It is hard to decide which was the more charming - the rambling farm house or the lovely hosts who were there to greet us and help us settle in?
Barbara and Janez almost outshine their property with their genuine warmth and hospitality. They make you feel like an extremely welcome guest in the beautifully rustic farm house, is filled to the brim with mementos that seem to have been collected over a lifetime. I enjoyed spending spare moments wondering about the memories behind the objects that adorn the walls and the shelves and make the house such a wonderful home.
The house and garden and peaceful and private, you feel like you could be a million miles from anywhere. The local people are very friendly and my 2 young daughters very much enjoyed collecting fresh eggs and milk from the neighbours farm every evening.
I particularly enjoyed the 25 minute drive over the Italian border, down to Trieste for some lovely dinners by the sea and a lot of excellent Gelato!

Thanks we had good time in your place
The location of the house in Krasna Vas was very convinient in terms of knowing the farm life and domestic animals. Uma and Tom enjoy meeting all the animals around including rabbits, cows, birds, chickens...Uma couldnt wait to go feed rabbits every morning and she spent quality time with them:-)
Every morning excatly at 6 am we heard autentic sounds of donkey s or maybe other animal, but it happened so preciselly at 6 am that we agreed that it is electronic alarm>? Do you know if that was real?
The pool was great and unfortunaltelly we only spent there few evenings, since we made busy program for the days we spent there. Evening sett-up around the pool is great!!! So peacefull and quite....The house has his own magic due to its age and the decoration is adding very special taste.
Slovenia is impressivly beautifull and well organize country!

This is a beautifully and sensitively restored property. We loved the house and delightful courtyard garden and were very comfortable it was more spacious than we expected. The owners could not have been more helpful, met us when we arrived and provided many things to make us feel welcome in their home. The village is unspoiled, the countryside beautiful and local people very friendly. We were sorry to leave!
