The property was exactly as described and in excellent order. It was very clean and well equipped.
Its location is great being only a short walk from Kalkan old town and all the local amenities.
I would certainly recommend this property and the owner Lorretta was a great help in sourcing transfers and car hire.

Nice 2 bed apartment in a quiet area just set back from the Kalamar road.
About 10 minutes walk to Kalkan old town and 15 minutes to the harbour.
There is one small supermarket 2 minutes away along with a few restaurants. Kalkan has a number of larger supermarkets and approx 250 restaurants!
The apartment is very clean and well kitted out with all the normal things you require. Air Conditioning in both bedrooms and a large fan in the lounge.
There is a nice quite pool which is shaded in the afternoon, so it was great to have a cooling dip after a day out without having to worry that the kids would get burnt.
And many thanks to the owner Loretta for answering all of my questions.

This 2 bedroom apartment is very clean and well equipped. 4 adults stayed in this apartment for 2 weeks and found it very comfortable and quiet.
Maids came after one week. It is as advertised only about a 10 minute walk to the town.
Directly opposite the apartment is an unfinished
apartment block which did spoil the setting a little, but building work is not allowed during the main tourist months so hopefully it will be completed this winter.
Excellent value for money and I would rent this apartment again.

The apartment had all the aquipment required and was very clean. The location was a two minute walk to the start of the village at a roundabout. From there a 5-10 minute walk to the harbour. The pool was good, and inpart shade during the day with the suns positioning.Accomodation was in a very quiet area and would suit a family of four.Overall a nice apartment for a nice price.

We stayed at Lorretta and Graham's apartment in September 2006. We had never been to Turkey before and we chose Kalkan because it didn't seem too touristy. We were not dissapointed, whist there is tourism in this area it is very low key, no night clubs blaring music, no fast food outlets etc. Instaed a plethora of fantastic restaurants with roof top terraces where you can enjoy wonderful food, stunning views and a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere.
The town is extremely well kept with lots of interesting shops. My wife was in shoppers paradise with shops selling very good handbags and shoes.
We had a fairly lazy time on holiday although we did hire a gulet for a lazy day at sea which was wonderful. We also visited Saklikent Gorge which was great fun, if a little cold! We stocked up on local produce at the market on Thursday and we were pleasantly surprised by how varied and interesting the market was. We also visited the beach club in Kalamar which was a lovely way to spend a day.
All in all we had a wonderful time in this lovely resort. The apartment was well stocked and seemed like a home from home. We felt fortunate to have found this apartment as many other people we spoke to who were staying in Kalkan had to have a car as their accommodation was high up in the mountains. We did not need a car, which would have been an extra expense, as the property is ideally located. Furthermore when we did venture out we either used the local bus service which was reliable and cheap or we hired a taxi, which again was reasonably priced. The apartment is situated in a quiet area and I must confess it was all too easy to stay by the pool!
We have booked to return in September 2007.

I stayed at the Kaan apartment in June 2006. It was my first visit to Turkey and I am so pleased I chose to stay in this modern, clean, convinently located apartment. It was very quiet and peaceful and I enjoyed many relaxing hours chilling out by the pool.
In the evening it was a short stroll into town where the dilemma was choosing which restaurant to dine at. There were so may to choose from and I ate at a different one every night and was delighted by the quality of food and the fantastic service.
Kalkan is a lovely resort, very, very pretty and the people are so friendly, they really cannot do enough to ensure you have a wonderful holiday. I have already booked to return in 2007.
You can do as little or as much as you want in Kalkan. A visit to Saklikent gorge is highly recommended as is taking a lazy day at sea on a gulet. So relaxing and the scenery is simply stunning.
I would like to add that the owners, Lorretta and Graham were so helpful and even arranged my transfer, which as I was travelling alone was a god send. I cant wait to go back!

Dear Lorretta & Graham I thought I would write to you both to tell you what a fabulous holiday we had in Kalkan. In fact I can honestly say it was one of the best yet! Your apartment was superb, clean, comfortable, very well equipped and in a great location, just a short stroll to the delightful village and harbour. We were amazed at how many restaurants and shops there were tucked away in the ancient tiny streets leading down to the harbour. It felt a little bit like stepping back in time. Each evening we chose a different place to eat, and every meal was excellent. I could go on and on for hours talking about Kalkan, the scenery, history and hospitality of the locals. We visited the truly spectacular Patara beach and enjoyed some of the finest swimming ever. After a hard day out and about exploring we came home to the apartment for a well deserved dip and relaxation by the pool. Life doesn’t get any tougher than that! Thank you Nanette Geddes.
Dear Lorretta, We had a lovely holiday in Kalkan and your apartment was just perfect. The weather was baking hot in the daytime and pleasantly warm at night. We were lucky to fly back to Manchester bang on time. You didn't forewarn us that the restaurants of Kalkan are generally brilliant - excellent food, service and value! We enjoyed Ibo's most of all - again, just perfect! Thanks for playing your part in the success of our summer holiday. We have many warm and pleasant memories to sustain us through our miserable winter. Neil Theasby
