The long golden sands of Islantilla beach which has been awarded the EU Blue Flag and the protected natural surroundings are quite different from other touristic areas of the Spanish Coast. The recent urban development has been made taking special care of the eco-system of dunes and pine trees. Islantilla becomes a hive of activity with the local people selling their wares in open markets in the true Spanish style. You can choose to watch them in one of the many superb restaurants and bars in the area. Within a 15 minute drive is the historical border town of Ayamonte with it's cobbled streets, local markets and a diverse range of shops and interesting places to eat. There is a modern marina and even the opportunity to take a short boat trip over to Portugal.

Islantilla is a town under the joint responsibility of Lepe and Isla Christina, in Huelva (Andalucia) on the Costa de la Luz (Coast of Light). This area is a unique and beautiful area of Spain known for its wonderful beaches. It is situated very close to the border with Portugal in an area also known as the Spanish Algarve. Other interesting places to visit are the towns of Lepe, El Rompido, El Portil and of course Seville. A "must try" is the Iberico Ham which is considered to be among the best in Spain. The area has many golf courses and multiple leisure establishments including movie theatres, night bars, water park etc.

The villa is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, a south facing balcony, a barbeque. If you are driving there is a garage with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

Hemos estado un grupo de amigos en la casa. La casa es perfecta para dos familias. Los cuartos son amplios y tiene dos baños completos y un aseo. El salon y la terraza quizas es un poco justa para ocho, pero nada que no se pueda arreglar. La urbanizacion esta muy bien, y tienes la piscina a dos pasos, muy facil aparcar y muy seguro. Para ir al pueblo y a las playas has de coger el coche. El pueblo esta a un paseo andando, aunque no es un camino especialmente bonito. Las mejores playas estan fuera del pueblo. Los propietarios encantadores y te dan mucha confianza, cosa que se agradece. Viven en el pueblo de al lado, por lo que te saben asesorar la estancia y cualquier duda te la resuelven rapido. A very nice property suitable for 2 familes of four. House v well appointed, garage space a big plus as parking can be tricky. Fabulous pool area and beaches galore on your doorstep

A fantastic townhouse in a beautiful location our whole holiday was perfect from start to finish. The owners were very helpful and were there to meet us on arrival (the night Spain won the world cup, so a great atmosphere too!). The property was very well equipped and everything was clean and tidy. The pool was fantastic which was great for the kids as it kept them amused for most of the holiday! The complex itself was stunning and very peaceful there was never any rowdiness the whole time we were there. The walk to the beach is around 15-20 minutes, but this was really pleasant with no steep hills. If you are looking to venture out and see the sights though, a car is definitely needed. The area itself has not been spoilt by mass tourism, and as such is very Spanish, which we really liked. But dont bother coming here if you are looking for fry up breakfasts, with everyone speaking English! All in all a great place to stay which I would recommend to anyone wanting something a bit different from the more well known Spanish costas.

Superb apartment and local area. Quiet area . . . very relaxing holiday. Quite a walk to the beach. Would recommend for a chill out holiday. train from hotel nearby to beach would only allow us on after 7.30 p.m but does operate til late.
