Had a good time, layout and the pools etc were very good. The pools were well cleaned and the gardens very well kept.
Plenty of crockery and cutlery to eat in, the electric BBQ is a good idea which we used several times
Local golf club is fine shame about them losing one of the courses.
Local restaurants limited but plenty to go at in Ayamonte which is a five to ten minute drive away
I would definitely go back

¡Hola!
Loli

We had a fantastic 10 days at this apt. Its an extremely well equipped apt with every home comfort you need for a very relaxing stay. The balcony is wonderful and spacious and gets the sun all day. We enjoyed all our meals and many a sundowner in this part of the apt! The master bedroom is lovely with a fantastic balcony. The 2 other bedrooms are also a good size and very comfortable. We had a 4 yrs old and a baby with us and it worked perfectly for us. Ayamonte, the local town is within a 10mins drive and has some lovely restaurants down near the marina. We also took the small ferry over to Vila Real de Santo Antonio in Portugal - which is a gorgeous old town with lovely architecture - and well worth a day out. Jean and Michael provided information on the local area which was spot on and very helpful. In summary, we loved it here. We relaxed completely, wed highly recommend and wed love to return!

Jean,
Just a thank you for the use of your lovely apartment in Costa Esuri.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and found the apartment relaxing and very comfortable.
The weather was really hot and the air conditioning a must.
It was literally a home from home experience. The weather in August is absolutely scorching, but the cool relaxing apartment was a godsend.
In my opinion your apartment is on a par with, if not better than the luxury villas we have stayed in, in Florida.
The newly opened ‘Jags’ restaurant on the site was very nice and certainly worth a recommendation.
Hope the apartment was left to your liking, just wish we had realised there was a hour difference on traveling back to faro for the flight home, we could have had an extra hour.
Kind Regards , Simon and Family.

We first visited Casa de la Ardilla in May 2009 and we were equally satisfied with our choice this time as we were on our first visit (please see our previous review). Nothing has changed our first impressions and we were grateful that Sue and her husband (from Purple Parrot) were patient and waited for us when our inbound flight was delayed. Thank you very much. We were again very impressed by the attention and hard work the maintence team and grounds staff put into maintaining the complex, it is beautiful and immaculate. This time we were lucky this time to be visiting Spain during the run-up to the World Cup final and thoroughly enjoyed helping the local people to celebrate their teams success. We had a fantastic holiday and have no reservations in recommending Casa de la Ardilla, Costa Esuri, Ayamonte and Costa de la Luz.

Lovely apartment

June 2009: lovely, well maintained apartment in nice, quiet, secure location and just as described. Perfectly situated for pool, which was kept spotlessly clean. Apartment very tasteful, with every amenity you need, and sun on balcony area from late morning until sunset. Ideal also for 2 couples, with 2 separate bathroom and bedroom areas. Golf clubhouse ideal for drinks and reasonably priced meals. Costa Esuri is a very quiet complex with no shopping, and the clubhouse the main activity for evening, but there is a large hypermarket 5 minutes drive and the lovely non touristy town of Ayamonte 10 minutes drive provides shopping and restaurants and a traditional Spanish lifestyle. Several beautiful beaches about 15 minutes drive. If you want a relaxing, unspoiled break in comfortable surroundings, it is ideal and we would recommend it, but you do also need a car for Ayamonte and the beaches. We flew from Faro, Portugal and the directions provided for driving over to Spain were easy to follow and only took about 45 minutes. Easy to go back and forth to Portugal to the more touristy area of Monte Gordo.

Casa Ardilla

Date of Stay: May 2009
We visited Casa Ardilla mid-May 2009 and immediately on arrival we were impressed with the apartment. The owners have obviously spent a great deal of thought and time on the decoration and furnishing of Casa Ardilla and have made it a home-from-home. It was wonderfully clean, comfortable and well maintained. The kitchen was one of the best equipped we have ever found in holiday accommodation. The location was very quiet and the complex was beautifully maintained with boundaries secured by remote control access gates. A car is essential and we found the route from Faro Airport very direct and had no problems reaching Costa Esuri where the representative from the property maintenance agent met us and accompanied to Casa Ardilla. Both the owners and the agency were extremely helpful in responding to all our enquiries and needs from our initial booking and throughout our visit. There are good local facilities for every type of shopping and, all though we are not golfers, we used and were made welcome at the Costa Esuri Golf Club. Ayamonte is a wonderful, unspoiled Spanish town and the local people are truly friendly. A lovely place to wonder through the streets browsing all kinds of shops we no longer have in the our UK town centres. There is a good range of cafes and bars to pass the early evening relaxing over a sangria or a vaso de vino tinto and a good choice of restaurants. The local beaches are stunning, mile upon mile of fine, white sand. We particularly liked Isla Canel and its beach cafes but make no mistake we are going to return and explore further. In finishing, we have to say that without reservation we would recommend Casa Ardilla to anyone planning a holiday on the Costa de la Luz and we look forward to returning there ourselves in the very near future.

The apartment is well furnished, comfortable and clean, and more than met our expectations, we would definitely recommend it to friends.
The complex, gardens and pool area are also very well kept.
The nearest town of Ayamonte and the nearest beach of Isla Canela were both delightful.
The property managers were extremely helpful.

Great apartment. The people from purple parrot were very helpful. You do need a car as the beach & shops are some distance from the property. Nice clean well kept pool and complex.
