Really enjoyed our visit here - the villa was well maintained and we were met and briefed by the property managers on arrival. We were provided with lots of local information as well as a friendly welcome. The residential area is peaceful with pubs/banks/shops within 10-15 minutes walk. Within a short drive are some excellent beaches and the usual good shopping of Spain. 20 drive from Alicante airport too. With WiFi, rooftop barbecue and very secure alarms/gates/locks, I would not hesitate to come here again.

Lovely villa with everything you need for your holiday. The villa was very comfortable and in a quiet area. We had an excellent welcome package on arrival. There are a number of bars and restaurants in walking distance but If you are planning to see the area I would recommend a car to get around. We had a very relaxing holiday and would recommend the villa to friends and family.

We spent a wonderful 10 days in the La Marina Villa at the end of September. We really did not want to leave to come home. The villa was exactly as we expected it to be, which was wonderful. I brought my parents with me, they both really loved it and were delighted to have a bedroom and bathroom downstairs. Darren provided an easy booking experience and was so helpful in providing any information we requested before our holiday. Alan was a gem. He helped us find our way around and ensured we had everything we needed. Nothing was a problem to him (even on a Sunday afternoon, when I was having a senior moment and couldnt figure out how to open the washing machine!!).
We did a lot of travelling about, and would certainly recommend you hire a car. The local beaches are beautiful and well worth a visit. We spent a happy afternoon in the Yacht Club in Santa Pola, drinking coffee and watching a thunder storm. We also visited Elche, there is a great big El Corte Ingles department store here with loads of underground parking - shoppers heaven! We took a trip up the coast to Benidorm to the Benidorm Palace for a nights entertainment, had some wonderful meals on the sea front at Guardamar, spent a few quiet hours wandering around San Fulgencio, as well as sunbathing by the pool. We ate in the Chinese restaurants in La Marina most nights, the quality of the food was excellent and the value was amazing ! The villa is located in a lovely quiet area of La Marina. It is very well kept and we felt at home in it immediately. We are looking forward to returning again, hopefully next year.

Property in excellant condition.
We were met at 11pm on Saturday night after a late flight, really appreciated the free food pack, and were allowed to stay in the property til 7pm the following Saturday as there was no booking the next week.
Everything was as advertised, and the service more than friendly and accomodating. Would strongly recommend it.

Very spacious and comfortable with all needs met for 6 people although It is now probabely ready for redecorating otherwise evrything was ok.
The shared pool is kept in very clean conditon and while we were there had almost sole use of it for 2 weeks.
Meet and greet guy called Alan saw to anything we needed so couldnt ask for more,

We recently spent a 2 week holiday at La Marina Villa, we found the villa spacious and clean with a lovely pool and the added bonus of home comforts that you would want whilst on Holiday. The villa is situated in a quiet residential area with good access to a choice local shops and bars within walking distance. We opted for a hire car with the coastal town of Guadarmar within a 5 minute drive. A beautiful beech and a vast range of shops and restaurants and bars to choose from. There was also a 20 minute drive the town of Torrevieja for some serious shopping mall choices. For us the villa and surrounding area really ticked all the boxes and we had a fabulous family holiday and we will definitley be returning.

We found the property good although the web page indicated our own pool, not shared? and the only other problem was the a/c did not make any difference when it was on, which indicated it was not working properly.

Thank you for your review and the positive property recommendation. To avoid your further confusion, our booking website particularly draws attention to the fact that this property has access to a ‘shared pool’ along with several other properties within the development and as with all Air Conditioning systems, doors & windows need to remain closed for the duration such a system is in use for correct operation. We tested the air conditioning immediately after your departure and everything was found to be working satisfactorily.

After 2 stays at your villa I would say the following:
The villa is ideally situated for a holiday in the Costa Blanca. Within a 10/15 mins drive there are some excellent beaches, kept clean daily.
Of interest, close to the villa, are several small towns, e.g. Santa Pola and Guardamar, with plentiful restaurants selling good value meals and drinks. Within 10 mins drive from the villa there are 4 supermarkets selling good produce at reasonable prices. In the area there are daily markets where the fresh produce on sale is excellent.

Just got back from our stay in your villa in La Marina. We were pleasantly impressed with the villa and the communal pool - there were only a couple of people using it on a couple of occasions - otherwise we had it to ourselves. The shallow end was much loved by our 16 month old grand-daughter !!!
The welcome pack was much appreciated and was even better than we had anticipated. Alan, who met us and showed us around was very helpful.
The only criticisms would be - some of the crockery items were chipped and a second set of keys would have been handy, as, on a couple of occasions we wanted to go out separately from our daughter and family. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the villa and the area.

Thank you for your feedback and we agree with your comments regarding the second set of keys and these are now available for larger parties that require them. I have also asked our property manager to go through the crockery with a fine tooth comb and to replace anything that is not in perfect condition.

Thank you for your enquiry regarding our stay in your villa in La Marina we had an excellent break and were extremely comfortable in your villa. We were very impressed with the standard of the accommodation throughout, from the general comfort point of view through to the thoughtfulness of the provision of kitchen utensils etc (not that we did much cooking!).
Very clean and tidy on arrival, also the welcome food pack was brilliant. It was lovely to be met in person by Alan when we arrived to quickly run through an introduction to the villa and familiarise us with how things worked, and to know he was available if there were any problems which there weren’t – Alan was also able to advise us on a local carhire company.
Plenty of space both inside and out for us all, and private space which is always good when travelling with teenagers! We didn’t use the pool as whilst the weather was mild it was not quite warm enough for a dip, but we did enjoy soaking up the sun late afternoon on the veranda, watching the sun go down!!
The villa is located in a good base for exploring the Alicante coastal area, is conveniently situated from the airport. We found it useful to have a car, but there is a good supermarket close by and also some very reasonable restaurants with friendly service. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the villa.

Finding somewhere suitable for 4 young boys has been a challenge in the past, but this villa fitted the bill. The pool is superb (and for the vast majority of the week, we were the sole users) and theres plenty of space around the villa itself and the pool area. Its location was ideal - a couple of minutes walk from the play area and football court, a pleasant stroll to the local village and a short drive from beautiful beaches. We particularly liked the homely touches such as toys for the pool, food basics (sugar, coffee, olive oil etc) and plenty of cleaning materials to clean up after our mob! The contact with the villa owners was excellent and the local representative who met us on arrival was also very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again. Thank you.

We had an excellent holiday thanks, and the Villa was everything we could have hoped for. We thought it was very high standard accomodation, with everything we could possibly need. We especially liked the terraced area with bbq, and the fact that there was fully adjustable air conditioning in the bedroom as well as the main living area. We had no problems with access to the pool, and we had it to ourselves for the whole week.
Booking this villa couldnt have been easier, and all the information we needed was given to us. Alan was very helpful too, and explained everything we needed to know on site.
The weather was great for the whole week too!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the villa in La Marina. The villa was beautiful and I think we lived out on the Sun Pavilion having BBQ’s and sunning ourselves for the whole week. The lounge bar and staff ended up being the local and we had a lovely Sunday roast!

The property in La Marina was well equiped, spaceous and homely, with both air conditioning and heating for the winter months. The villa is quite new, and has plenty of room, there is a community pool a stones throw away and it is situated in a quiet area. Villa Jones rental was on the ball with directions and all the necessary details needed to reach your destination quickly and safely. La Marina itself has loads of nearby bars, and some very good restaurants, especially The Grill Bar which offers a fantastic menu at reasonable prices. Great place for a family holiday. Highly recommended.

On the whole we thought the property was good value for the money we paid it was clean and comfortable. The villa could do with a few more plates, mugs, etc. if it caters for 6 people. The upstairs solarium was a lovely place to chill out - plenty of room.

The villa in La Marina was clean and spacious. Most of the time we had the pool to ourselves. There were several bars at 2 centres within a 10 minute walk and every meal we ate was of a high standard. The locals were always very friendly, although I would recommend that you check your change if you eat at Teo Pepe. La Marina is very much like Little Britain, to see the real Spain or beach you do need to hire a car.
It was an enjoyable holiday.

I was very pleased with the Villa it was everything I hoped it would be and more, very clean, modern and comfortable to be honest we couldnt fault it (apart from there was not any Pint Glasses:).
The check in was great thanks for getting us in early and Alan let us stay till 11 on check out which helped, Alan was also very helpfull.
All in all an excellent holiday was had by all! Fantastic villa! Modern, clean and very safe for children to run around un supervised. Especially appreciated the UK TV once the kids were in bed.
I will definitely put JonesVillas top of my list when booking my next trip.

we have recently stayed in the villa in La Marina and would like to say that it was fabulous,lots of thought put into the villa as it has everything in there that you could possibly want.The villa was immaculately clean and very comfortable.Location good but you do need a car to get to all the surrounding areas as they are not within walking distance.Loads of places to visit though within a short drive.Dealing with the company has been very promt and professional and we were very impressed with Alan,the property manager,who was very informative and helpful and went the extra mile to make our stay very pleasurable.A great place to chillax and would highly reccommend it to anyone.Many,many thanks yet again.

This was our first trip to this particular area of Spain, usually we stay with family a bit further north, so to stay in a villa of such a high standard was lovely.
The Villa has everything you need for a perfect stay and is of a particularly high standard, both in quality and cleanliness.
Alan, our welcomer was waiting for us on our arrival and showed us everything we needed to know about our home for the week.
The Villa is well placed for all amenities and very close to a wonderfully long stretch of blue flag beaches.
We would highly recommend Jones Villas to anyone looking for either a relaxing stay in the beautiful Spanish sun or a fun time along the Coast Blanca coast as Benidorm and other bustling towns are not too far away.

The villa was excellent, 5* very clean and well looked after it had everything that you could need, ( I was surprised to see all the bars at the doors and windows ) the transfer service also excellent and Alan was always there if you needed anything.BUT it was not what I know of Spain, the description says `Villa rental in La Marina Pueblo` PUEBLO= VILLAGE, La Marina village was a few kilometers away, the villa was on the largest urbanisation in Europe, the 10 min stroll to local shops and bars was a 10 min stroll to little England ( Brits living abroad drinking all day ) not a Tapas bar in sight. We envisaged using the sun terrace during the day, then strolling to the `local` bars and restaurants, but we had to hire a car to find Spain. I was very pleased with the villa,
location NO!!!!!!

This was an excellent property to stay in. Very relaxing in a nice quiet area with good local amenities. We virtually had the pool to ourselves for the whole of the two weeks. We had a fantastic stay and came back totally refreshed.The property itself was very comfortable for the six of us with more than emough room and was kept in an excellent condition.Best beach was Guagamal with a superb nighttime market nd loverly seafront restaurents and all within 15 minutes drive. An excellent family holiday.

We absolutely loved the villa at La Marina,it was very clean and spacious.The pool and area around was also well kept.Met a few of the neighbours in the pool and all were very friendly,particularly enjoyed one night sat on the solarium listening to the next door neighbour with his guitar, singing, while he was sat with friends it was really lovely.
Would definetley recommend The Grill House for a meal out,it was excellent and the chinese at Quesada,Rojales,this was only 9 euro and eat as much as you like.
We would love to come back sometime again for another relaxing holiday,Thanks.
Would like to suggest a cool box and ice blocks for the villa so you can take drinks and snacks down to the beach with you.

The villa is absolutely gorgeous and very user friendly. Everything we needed was there in fact I cant think of anything at all that was missing. The property manager was friendly and very helpful. The pool and villa were much larger than they seemed in the photos. The pool area was brilliant and clean and we did have the pool to ourselves a lot of the time. I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone looking for a quiet serene holiday in a home away from home.

Thank you, we had a lovely time at La Marina and we would certainly visit again. It was ideally located for the sights around the area and your recommendations were great - we had a lovely meal at the restaurant at the top of the road. Alan was also really helpful, giving us a few tips.
The villa was well furnished and just what we expected it was also great that somebody had left their blow up boat as our son played with it constantly! Our son called the villa his holiday home and it certainly was that, a home from home! The villa is spacious and managed to cope with everyone from a 5 month old to an 82 year old! We loved the roof top bar-b-q! It was also really peaceful and everyone we met around the area was really friendly. We also had the pool to ourselves all the time which the kids loved.
The only thing we would recommend would be a few more chairs for outside. There was only 4 upstairs and we managed as we only needed 5, but if there was 6 adults it would be a bit of a pain. It was also lovely to sit out the front in the morning and again there could be more chairs or a better table to have breakfast.

The property was five star, and had all you could ask for. As in many of the other reviews about this property we had the pool to ourselves most of the time. The few things that let the property down was the view to the front of the property, and the communal gardens had a lot of dog foul around. But apart from that it was a fantastic villa.

We are obviously concerned by your comments regarding the dog foul and immediately investigated the cause. Our neighbour has informed us that a cat has recently been coming into the communal gardens for relief in the gravelled area. Solutions to the problem have been put forward and steps are being taken to alleviate the issue.

My family and I were delighted when we first saw the Villa on our arrival, and our feelings were enhanced even more once we entered the property, it was everything and more than our perceived expectation.
Would have liked to have stayed much longer, but hope to return, and will most certainly recommend highly to other family members and friends alike.

This is a lovely villa providing comfortable family accomodation, with a nice pool at the rear of the property. Friendly and helpful neighbours. There are some nice restaurants within short drive of the villa. A car is needed to get to the beach and the lovely restaurants further afield, although there is a good supermarket and restaurants within walking distance.

We stayed at the La Manga property in April last year, and at the La Marina property at the end of March this year, and have to say that both properties are furnished well and very clean. Both have all that you need for a great holiday, but in different ways. At La Manga, the view of the harbour was lovely, and at both La Manga and La Marina - the local facilities were excellent, food was good and service well above average.. Booking through Jonesvillas was pleasant and straightforward.. I would like to see more Jones Villas, preferably with private rather than communal pool, in the same general Alicante area as we visit regularly and this was the one thing that would determine where we stay...

this was the first time we had booked a villa, and would definitely do this again. the villa was fantastic, we had the pool to ourselves most of the time which enables you to move into the shade when needed!!
plenty of resteraunts and bars in the area all within walking distance, and the beach is only a small journey in the car.
car is recommended if you want to go that bit further, as there is lots to do.
overall a fantastic holiday !!!!

The pool was within a stones throw from the villa so we could see the children from the villa bedroom. A clean and tidy villa, well managed and looked after.

Having previously used Villa Renters and also stayed at another JonesVillas accommodation, I had no hesitation in using either again. This villa in La Marina is both comfortable and impressively located. Just a few minutes by car to the beach where we used the new beach bar & eatery and a leisurely stroll from the villa to the local shops & bars where a good supermarket & British style butcher among others can be found. Try ‘the venue’ nightclub for a late night drink. The private garden area of the villa, quite pool area (felt like having a private pool its so quite) and the local children’s play area en route to the shops were all used by our party. As we have come to expect with JonesVillas accommodation, it is appointed to a very high standard with everything included for a great holiday. The meet and greet service offered is also very good. Gina did a great job of letting us know what’s what. We can’t wait to go back later in the year.

The villa itself was beautiful and very good value for money. The owner was most helpful with supplying airport transfer details and different websites.
My only critiscism really is that it was too urban. The local bars and restaurants were not really very trendy or located in a particularly nice location. They were all a good ten minute plus walk away. The view from the villa was a building site due to the expansion in the area.
The beach took us over an hour to walk to which was a lot further than we expected and there was nothing there when we eventually arrived.
A great villa in a quiet residential location, not really near to much on foot. Very clean villa and ideal if you want to chill out and do nothing. The pool area was very clean and quiet.

No problems with the villa at all. Took me a bit of time to work out the hob a v. simple 123 written instruction would help here I think as so much to go through when we picked up keys that when I came to use it I had forgotten the procedure - just lots of beeping noises!!. Cot and welcome pack were there as per instructions. Great holiday and no doubt you will see us back again.

Far surpassing our expectations our recent stay at the jonesvillas villa in La Marina was brilliant!! The accommodation was clean, fully equipped and comfortable. It was great for the children to have their own private garden to use for play and with the added advantage of being secure from the main pool area.
For best use a car is ideal, the beach being about 10 minutes away as well as some of the best visitor attractions. There are loads of shops and restaurants within a short stroll from the villa though (you can even get a decent curry).
This is one place we will be back to again and again for a ‘really relaxing’ family holiday. Thanks jonesvillas, 5 Stars.

We had a lovely stay at the villa in La Marina. The villa itself was clean and tidy with fresh, modern furnishings and Gina was very helpful with local information. We travel to Spain approximately three times a year and this is the first time we've stayed at La Marina. Although the Urbanization is still undergoing some development the villa is situated in a peaceful area - which is always a bonus!

We were not told or forewarned that the water and electricity supply would be on and off at any given time. There was no warning. It was a big problem for us having children and not having any water most of the time. It was off more then it was on. Then on the Friday the electricity supply kept going off, we only could put it on again as being an electrician, i could find the switch at the box near the swimming pool, otherwise the whole street would have been without any power. That was the only downfall of the villa, the location, the villa itself was excellent, i would book again, only if i was sure that we wouldnt have problems with the water and power supply.

It is with regret that we acknowledge the problems you encountered with the service utilities while staying in La Marina. It has since been widely reported in both the Spanish local and national press that the Alicante and Murcia regions have suffered from acute water shortages due to the lack of rainfall in 2006. On further investigation following your review we now understand that without notice, a number of town halls in the area took the unprecedented decision to restrict the supply by switching it off for about an hour in the morning and evening around the time you were staying. As we are sure you will appreciate, this was outside of our control. We understand that restrictions have been lifted and our more recent guests have not reported any further supply problems. We have also had the electrics fully tested for faults. No defects were discovered and no further problems have been reported. Your comments are appreciated and we’ll continue to monitor the situation. We would love to welcome you back to the villa sometime in the future and assure you of our best attention at all times.

The Location is a bit a drawback and if you are
coming first time it would be difficult to locate
the villa. Also the swimming pool in the deep end
there are no steps to come out and you have to push your yourself upwards and get scrathed by the rough on the pool .The apartment was well cleaned and ready when we got there.Finally the lady Gina was very heplful .

We have recently revised our location details, which also now include a map and recent guests have had no problem with finding the villa. Thank you for pointing out the lack of steps in the deep end of the pool, a set has now been installed.
