''We had an excellent time thanks, the apartment was great, really well appointed - everything we needed.
Vernet was brilliant, although I suspect a little quieter than the locals would've liked. We spent about 1.5hrs each day wandering to outlying villages, mainly the Plus Belle de France ones.
We dined out about half the time, making excellent use of your Bar-b-que on the other evenings....
I also made use of your library and finished two and a half books.
Our trip home went as planned apart from slight hysterics from our 2 year old on take-off. It seems she didn't want to go home, but then
neither did I.''

Christmas visitors from Australia...
We had a wonderful time in Vernet. The apartment has amazing views and was very comfortable. Seeing all the books made me very happy after
having no room to take any with us! The town was lovely too ...and the nunnery on the hill...

...We particularly marvelled at the surroundings on a walk up in the National
Park above Mont Louis, and we had a couple of good dinners at the restaurant
at the top of the hill town at Vernet itself. I've forgotten the name
already, but the English translation, they told us, was 'cow stable'.
We also took the waters at St Thomas les Bains, and felt the better for doing so....

''Thank you both for a wonderful holiday in your apartment. We understand why this property won your hearts. The location, the view, the town and access to so many places. We loved the dairy herd coming up the road with their bells ringing, the wren singing on the balcony, the eclectic book choice on your shelves, the festival to bring the sacred flame from Canigou to the villages, the quality of the fruit farms..........''
