Loveday
We have just returned from our stay at this Villa. The views from this property are absolutely stunning and the location, although a little far from the sea, is still very commutable. We went to Marbella several times and even ventured up to Gibralta, which is well worth a visit. The Villa is very well designed and has an excellent Kitchen which has everything you need, a lot of thought has gone into this.
The down sides are:
The towells supplied were as hard and rough as sandpaper - we had to wash them before use.
The Pillows smelt damp and musty, upon inspection they were in a disgusting state, yellow stains all over - Uck. Need throwing away and replacing regularly. We know people sweat in the heat, but who puts a pillowcase on a smelly dirty pillow!
The toilets constantly smelt of sewage, there was a bottle of bleach in each toilet, which we had to use daily, also used a lot of air fresheners.
There were no cushions on the plastic sun beds, very hard to lie down and sunbathe. We did telephone the housekeeper to see if they were hidden away - none materialised. Great shame as most of us go away to sunbathe.
We were there 10 days, the bed linen was not changed.despite me emailing before our journey asking if the laundry would be changed and I was assured that it would be. Again, had to wash them ourselves.
Almost all the neighbours had 2 or more dogs and the noise of barking was constantly there day and night. The Spanish do not seem bothered. But the barking did keep you awake at night.
The pool was a little on the small side, but nevertheless it was thoroughly enjoyed by us all. However, the shower by the pool did not work and there was moss growing on the tiles inside the pool.
The general state of the gardens and poolside are in desperate need of attention, the fence at the bottom of the pool area kept blowing down and my husband tried to repair it on numerous occasions, however in the end he just rolled it up. This solved the problem, but of course we lost our privacy.
The Villa is lovely, the owners have put a lot of thought into it, they just need to ensure that the Property Services managing the property on there behalf are doing there job,

This is indeed a very nice villa! We were a family of 4 and enjoyed the space. The pictures dont do it justice (in fact we almost didnt book due to few pics - recommend more, as booking is easer if one can see more of the property). The view was absolutely fabulous - lovely to sit on the balcony mornings and evenings! The villa i situated in a nice area on the hillside giving it a nice breeze on hot days. It was also perfectly located on the map. Easy access by car to great sites. Everybody staying here should make the trip to Granada/Alhambra (what a place!), to Rhonda (awesome!), and to Puerto Banus (walk on the keyside and check out the market!). The nearby restaurant Leslies is a find! Difficult not to visit them for lunch and dinner every day! The first upstairs bedroom toilet had a really foul smell, should be fixed. The only bad thing to say about the stay had nothing to do with the villa but the neighbours. Must be a Spanish thing to let your dogs bark all day and all night! Since each villa had 2-4 dogs each, the noice was really annoying at times. Loose the dogs, and this would absolutely be the most perfect place to stay! But that being said: we really had a fantastic two weeks in villa Amarilla! Anne :-)

Just a couple of things to suggest:
1. The fencing needs attaching on the side with the neighbours building the pool (we repaired it temporarily whilst we were there)
2. The lock on the downstairs bathroom needs to be re-screwed
We did have an issue with the water temperature but this was fixed as soon as we reported it which we were very happy with.
Overall an oustanding villa in a great location and we have already sent a link to other friends.
