Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed staying at Colletto for the last two weeks. The house and location are fabulous. Enrico came with AnnaMaria to make Pizza for us last week which was a real treat, although the quantity was a little overwhelming! They are such nice people.

The property was extremely well equipped and had excellent views across the countryside. The extensive gardens are well managed and offer great protection from the midday sun. If you are up to it the wood burning oven is well worth a try for your own pizzas.

It seemed that the renters had thought of everything...
Not only was the villa beautiful, the gardens so outstanding that movie-makers should be competing to film there, and the views spectacular, but everything had been put in place to cater for the needs and comfort of 8 people.
It was also particularly delightful that we were sufficiently off the beaten path that the local villagers seemed genuinely pleased to see us around - we did not seem to be an intrusion into their lives.
It was an easy drive to all the local cities of interest - Lucca, Florence, Viareggio, Siena - once you had mastered the art of driving uphill and round the hairpin bends!
Both Nora (housekeeper) and Gregg (gardener/all-round handyman) made every effort each day to see that all was well.
The only problem was the sometimes intermittent quality of the internet - perhaps we should have left our workaholic at home!
I can think of no more wonderful place to relax and enjoy the finer things in life!

We feel very privileged to have been the first visitors to Colletto and to have been blessed with such wonderful weather. We were a party of 14 which took some managing. We all totally loved the house & garden and the enchanting village of Coreglia.

We feel so fortunate to have found Colletto. It is everything we hoped it would be and more! The purpose of our vacation was to find a villa in the mountains with a serene & relaxing atmosphere. Colletto has surpassed our greatest expectations. The breathtaking scenery, the beautiful accomodation and extreme hospitality have made our trip very rewarding.
