What a beautiful villa! The photos do not do it justice.Although it is not the villa shown next to the pool, it is a mere 20 meters if that away.We only saw 2 more families in the pool during our stay and our children met some wonderful friends. The pool is not heated which we found a welcome relief to the daytime heat. A fantastic location, although within walking distance to town, was greatly enhanced by the rental of our car, which helped with shopping and trips to water parks. The villa itself was immaculate and Alan was fantastic at showing us around and welcoming.Very spacious and clean with everything you need.I can see it being perfect for a romantic couple or a family like ourselves.Highly recommended and will definately return.

The villa iself was adequate although there were 1 or 2 unsatisfactory items. Dirty bbq. cooker and washing machine poor, shower screen door off runners, towel rail fell off wall. Insufficient cutlery and glass for 6 people. Would be greatly enhanced by addition of plunge pool. No seats around communal pool

We have 2 young children and thought this would be an ideal place due to it being a 15 min stroll to the centre. This was actually a 40 min walk down a long hill to everything. There is no local shop or suitable restaurants nearby so you have to walk 40 min to go to the nearest supermarket/wait for a bus or pay 10 euros for a taxi each way.
It was suggested we hired a car purely for going to the supermarket but this was too expensive and didnt mind a 15 min stroll but this was not the case. The kitchen lacked cooking equipment. There are plenty of plates, a great microwave and cooker but nothing apart from 3 pans with no lids to cook with. Some of the equipment was rusty hence we ate out most of the time which has cost us more money than we took.
There is a tv with only 1 spanish channel that works. There is a dvd player but no dvds to watch. The agents let us borrow their own personal collection.
The picture shown with the pool is not this villa it is a familys villa who live there so you do not step out onto it as it suggests. The pool is behind a row of villas behind this one. Our children loved the pool but there were no seats to sit on.
The agents Alan and his wife looked after us and were very lovely people. They were great when the taxi we hired from the airport and booked in England dro pped us off in the wrong area!
The villa is very spacious, lovely dinining table, plenty of sunbeds and a great outdoor area with table and in a nice quiet area. Great for people with older children who dont mind driving everywhere or having a long daily walk.

The villa is in a good position for the beaches, shops and town.
The terrace has the most wonderful view of the sun setting over the mountains in the late evening (just like the cover of the Eagles LP Hotel California - if you know it - palm trees in a red sky) and is sunny from late morning onwards.
The swimming pool is very good but could benefit from some steps at the deep end!
The kitchen was lacking in some items of cooking utensils eg more saucepans, wooden spoons, oven gloves etc for people like us who like to cook of an evening.
The steep slope and angle into the carport was rather difficult to negotiate - especially in the dark.
The automatic gate also caused some problems when it did not work. This was remedied by a neighbour who just pulled it open!
The villa seemed secure being high above the road but some window grilles down stairs would make it better for sleeping at night with the windows open.
A second set of keys would be useful - our teenage children preferred sometimes not to go out with us and it was a bit tricky only having one set of keys.
Overall we had a very good holiday - Calpe is the best town we have been to so far in the Costa Blanca. We will definitely go to Calpe again as the view from the top of the rock is amazing.
