The first time to Essaouira for our family and hopefully not the last. Salah was friendly and helpful. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The people in the medina were friendly. The best restuarant (although we only went there on the last night!) was Miyami - just by the apartment. Both Essaouira and the apartment are highly recommended. Thank you.

The apartment was nice and clean and in the heart of the medina with wonderful all-round views from the terrace. Especially liked looking down at the spice market and the main street at dusk. The small conservatory on the terrace was great for breakfasts and for sheltering in when it was windy. The manager Salah spoke good English and was really friendly and helpful. Best restaurant was Miyame (just by the apartment) but also enjoyed Sayeed’s place on the main market street, (don’t know the name – you’ll have to ask Salah). Sayeed also spoke English -you’re meant to buy your own food from the market and take it for him to cook – but he’ll buy it for you if you ask – it’s for the locals more than the tourists and is really cheap. You can rent sun-loungers half way along the beach for 25dirham a day. Don’t get ripped off by the hotels (100dirhams). We all had a great time. Highly recommended. Hopefully will return soon.

We rented both the 2nd and 3rd floor flats for the Gnaoua festival. It was great as there were a lot of us and we had plenty of space and could all use the roof terrace. Received maps and info from the owner before we left and he arranged airport transfers - made life much easier (and cheaper). The festival was brill and we were in the thick of it. Essa was heaving. Thankfully we stayed on a few extra days afterwards to enjoy Essa when it was more peaceful. The flat was WOW. Breakfast in the terrace sunlounge was great as it was a bit windy some days. Thanks for a wonderful time.

It was a spacious apartment and easily accommodated 4 people. Beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished. We really enjoyed having access to the sun terrace and towards the end of the week when the wind reached gale force, made full use of the little conservatory. The location of the apartment was great and we loved walking around the medina. There are some brilliant places to eat, one just outside the apartment. Once we laid hands on it (not there to start with) Laurys map, recommendations and other info about the place were invaluable. 15 mins walk to the beach was fine. Slight minuses: Salah was helpful, though not always there, and the tv didnt work properly. Overall, we had a really good time. Thank you.

Well appointed apartment in a very friendly neighbourhood. Spent a lot of time on the roof terrace, especially spectacular view at sunset. Our 10 and 12 year-olds felt very comfortable here.

This has been a tremendously enjoyable and relaxing week for our family - Thank you! We loved the apartment - spacious, clean and comfortable. Especially enjoyed the terrace in the evening looking down over the market. In Essaouira we enjoyed so many things even with children of such differing ages.My personal outstanding memory is the warmth of the locals - who are so cheerful with so little. Highly recommed a day trip to the Berber Market in Hadra - a real eye opener. We shall return!

We went to Essaouira with two 2-year olds at the end of december 2009. We rented the second floor appartment for 6 nights. A nice Moroccan style appartment with lots of space and at a very nice location in the medina close to everything you need including the beach. Smooth pickup by the person of contact at Supratours bus station and when needed offered help and information during our stay.

We spent 10 wonderful days in Essaouira on our honeymoon. Laury (owner) contacted us when we booked and sent us a packet of useful information and answered all our questions. He also arranged airport transfers. All very reassuring. Salah met us on our arrival and took us to the flat. GREAT! Terrace overlooks the spice and grain markets. We just sat up there with a drink and watched the world go by. Sometimes quite windy! Had a private tour with Abdul and a cooking lesson with Fatimah. Went quad biking and horse riding along the beach. All highly recommended - Fatimah doesnt speak English - so a little French is useful. Salah was always there when needed - friendly and helpful (plus good English!). We shall return - Inshallah (God-willing).

The property was very comfortable and the descriptions were very accurate. We both felt very much at home while we were there. The transfer by taxi from Casa was excellent and exactly on time and our intitial meeting with Salah also went extremely well. We invited Fatima to give us an evening cooking lesson and thoroughly enjoyed learning about Moroccan cooking and it was a real pleasure talking with her as well. We would highly recommend this location to anybody....especially from Canada since we were apparently the first Canadians to rent the space. Hope to visit again some time in the future...enshallah

Return visit - I said wed come back and we did! Last time we stayed on the 2nd floor and this time the 3rd floor with terrace. Both flats beautiful and airy. Essa was more crowded being summer but still chilled. Salah and Fatima looked after us whenever needed. Great to have breakfast and dinner on the roof terrace. We were lucky - just a gentle breeze most of the time. We WILL be returning as Essa is a great place to recharge the batteries and just be - rather than always having to do. Thanks for everything.

Really nice central location overlooking the souk allows a realy good sense of the old town and its possible to easily walk anywhere in the medina from this location. The appartment is light and the roof allows excellent sunny views of the medina.

Great flat in quiet street in center of Medina. Really clean with large living space (better than pics) and plenty of windows (from what I saw a rarity in Medina apartments). View from terrace is great - all the town, ocean, and hills. Housekeeper cooked one night - highly recommended. The manager, Salah, spoke good English and gave lots of help when asked for. We went to Hedra market about 30mins - great experience. Also had a cooking lesson (details in the information booklet in flat). Highly recommended - we will be back!!!

We had a great time over christmas and new year 2008. Essaouira is a beautiful little port town with a lot of character and lovely people, I strongly recommend anyone to visit. The villa we stayed in was very comfortable for all 6 of us, close to everything we needed, good value for money and well equipped. Special thanks to Salah on behalf of all of us, in which we wouldnt have had the full experience that Essaouira provided. (including football on the beach). Many thanks and warm regards. Bobby Bradford.

Located in the heart of the medina this appartment is clean and has all the features needed for a relaxing stay in Essaouira. My 3 daughters shared the twin room and my son slept in the lounge. Food was not a problem, with restuarants and fast food outlets nearby. The sun terrace was a good addition and allowed us to spectate on daily moroccon life. The noise of the seagulls gives you that definite seaside feeling but if youre a light sleeper it might keep you from a restfull night.

Fantasic, we had such an amazing time!!(6 art students)the festival was an added bonus. I felt alot safer here than marrakesh! The only disappointment was the powercut for 2 days but we made the most of what we had! the apartment was very spacious and the deco was beautiful. It was also situated in an ideal location, right in the centre!!wed love to return one day!! thanks x

The apartment is really nice - actually it looks better in real than on photos. We loved Morrocan furnishings and decorations. It's very comfortable (beds in particular) and feels like a second home. The view from the terrace is beautiful any time of the day or night, It's right in the centre of old medina so it's easy to walk everywhere and to come back. Salam who looks after it has very good English and whenever we bumped into him as he lives in the neighbourhood he was ready to help us or give us advice. In general people in Essaouira are genuinly friendly and don't expect to get money for it. Essaouira is an excellent place to relax.
