, and exceeded expectations. We will definitely book a villa again in the future on the Emerald Island.
There were only 2 issues with Winnies Retreat during our stay otherwise it was a wonderful experience. Firstly we paid for pool heating and did not receive it. It was reported verbally twice to the emergency contact as listed in the house literature and I e-mailed the owner but as yet have had no response or re-imbursement. To confirm, the pool service attendant informed the pool heating was not turned on. I am unclear as to how a customer can pay in advance for a service, not receive it, report it 3 times and receive no response regarding the issue or reimbursement.
Secondly, although on the surface clean, furniture was not pulled out and cleaned behind (we pushed 2 single beds together for our small kids so the little one didnt fall out and there were dead bugs from where we moved the bed, the sofa had an old toe? nail under it as we searched for a piece of jigsaw! The table was set and looked beautiful, but of course the crockery was very dusty as had been left out. The kitchen needed cleaning.
However, the above did not detract from our holiday ,we loved it.

We have been to Orlando Florida on 6 occassions now and I can honestly say that this villa and the Emerald Island Resort has proved by far the best.
If you want quality, luxuary and class in beautiful surroundings with superb on-site facilities then this villa and resort is for you.

We have stayed in a number of villas and this was by far the best. The descriptions and photographs were very accurate. My wife, who is very particular and extemely house proud, was delighted when she walked in to find a highly specced and homely place to spend our vacation. The property is excellent value for money. The owners have done an excellent job in making you feel like you are at home and not just in a rental villa. We were so impressed we reduced our plans to visit Tampa for a week following our visit to Orlando and booked an extra few days at the villa. As is the case in most of America, it will be essential to have a car to get to the villa and to travel to theme parks etc, but these are all within approximately 10 minutes drive of the villa. We will definately be booking again the next time we visit the states. The owners Colin and Sue and the management company they use have been excellent and really helpful throughout the whole process

We planned the trip for over a year, for it all to collapse as we were leaving fror the airport on friday. You cant believe how upset our Children (grown up) and grandkids were. But after frantic searching to retrieve something it was great to come across your villa .... especially as you gave us such a quick response that our booking was confirmed..... cant thank you enough for bringing the smiles back onto the grandkids faces

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at your townhome.My 3 granchildren loved the pool and the game room. I liked having an enclosed patio for them to play. We were absolutely delighted with the villa. It was immaculate and in a brilliant location for all attractions. We couldn't have asked for anything better. If we are lucky enough to visit Florida again we would definitely return to this villa and would certainly recommend it to anyone. The pool was lovely and we spent a lot of time in it and found the games room enjoyable. The only minor problem we found was with regard to the patio door. As the door needs to be closed because of the air conditioning, the child in our party walked into it several times when heading outside not realising that it was closed. If there was something on the door to highlight that it was closed it may prevent this. We did stick something to the glass of the patio door to avoid the child walking into it. We would like to say this is not a criticism but just thought we would point this out. As stated above we were delighted with the villa

everything about winnies retreat, was excellent from booking to value for money.
the things that disappointed us, was we had payed for the pool to be heated every day for 14 days, the 1st week there was a number of problems, after we reported it to maintenance.
the pool remained cold we spoke to the owner
after which we only had a heated pool for 3 days
also the phone was cut off for 3 or 4 days, this
also left us with no access to the internet.

The house was very spacious. Loved the settings. I would recommend more tolietries, such as soap, and toliet paper. To make the stay more accomendatable, like a hotel these items are inclusive in stay. Overall we enjoyed our stay, and would consider on our next vacation.

This was our first time renting a house on vacation and we totally enjoyed it. At the end of a long day of running around it felt good to come home to a house that felt like our own. There was penty of room for all of us and the kids enjoyed the amount of room the house had, the swimming pool and the fact that they each had their own TV's in their rooms. All in all the house was very clean and well maintained considering how many people come in and out of the home. We would recommend the house to others who are traveling to the Orlando area.

This villa was fantastic. It was eaxctly as described on the website. This is the second time we have been to Florida and it was the better of the 2 visits thanks to the flexibility of staying in a villa. We will never stay in an Orlando hotel again. The pool was fantastic, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to cook and the free Internet and phone calls were great, especially when the rental car had a flat tyre. With any luck we will be back again next year

receive the opportunity to meet with the owners and they were very friendly and accomodating. There was a problem with the Gas Grill. But the matter was resolve by the owners. Enjoyed the decor of the home and felt very much at home. The home has an abundance of space and excellent amenities. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The neighbourhood is quiet and Disney's gates are exactly 5 minutes away.

Was well worth the money and better then staying in hotel..... The spa temp could be little hotter.... They keep it at 104 degreees.. we went in march so we asked to raise it to 110 degrees for us and they did.....We plan to return in september for our next vacation..

This is wonderful place to stay. The place is decorated very well and for us, it was just like home. Having handy access to the pool and Jacuzzi was out of this world. We used it day and night. The lanai was a great idea and kept the bugs away. Master bedroom and ensuite were great. Loved the open concept Kitchen, eating area, living room and dining room. All the features of home. Would definitely make a return visit and stay there again. The owners (colin&sue) were extremely accommodating and helpful. We had a problem with the pool and that was taken care right away. We had a problem with key, had to call locksmith ,but owner reinbursed and gave us a £25 compensation.The Villa exceeded our expectations and catered for our every need. The decor was excellent and we found it an extremely comfortable and well looked after home. We also made great use of the excellent pool and Jacuzzi especially when returning home from days out at the Disney and Universal parks which are all within a short drive away. We would recommend this Villa to both groups of adults and families alike as the well-equipped games room caters for all. I will definitely be recommending this Villa to my family and friends and will be returning there myself next year

We had the most enjoyable time at this home. Had everything we needed and then some! Very spacious and clean! We were traveling with a handicap grandmother and first floor suite couldn't have been better! Very convenient location, close enough to everything, but not in the middle of it all. We had a wonderful holiday at this villa and it was only a 5 minutes drive from Disneyland on a straight route 192 W so easy to find your way to all the Orlando attractions. The villa was beautiful and so comfortable and clean. In fact we were sorry we did not plan or have the time to spend more time just in the villa so next holiday we are booking it for 3 weeks. The four poster bed and the floodlit pool was so romantic an extra bonus.

Well looked after property that was perfect for our need's. The games room in the garage is a good idea and was well used by all of us on a nightly basis,this was a life saver at the end of a busy day. We will definately be happy to visit this villa again. We had an absolute wonderful time! Just wish the weather had been better....it rained the whole time we were there so we could not take advantage of the hot tub and pool. The home was so spacious and we loved the open floor plan. We truly enjoyed cooking and dining in together....we watched movies and slept in every morning......it was a very restful trip for all of us! A really beautiful villa. We have rented many times in Florida but found this to be one of the best. Downside is that the pool is not as large as we have had in the past and also barbequeing is not allowed. Upside is that the villa was very clean,well equipped and had everything we required for a 2 week holiday. Games room was a bonus for the odd 'exhausted from the theme park' times! Loved to sit at the poolside overlooking the woods.Close to Disney,192 and International Drive, but far enough away not not be involved in the 'hurly burly'!We found the staff at the resort to be very helpful and friendly.Our major complaint was that we had to leave!!!!!"

Staying in this villa helped to make this a most enjoyable holiday. The property catered for all our needs to a very high standard. It's position was favourable, near to shops, restaurants and most importantly theme parks. We would definitetly recommend this villa to family and friends alike. Nothing was a problem when contacting Sue & colin, they were always very helpful and accommodating. The photographs of the villa on the web do it no justice at all & the sunset with disneys firework on th skyline is one to be remembered. sue Just writing to thank you and Mike, for the villa, It was better than was described to us, It is a very difficult thing to try and show people how good something is with pictures, But this villa is better than what you see in any picture you could show. Look no further! If you want a really spacious comfortable home from home, with that extra touch of luxury for an instantly relaxing family holiday, then this really is the villa for you. Our third visit to Florida and this the best property we have stayed in by far. This large, extremely smart, and spotlessly clean villa is situated about 2 miles away from disney an easy drive to the main theme parks in a quiet residential development in the countryside well away from main roads. The stunning vista and local birdlife are enchanting, breakfast outside with the sun rising over the trees early baloon's, swimming in the pool by moonlight both experiences that should not be missed. Our children loved chilling out in front of the giant TV in the lounge after a tiring day at the theme parks. Very comfortable and well equipped and particularly suitable for one or two families (or extended family) to share, with a particularly enormous master bedroom suite, we would have no hesitation recommending this property to others. Difficult to understand why anyone would ever want to pay a fortune to stay in a noisy, cramped hotel... Highly recommended

A beautiful home offering incredible value for money in a great location, matches the description exactly... Evenings in the heated spa were wonderful and the property was well maintained, we did not want for anything and as surrounded by stores as well as restaurants whom deliver the kids loved every minute. A short drive to Disney and the Interstate, in a quiet gated secure community which is just a perfect place to vacation and we'll be back next year. Thanks to Sue for making that extra effort to ensure our vacation was special."

"I and my family had a wonderful vacation in home it far exceeded our expectations and the pictures did not do it justice. Your direction from the airport to the villa were excellant we did not get lost once and your direction to Disney were also very good we did not get stuck in traffic once and you were right it did only take 3 min. The main problem we had was that the telephone would not work. Each time I tried to make a call using my phone card a voice kept telling me to contact the phone company. The other thing we found lacking in any way were the number of bath towels, other than that, the house was wonderful and supplies in the house exceeded expectations.

"WOW what a fantastic time we had. I don't think I will ever stay in a hotel again, having your own private pool and spa is really the way to go. After an exhausting day in the theme parks it was great to come home and relax by the pool with a cold beer and listen to the silence. Our holiday was over too soon and we would love to have stayed longer. we would recommend this villa very highly and have to all our family and friends. Hope to be back next year

We had an execellent vacation. The villa did exceed our expectation. It is well mantained. This is the first time I rented a villa, I always used to stay in a timeshare resort due to that I work in one. However, this time we planned a family gathering and decided to stay all together and it was a big success. It gives you a feeling of being home away from home. We took my live-in maid (nanny) along, so the ladies had a vacation too when it came to cooking cleaning etc. We all had a great time and ejoyed the warm pool early in the mornig and late in the evening after visiting the parks. Especialy the kids had a blast. One recommendatin for the Villas is to provide T.V. in all rooms;however, the kids were so entertained that they hardly had the time to watch t.v. Also to have one telephone upstairs in the master room. I normally visit Orlando every other year and would definetly return back to this villa and would also highly recommend it to all my friends. To the owner sue who was very attentive, Thank you very much to rent us your beautifull villa."

The poll deck is huge and we all had a great time relaxing in the warm pool and hot spa after a day in the theme parks or shopping malls. We will definatly rent this home for our next trip and certainly recommend it to anyone who want a great vacation

"We had a wonderful stay at the retreat on emerald island resort. The club house staff leave a lot to be desired,but that’s not your fault. Everything was clean and neat. We felt very welcomed when we walked in and saw the dining room table all set! The layout was perfect for our large family gathering. There were plenty of dishes, towels, blankets, sheets, pillows, etc. It was great having all the dvd’s (although we didn't watch any!) and all the games (which we did play with). My only criticism is that the pool was not warm enough., the weather was quite cool, although sunny. It would have been nicer if the pool could have been warmer and if the hot tub had instructions. One other minor thing -- we couldn't get the crib out of the downstairs master bedroom! Anyway, we enjoyed your villa very much and would definitely recommend it to friends!"

"We stayed for a few days and found the Resort and house excellent. The accomodation is clean and fully equipped with TVs in all rooms and DVD in the living area. The resort pool was fantastic for our kids with theplay-park’s and tennis courts. Some days they wanted to go there instead of the theme parks. All in all a great place for a vacation and I would recommend Emerald Island resort to anyone, especially families,I would recommend the retreat villa’s to every one

Excellent property which was maintained very well. Home was extremely comfortable and liveable. so close to disneys entrance you could almost walk there ,shops close ,resort has everything & villa really does live up to bring

Everything was fanatstic about this villa, the location, size, pool and especially the pool table. The only downfall was when we arrived the pool heat was not switched on and the bins or the fridge hadn't been emptied. Apart from that I will definitley stay at this villa again and recommend it to anyone

"Was it good value for money? Absolutely, the price was lower than most villas in the same area. The cost was less per night Than Disney's most inexpensive hotel room where you get one room and a small bath. To get 4 bedrooms, huge master bath, private screened pool and a fully stocked kitchen for less money, It is quite a deal. Did it meet your expectations? Exceeded my expectations, there were many extras that made the stay much easier such as Computer access, there were paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags and dishwasher detergent, These were nice surprises not usually found in other villas. Was the description accurate? Yes, property was just as described. Would you recommend it to a friend? Already have recommended this property for a get together next June. Were you adequately looked after during your stay? Yes, however, we did not encounter any problems and had no need to contact anyone. "I have rented some 6 times before and found your property to be the best yet! The pool heat actual worked well and was comfortable the entire stay, the big screen tv made me feel more like I was at my own home, the game room was just great for me and the kids, the house was very clean, the layout was perfect and the location was just right. I will rent this property again!"

"Extremely well-equipped villa - excellent for the 3 families who were holidaying together. Number of bathrooms great especially since we had a few teenage girls with us! Any problems were efficiently and quickly dealt with by the management company. Really appreciated the Welcome Pack since our flights were delayed and we didn't arrive until almost midnight. Would not hesitate to use this villa and Villarenters again - have already recommended both to friends!"
