The 5 Star location of our large 1 bedroom duplex terraced villa is situated on the beachfront and south
facing, with unsurpassed views of the Mediterranean and the coastline of Africa and Atlas Mountains,
making this one of the best locations on the coast; testimony of which is shown by our repeated
bookings and regular clients. The terrace opens directly onto the gardens and poolside and has a patio with
table, chairs and sun beds for you to relax and enjoy the all day sun; carrying on until dusk when the
sun sets over Africa and the aroma given off by the many plants makes it the ideal place to enjoy an
evening drink and barbecue - the ultimate holiday destination on the Costa Del Sol.
The villa is one of only seven terraced villas situated around the poolside on the small complex
which comprises of only 45 properties in total built about 30 years ago in traditional Andalucian
style. The relaxing gardens and pool area are well maintained and are only accessible by security
gates one of which opens directly on to the sandy beach. The villa also has a large roof solarium with sun loungers for those who like more privacy, and has marble floors and quality furnishings throughout and is equipped to a high standard.
The complex is set in a very quiet area but within easy walking distance to many shops, five large
supermarkets, chemists, medical centres, dentists and vast array of restaurants to suit all tastes.

The beach leading from the gardens is sandy and gets wider as you walk towards Cabopino, which along
with La Cala and Riviera have wide sandy beaches and within walking distance. The walk to La Cala will take about one hour, so why not stop on the way and collect the fresh mussells, which collect in the rock pools. Sun beds, canoeing, banana boat rides, sailing, speedboats, paragliding and water skiing are offered at local
beaches. The local port of Cabopino has a lovely marina, and is only a short walk along the sandy beach, the restaurants are excellent and offer good atmospheres for that alfresco dining
experience.
Five minutes walking brings you to Calahonda centre where there is a lovely old building called El
Zoco, which houses various shops built around open patio gardens with bars and restaurants to suit all
tastes. You will also find located in El Zoco: a medical centre, dentist"!" and an Internet cafe.
Aztec Country Club at Riviera del Sol has mini golf tennis, game zone and kids club, and for the
girls, there is a health and beauty centre offering everything from nail extensions, massage and
seaweed wraps to children's haircuts. Amenities are open all year round.
Costa del Sol Club has tennis available 7 days per week for children and adults, or you can hire a
court in the park area on the complex adjacent to Lunamar.
For the children and the more energetic there are many theme parks in the area: Selwo Marina, Fuengirola
Zoo, Crocodile Park, Sea Life in Benalmadena and 2 Aqua parks - great fun for everyone.
Further afield
Served by the modern international airport at Malaga, the Costa del Sol is renowned for its superb climate. It also has some spectacular scenery with views shifting from lush sugar-cane fields and tropical fruit plantations to rugged mountains, and from beautiful yacht marinas to old whitewashed villages and rich green pine forests and olive groves to the deep blue sea. The area boasts sports facilities unsurpassed in Europe. For the golf enthusiast there are over 35 magnificent courses playable all year round within 30 minutes of the apartment, and there is also everything from equestrian activities, jeep safaris and biking, hot air ballooning. A full choice of water sports is also available from all harbours and some beaches offer windsurfing, canoeing, banana boat rides sailing, speedboats, paragliding and water skiing.
For an interesting day trip, high in the mountains is Mijas, a thriving town from the nine century which still has walls from the old Moorish fort. There are interesting museums, art galleries and rather expensive craft shops, selling gorgeous items by highly respected artists and craftsmen, as well as a lovely walk around the old walls with spectacular views over the surrounding countryside. The town offers a huge variety of places to eat as well as many medieval buildings to admire.
Further afield, there is the Alhambra palace complex in Granada, the old city of Seville, and Gibraltar with its huge gun, cable car (or steps for the energetic) to the top, dolphin safaris in Gibraltar bay and the historic town of Ronda or Benhavis renowned for its good restaurants. The more adventurous might like to drive on to Algeciras and get the ferry across to Tangiers.
