We stayed in Villa Ocaso for two weeks in August. In our group were two families with 5 children aged 3-7. We had a fantastic holiday - children and adults alike. The villa has everything you need and is very well appointed. We experienced a few minor problems but the local rep was always very responsive and whether in hours or out of hours there was always someone to talk to,nothing was ever too much trouble. the local village has everything you need and the beaches are fabulous. Everyone was very friendly and it was lovaly to not be among too many British tourists and feel like you could experience the real portugal (whilst at the same time only being 40 minutes drive from the water parks etc)

Beautiful Villa! We liked the fact it was very private, not overlooked at all. The pool was perfect temperature, and everything was lovely and clean. All very important as we didnt venture far from the villa!. Both Paula and Sue were very helpful and would definately book again next time we go to Portugal.

This is a great villa. Generously proportioned and nicely private and secluded in garden and around pool. The development is just that - developing, and with current economic condition will remain that way for a long time. Therefore the downside is unmade roads which cause some road noise from passing cars and the general unfinsihed feeel but when in the villa and the garden this is just not an issue.

This was our first ever villa rent for our holiday and we were quite apprehensive, but in a word SUPERB – we loved it!! From the moment we landed, car hire at Faro was straight forward and excellent directions from Paula took us to the front door without a hitch (OK, roads on development not good but some UK roads just as bad, hardly an issue if you are careful) Large ground floor living area was wonderful, clean and airy, great kitchen with all equipment needed. Laundry room and second beer fridge – very useful!! Upstairs bedroom and balcony views were fabulous. Many villas in surrounding area (some part built) but we were not overlooked and you actually felt quite secluded when in the garden/pool – totally relaxing. We found the location great too, not too far from Olhao and Faro. Good for day trips. Pool and gardens were lovely . We did find pool quite cool though, ( our visit was late October 2011), I did ask pool maintenance to increase the heating but maybe a little late into the 10 days of our stay and we noticed very little difference. That said, once you’re in the pool having fun you tend not to notice it too much but it would have nice for our 2 teenagers to have had some pool time after 5 o’clock in the afternoon. In all we had no complaints about the villa at all, would highly recommend it and fingers crossed will be on our way back this year! Our thanks to Paula, Steve and their team.

We felt that the villa was good value offering spacious accommodation and a wonderful large pool. Villa Ocaso was well appointed, decently furnished and had attractive and well landscaped gardens. Described as being in " the unspoilt Algarve" it should be noted that the villa is sited on an a development where the builders concerned experienced some financial difficulties which has resulted in a number of unfinished properties nearby being left in varying states of completion. Similarly the road system is in need of some attention, however we were assured that this matter is being addressed and should hopefully be rectified in the very near future. Although potential renters should be aware of these issues they should not be deterred by hem as these properties are not visible once inside the property and should not adversely affect your stay. In contrast, neighbouring properties to the side and rear of the froperty are most attractive having been recently refurbished to a high standard. All this said, I would recommend the villa to friends it is quiet, not overlooked and is generally a marvelous place to relax and recharge there were 8 people in our party and the villa is spacious enough to accommodate us all comfortably whilst also allowing plenty of opportunity for privacy if required . Steve and Paula the villa managers were charming and attentive throughout our stay and even went out out of their way to secure us a rental car at short notice which was greatly appreciated. Overall you will Im sure you will be pleased with the villa. Just one point..... DO rent a car the villa is not remote but there is quite a significant distance to travel for supermarkets etc, all the advice prior to departure advised that this was the case and we somewhat foolishly decided that we would do without, dont make the mistake as we did, you may not be so lucky!

The villa is very spacious and well kept. The pool was a great size and we never venture far from it. Local mangers are helpful and easy to get hold of. I would recommend this villa as it is exactly as it said on the listing. May even book next year.

The villa was excellent, very clean and tidy and very spacious. Air conditioning was very much needed. Hire car is essential to get to local shops, also some clean and tidy local beaches at fuseta, a must to go and visit. We arrived late evening so the food pack arranged by Paula was greatly received. We spent most of the time just relaxing at the villa and enjoying family time. Paula and Steve were just a phone call away if any problems arose, but everything was spot on. The local Bistro just a short walk from the villa was great value for money, good food and very friendly. Overall we had a great time, excellent location and villa and a big thanks to Paula and Steve, I would recommend this to anyone, Thanks.

This villa was excellent, we have just come back from staying 10 days their. The villa had everything you could wish for, we had 4 children with us and they didnt get bored at all, it was also very secure. We were in a party of 10 and it was easy big enough for us all, there is a bistro 10-15mins walk away that was cheap, but nothing else in the area so a car is a must, but the local town isnt far away 10-15mins away. The villa inside had everything to either cook a meal or have a bbq outside, it even had plastic cups and plates to use outside. i would highly recommend this villa to anyone we had a wounderful stay, and we would go back again, thanks paula.

We had a wonderful week at Villa Ocaso and everything was as we were told. The villa has everything you could possibly want and more. The local bistro, which we visited twice, was also very good both in terms of value for money and friendliness. The welcome pack was really good and enabled us to have a nice leisurely lunch on our day of arrival. You really do need a car though as walking anywhere, especially if you have young children, is not really possible. We ventured out a couple of times but mainly we stayed in the villa round the pool as the weather was really lovely. Would definitely recommend this type of holiday if you just want to relax and spend time with the family.

We arrived at the villa at 9pm on a Sunday night to find it lit up and warm with our wine on chill and our food package unpacked. With 4 very hungry children this was a godsend. There was more than enough food for 8 of us for a huge supper and breakfast. Paula visited us the following morning and was extremely friendly and helpful. The villa is huge and very clean, as is the pool and garden. As we were 2 famillies holidaying together this allowed us to have plenty of space and privacy if we needed it. The villa is very well equipt with crockery for both in and outside. There are also more than enough patio furniture and sun loungers. The villa is in an ideal corner plot and it is not overlooked in any direction. Car hire is essential as there are no shops within walking distance but we found this to be a huge positive as we were able to see lots of unspoilt countryside. We would highly recommend this villa to anybody and we are definitely intending to visit it again.

"This is our second visit to the Villa Ocaso . This villa is beautiful and spacious and the very clean large pool was an added bonus! The villa was cleaned thoroughly twice a week, together with the gardens and pool also being well maintained. The Local Agents Paula and Steve, were very helpful and more than willing to help with any queries or questions you may have for them. There are several small but beautiful restaurants within a few miles Marias is a favourate of ours .When staying at the property you certainly need a car but this then enables you to visit some of the lovelybeaches which are all within a 20 minute drive." We are planning to return next year too.

Villa exceeded expectations with plenty of room for 4 adults and 5 children for a fornights stay. The cleaning service was first class. There was plenty of seating, crockery, cutlery together with a huge BBQ area. The villa had everything we needed, it was perfect and great value for money. The villa is in a quiet location which was perfect, however only 5 minutes drive to the motorway putting the whole of the algarve at your fingertips. The furthest journey we took was to Lagos, only 1 hour away, and worth the journey for the spectacular beaches.

I am the one that moaned about the pool cover, saying it was difficult to take off everyday especially by ladies. Paula and Steve the local agents did take on board our comments and i have just learned it is now OK . When i reflected back i realised i forgot to say just how wonderful everything else was, it was a clean, well appointed villa furnished to a high standard. Sitting by the pool in the nicely set out gardens was peaceful and relaxing who can ask for more. Just in case your wandering yes we will be going back !

Being the first time that we have rented a villa, any future rentals will find it difficult to reach these standards. The villa was exceptional in all aspects, exceptionally clean and well equiped, we will certainly return soon. You definately need a car to make the most of the area, the beaches are great and the small restaurants all of a good standard. Thanks to Paula and Steve for providing us with plenty of local knowledge, and making everything run so well.
