Posidonion Apartment Kapparis is a beautifully furnished, well equipped and fully air conditioned / heated four bedroom first floor apartment, offering luxurious accommodation for up to 8 people, with an enclosed communal swimming pool and garden areas located within a few metres of the spacious patio. The enclosed pool area has communal gardens, large fixed shade umbrellas and tables and chairs. The swimming pool is crystal clear all year and the complex cleaning is immaculate. The apartment is hugely spacious at 114 sq metres with an additional 45 sq metres verandah with table, 8 chairs and sunloungers.
The apartment is situated in the Famagusta District, in a quiet area of Kapparis, a village on Cyprus' Eastern Coast, a short drive to the coastal resort of Protaras. It is 69km from Larnaca Airport of which 60kms are travelled on motorway / dual carriageway, therefore, transfer time is approx 45 minutes.
The traditional Cypriot town of Paralimni with its historic church square is variety of shops and bars is 2km away. Many local tavernas are in easy reach.
There are excellent sandy coves approx. a 15 - 20 minute walk away (a few minutes by taxi, hire car or scooter) and also a small marina at nearby Agias Trias beach.
A selection of bars and restaurants can be found in the Kapparis village, a 10 - 15 minute walk away.
If you are looking for a peaceful holiday a short distance away from the main tourist and commercialised resorts, then Kapparis is for you.
If you prefer the livelier options, Pernera and Protaras are within easy reach at less than 6km away. Protaras Fig Tree Bay is a must for beach lovers. Ayia Napa, with its famous Nissi Beach, and Water World are within 10kms. Both Ayia Napa and Protaras and Pernera hold a huge variety of pubs, clubs, restaurants and discos and a multitude of watersports.
The apartment covers an internal area of 114 sq. metres and has a verandah of 45 sq. metres, so you will not be short of space. The interior comprises a huge open plan kitchen / dining / lounge area, a main bathroom and four bedrooms, all of which have been furnished and equipped to a high standard. There are 3 large double bedrooms ( one of which has a communal shower / WC room ) and a further bedroom with a pair of twin beds. All bedrooms have built in wardrobes. There is no provision for sleeping on sofas in the living room, as stated, this is a genuine 4 bedroom apartment.
The lounge and the dining area have adequate seating for 8 people on two large super comfy sofas . For your entertainment a satellite television and a DVD player is provided. The satellite service incorporates music channels, movies, sports, news channels as well as cartoon channels for the younger guests. There is a very informative welcome pack in the apartment giving information on local attractions and resort information, restaurants, places to see, and other useful everyday information holidaymakers wish to know about.
The kitchen is fully equipped with hob, oven, grill, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, etc. You will also find a washing machine, iron and ironing board. An extensive range of cutlery, crockery, glassware, and cooking utensils are provided including extras such as wine coolers, freezer bags / blocks, food blender, plastic cutlery / plates, straws, etc for younger guests.
A high chair and travel cot are also provided in the apartment.
The main bathroom is fitted with bath / shower, wash basin, and UK style toilet and storage space. The en suite shower room is fitted with shower, wash basin and UK style toilet.
For your comfort all living / sleeping areas have state of the art powerful air conditioning (cooling and heating) and double glazed windows. The living room patio doors onto the verandah are fitted with fly screens.
All floors are tiled and walls are complete with pictures for that extra home from home feeling.
Towels and bed linen are provided. Please bring your own beach towels.
The apartment is cleaned immediately prior to arrival. Although Cyprus has the luxuary of being an island which is virtually crime free, the apartment has been fitted with extra security measures / locks for your added security of personal belongings and piece of mind.
The large patio area is accessed through patio doors in the lounge and the fourth bedroom, on which, you will find table, chairs, sun loungers, etc.
Sit back and relax on the spacious patio or take a swim in the communal pool which is located within metres of the patio. The pool is close enough to toss a coin into from the verandah, but we ask that you do not try ! The pool and main rear communal areas are gated / fenced off with railings to retain its private status and access is gained to the gates from the side of our apartment block. The current view on the pool side of the apartment ( ie, from the verandah ) is towards the sea and Famagusta Bay and the ghost town of Famagusta.
The apartment is West facing, therefore, during the summer months, from sunrise until about 0900, part of the patio is in the shade, allowing you to enjoy breakfast in the shade in the early morning. However, for guests wishing to have breakfast in the warmth of the early morning sun, just move your loungers to the edge of the verandah and you can enjoy uninterrupted sunshine from dawn to dusk.
At the rear of the apartment there is an allocated covered parking area with plenty of space.
The apartment is a NO SMOKING apartment. We respectfully request you do not smoke inside the apartment.

We request you vacate the apartment on the day of departure by 10am, however, provided there are no back to back bookings we will be flexible with regards to this time. It is unlikely we will be able to give you a definite answer at the time of booking but please advise us when booking should a later departure time be required.
Car hire is advisable as there are many beautiful beaches, traditional inland Cypriot villages and historic sites within a short driving distance.
There are many car hire companies at Larnaca Airport and in the Kapparis / Protaras areas. Whilst there are many companies, we use Empire car Rentals, Kapparis.
For ease, you can collect the car from the airport and dro p it back off there.
Car hire can be booked in advance via the internet.
Please note that car hire in Cyprus is not available to anyone under 21 years of age.
REMEMBER TO TAKE YOUR DRIVING LICENCE.
Taxis are available at the airport and cost around EUR45 each way.
SUPERMARKETS AND SHOPS
There are a number of supermarkets close to the apartment, details of which can be found within our information pack in the apartment. These include 2 large U.K style supermarkets, from which you can purchase almost anything from groceries to sunbeds. These sell the same produce / brands as you would find in England.
There is also a 24 hour bakery, located approx 1km from the apartment. The bakery stocks a good range of essential foods as well as traditional breads and pastries. We have found the bakery very useful, particularly when arriving in the early hours of the morning, for purchases of milk, etc.
Generally, most restaurants in Cyprus are cheaper than they are in the UK.
Cyprus has a wide range of different international cuisines available unlike some other holiday islands you may have sampled, all at reasonable prices. We have tried out many local tavernas, which offer traditional Cypriot dishes of Kleftiko, Stifado, Moussaka and the bellybursting, mouthwatering Mezes. Cypriot food is at its best in the many genuine tavernas and you’ll be more than pleasantly surprised if you venture into one of these for both food and atmosphere. There is a huge variety of restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets in the tourist areas.

PLEASE NOTE: In common with many other larger properties in Cyprus, there are penalties in place (per person per night) for over occupancy above the 8 persons allowed for insurance reasons.
The apartment is in a quiet area. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a west facing garden, a west facing patio area, sea views, panoramic views. There is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting. Sun ALL day. Ceiling fans in ALL bedrooms aswell as air con in all rooms. Flyscreens on all windows and verandah doors.
