Great property, very easy to find, in a lovely area, loved the spiral staircase. Views from the front room on either side are fantastic. Place to feel instantly at home, didnt want to leave as David & the animals were all so welcoming. Great place to tour from, we managed to do all of the south of ireland & would highly recommend a visit to the burren & a drive along the costal route as well as the drive from avoca up through the wicklow gap. Stunning!! Many thanks again & we hope to return soon :)

Perfect for a relaxing stay in a beautiful part of Ireland. Warmly welcomed by Maria & David. Stunning views from the upstairs lounge. Lots of helpful tourist info at the cottage. Quiet roads, motorway link to Waterford (& almost to Kilkenny) - great for touring. Small supermarket at garage in Knocktopher, close to motorway exit. We had a lovely time and look forward to returning in the future.

An ideal location for sightseeing in the Southern Ireland. There was a local grocery store, pub and post office, making the essentials very convinient to access. There was plenty of tourist information in the house which was helpful. the house was comfortable for our family.

LS,
We were satisfied with the cottage, but I have 2 remarks:
1- The discription of the road to the cottage was not 100% clear and not all local people knew where to find it, so I suggest a clear sign at the road below.
2- The lower floor where the sleepingroom waslocated selled rather dampy, probably due to the heavy rain of the weeks before.
But we really enjoyed our stay there, the view from the cottage was perfect.
Our kind regards to Maria & David

We had a lovely visit and were very welcome by David, Maria and family last October. My girls had a blast playing with the children and never wanted to leave. Definitely child friendly. Perfect center for visiting Waterford and Kilkenny.

The property is alot smaller then we expected as the photo is of the whole house and its the annex we were staying in, but it was enough room for 6 of us to stay comfortably. It was a lovely setting and lovely views and very peaceful. The family greeted us and the kids were lovely and all very friendly. After helping us settle in we were left alone to do as we please. There was plenty of room for the kids to play but we were a bit worried as to what areas were private and what were for general use. It seemed we could use the garden as we wanted. If we had a problem or query we were assisted in a friendly manner like nothing was too much trouble. The only thing that worried us and was a negative was the bannister at the top of the stairs. The bars were quite wide apart and my one year old could easily put his head through. We had to barricade it with cupboard doors left open and bins in the kitchen area and a chair in the lounge area. We also could not take our eyes off him for a second. This certainly didnt stop our enjoyment of our break but thought it worth a mention. Thanks for a lovely time and great hospitality
Owner reply:
The cottage is a totally self contained guesthouse with its own front door and 2-storey self catering accommodation and is attached to the main house, not within it, so 'annexe' we feel is an inaccurate description!
Also, just a little note re the bannisters, it is a shame this was not mentioned to us at the time because, in addition to the stairgate which is permanently fixed at the top of the stairs, there is also available in the property a childproof guard which fixes around the balustrade to cover the bars.

We had a wonderful time, the setting was ideal and as an added bonus we had perfect weather. Kilmaganny is extremely central with great access to Kilkenny, waterford, Carrick on Suir and the South East Coast. We even did Cork in less than 2 hours. However the real bonus for us is that this is such a wonderful place for children, this makes all the difference to a family holiday. David, Maria, Clodagh, Mollie, Kieran and Brendan are perfect hosts and provide a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere to chill out and enjoy!

Very Satisfied with our stay at the White House,Lovely Family,Very freindly and welcoming and helpful in every way,The upstairs living accomodation was very large and Bright, and the views were really lovely.
I was very sorry to have to leave, when the Holiday was over, the only draw back was the need of a car,Ireland is a beautiful place, but you need wheels to get about.
I will definately rate this te White House as a lovely base for a Irish Touring Holiday. And wish Maria David And Family all the very best for the Future. Thanks again for your Hospitality,Lynda Young and Marie Rattigan, from Huddersfield in West Yorkshire.

Very comfortable well maintained property in a fabulous rural setting. We were particularly impressed with the attention to detail and thoughtfulness in making the house suitable for our toddler.
The White House gave us an ideal base for exploring the south east of Ireland.
What really sets this property apart though and has made us eager to book again is the warm welcome we received from the whole family.

The White House is absolutely lovely - it was very clean & cosy and would be perfect for either a couple or a family with children (we travelled with our 18 month old daughter). It is situated in a very secluded location with beautiful views, yet there are a couple of shops and pubs within easy walking distance. The hosts - Dave & Maria gave us the warmest welcome & nothing was too much trouble - what a lovely family. I highly recommend this property - we had a fantastic time & will definately plan another stay sometime in the future.
