Brilliant place for a lovely quiet relaxing holiday. Beautiful clean pool. Both grand children were swimming like fishes by the time we left. Deb, the local manager is only a phone call away should you need her. Lovely garden is ideal for relaxing and having an alfresco meal and our grand children found it an excellent place to play and stretch thier imagination.

We have just got back home from a fortnight holiday at this lovely house, with my partner and three boys, ages 6, 14 and 15. Prior to arrival, Angela the owner was so helpful, promptly replying to all my emails. We managed to get lost (note, despite Sat Nav) and in the early hours of the morning Angela did not complain when as a last resort we had to phone her to get directions. Her manager Debs was at hand if we needed anything and she was very helpful too. The house itself is as described we absolutely loved the pool and spent many days just chilling out in and around it. I had been a bit concerned that the older boys might get a bit bored, especially as there is no Wi-Fi at the property, but they didn’t and in fact really enjoyed our most relaxed holiday ever! The house was well equipped. It is not especially spacious inside but the lovely conservatory area made it feel much more so. Aside from the pool the biggest selling point was the garden, It was so lovely, I really enjoyed wandering around always finding something new, the outside eating area was great and the solar lights at night were really pretty. The town itself L’Olleria was not particularly interesting but very functional and has several supermarkets –I really liked the Mercardo. You definitely need a car and there are some nice places to visit nearby, Xativa is a lovely town with a great medieval area and castle. You can also catch the train to Valencia from there which is a must visit. We spent one day (30 euro return for the whole family) but if you wanted to go to the Bio-Parc which is supposed to be amazing or the Aquarium two would do it justice. The seaside is about 40 minutes away by car Gandia has long sandy beaches and nice places to eat. I am sure there is lots more to explore in the area, but to be honest it was very hot and lazy days beside the pool where very appealing, which also as bonus made it one of our cheapest holidays ever! I would highly recommend this property, particularly if you prefer a more authentic Spanish holiday way from the resorts aimed at British tourists!

My children and I have just enjoyed a fortnight at this lovely property. This is someones house, so literally everything is provided, from washing up liquid, bin bags to towels to books, games and DVDS. This made life easy for entertaining the children. However, the real deal maker is the pool. It is a beautiful clean pool set in a what looks like a band new patio. We used the pool several times a day, and sat on an evening watching the sun sink and the enchanting bats swooping low over the pool. The house is set on a quiet hillside, and it incredibly peaceful and relaxing. You must have a car, as you are not within walking distance of anything other than the lovely hills and woods. We went to the beach at Oliva several times, a drive of about 25 minutes. This is a really beautiful beach and not at all crowded. Sea was crystal clear and sand was fine and white. You are also about an hour away from Valencia, which is a must visit. This is a great place to stay if you are happy to be a traveller and not a tourist. If you are willing to plan your own agenda and drive places, and be able to retire at the end of the day to peace and quiet, this villa fits the bill.

My husband and I had our first holiday, minus grown up children, for the first time in years. We were looking for somewhere quiet, private and out of the way of the more commercial areas. This is exactly what we got here! Everything you need is at the villa for home-from-home comfort. The views are fantastic and to sit on the veranda in the evenings, watching the swallows and swifts display (catching the insects that dont get near you!), the rabbits playing in the next field and listening to the occasional bray of the next door donkey(!) was a pure delight....not to mention the stars after dark. And if you are a bit of a twitcher then the sight and sound of the resident Golden Oriole will really make your holiday! As mentioned in the write-up, a car is essential as the villa is about 2.5 miles from town, which has everything you need but is not a bustling metropolis, its proper rural Spain where few speak English, so brushing up on the language basics would be a definite advantage. You would have to travel quite a bit further if you wanted some night life.....which we didnt! We did go for one day out around the traditional old town of Xativa, approx 10 miles away, and that was very pleasant. All in all we cannot rate this property highly enough if you want out of the hustle and bustle and to relax in the beautiful surroundings of the mountains, trees, villa, gardens and pool. Oh, and the added bonus of fresh herbs, fruit and veg on site was great! We didnt want to come home!

A wonderful experience of rural Spanish life without being too far away from shops etc. We had a fantastic holiday and the children spent most of the time in the swimming pool. We were amazed by the villa, the size of the grounds and the spectacular views from the pool. We would definitely book this property again having had a brilliant two weeks away from very hectic lives.

My (older) family of 5 have just returned from a wonderful 12 nights at this lovely property. The house is set within a huge garden which was fabulous - not only was there was a constant supply of fresh fruit, herbs and vegetables (wonderful if you like cooking, like us), but also meant that we could all find our own bit of space. Angela, the owner, has been extemely helpful throughout, providing us with lots of really helpful information, especially about how to arrive at the house. The house is managed by Debbie, who is a great asset she is extremely helpful and is very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. There is so much to do and see around Valenciana, especially if you like history as there are so many castles and medieval villages. However, the bonus for us was that the only only other English accent we heard throughout our holiday was Debbies! We now feel that we have experienced the real Spain, and i would not hesitiate to recommend this property.

We spent a very relaxing 10 days here in August. The house was very homely and comfortable with lots of thoughtful extras provided. Although in a beautiful, secluded spot we certainly didnt feel cut off from the local town, just 5 minutes drive away. LOlleria was a very Spanish town but the local supermarket manager was extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome, inviting us to the local carnival! We would recommend this holiday rental to anyone wanting to experience the Spanish way of life we certainly enjoyed it and were reluctant to leave! Many thanks for the use of your lovely home in the country.

The Villa was fabulous, and was everything we could have asked for. Fantastic views, private and peacful location, but with easy access to local towns and nearby cities etc. The descriptions given on the website are accurate and fair, the villa itself is like a home from home, its spacious, yet has a very cosy feel to it and the surrounding gardens, orchards and pool are also well kept and cared for. Both Angela the Owner and Debs the Manager, couldnt have been more helpful or friendly. It was a pleasure to deal with them both and they really made the experience a pleasant and hassle free. I cant recommend this property highly enough.

We spent a pleasant holiday villa in this very calm and soothing, a true "haven of peace, with all the necessary comforts. Everything was perfect: we have benefited from the pool, made grills, enjoy the fruits and vegetables from the garden .. beautiful walks around the sea finally close ... picturesque region of Spain where life is good. A very warm welcome we have received ... We hope to move from other holidays in this house where we keep a very good memory ...

We booked this villa for a week of relaxation and couldnt have asked for a more idyllic or peaceful place to relax in. The villa came equipped with everything we needed and was spacious and clean. We had no problems during our stay but had the reassurance of Debs on call should we need her. The pool was fantastic, and the view of the mountains - stunning. We made good use of the BBQ and there was nothing like cooking using the wood available around the villa. The patio area was perfect for dining outside in the evening and with the mountain view we often found ourselves lost for words. I would recommend this villa to anyone needing peace and quiet, or indeed to a family as a base for exploring this part of Spain - although a car is essential. Thank you to Debs and Angela for making our visit so care free Esther & Chris

We hadn't visited Spain in February before and were unsure what to expect. The weather was wonderful though, warm and sunny during the day but cold at night. There was a good supply of logs though and the woodburner kept the house lovely and warm. It felt really cosy at night, a real home from home. We took a supply of DVDs with us for the evenings but there was a good supply there as well as books and board games. Obviously we didn't use the pool but did relax in the gardens watching the sun on the mountains - beautiful and went on lots of walks. L'Olleria is a typical Spanish working town and has everything you need including some beautiful churches, lots of friendly Spaniards and an English speaking chemist!!! The town of Bocairent is definitely worth a visit. We had a thoroughly good holiday.

We had a lovely relaxing week and found the house to be well equipped and comfortable. We expected to spend more time travelling and sight seeing but found it hard to tear ourselves away from the pool. There were some nice walks though and the view of the mountains, especially late afternoon is beautiful. The children loved picking the peaches and we loved the lemons for the drinks and salads. The town is about 10 minutes away and has everything you need including 2 large supermarkets and the locals seemed to appreciate our attempt at Spanish, as there is very little English spoken here. The sighting of one of the eagles was a real bonus. We would happily holiday here again. Thankyou, John and Freda.
