Apartment Margarida AL

Completed in 2005, Apartment Margarida is on the top floor and, being south facing, gets the best of the sunshine all day - the apartment is superbly situated on Lagos Marina, only a ten minute walk to Meia Praia beach. The restaurants and bars on the Marina quay side are a five minute stroll away and a further five minutes will take you across the opening bridge into Lagos town centre where there are many more shops, bars and restaurants to choose from. The golf courses at Palmares and Boavista Golf Resort are within five to ten minutes drive and the courses at Penina to the east and Parque da Floresta Golf and Leisure Resort to the west are about 25 minutes drive away.

The apartments are built around a central garden area where there is a large swimming pool, a pool for children and extensive sun terracing with loungers. There is also a playground for children in the near vicinity. Lifts are available to the apartments and 24 hour security is provided.

Apartment Margarida is licensed by Lagos Camara as meeting all requirements of the Alojamento Local (AL) legislation for holiday rental properties.
The living area at Apartment Margarida is well furnished with twin sofas, a coffee table and dining table to seat four. Patio doors lead to a balcony which is furnished for outside dining and overlooks the pool area and to the Marina beyond. The TV is a 32" flat screen receiving BBC 1 & 2, ITV , Channels 3 & 4 and some sky channels and there is also a DVD/CD player provided. Air conditioning is fitted throughout the apartment, providing both cooling and heating, depending on your requirement but making this property a suitable choice for a winter stay.
The kitchen is fully fitted and includes a full electric cooker, fridge freezer, washing machine and microwave. The master bedroom has twin beds and an en suite bathroom with shower over the bath. The second bedroom also has twin beds and both rooms have large wardrobes providing plenty of hanging space. There is a further separate shower room.

A Spa and health club is available at the Marina Club Suite Hotel just a short walk away, payable locally.

The cosmopolitan town of Lagos, which many believe to be the best on the Algarve, is on your doorstep. The Marina dominates the river as it opens into the sea and you can choose activities such as deep sea fishing, a dolphin seafari trip and yacht hire. Lagos is an historic town with some city walls still standing after the earthquake of 1755 and there are several museums and churches worth a visit. This is a working Portuguese town with markets, shops and plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from. The fabulous west coast beaches, where the surfing is renowned, are only 30 minutes drive away and the Monchique hills and the historic old capital of the Algarve, Silves, is an equal distance the other way. As Apartment Margarida is so centrally situated, a car is not essential for your holiday enjoyment but to gain an appreciation of just what the Western Algarve can offer, a car is recommended.
