We have just had a very relaxing stay at Lemon Grass, I was very surprised with this property, it was really more than I had expected and the pictures ARE really accurate, This is a lovely decorated & maintained property and Tuki our housekeeper, was sooo helpful greeted us with a beatiful tasty fruit platter. Nothing was too much for her to arrange or explain.
The setting is wonderful and especially the lovely quiet street, hardly any street traffic, except for the sound of the ice cream man, it was soooo peaceful. It is not close to cafes but after shopping at the big big supermarket, probably only a 15 minute drive by taxi we were organised then to cook etc. Rooms are great, main bathroom was more than big enough. A lovely workable kitchen, bedrooms in main house were great, all had TV & DVDs, lounge a little small but OK for 3 people.The pool was absolutely wonderful, this pool has been positioned soooo well to utiilize as much sun as possible allowing it to warm up. (Other places we have stayed at the pool wasnt warm enough to swim in) one thing I would suggest is being able to watch the World News channel, just to be able to keep in touch with home (Australia). There is also Wifi , so you dont need to find an internet cafe.
It would seem that a lot of thought has been put into this property, it is very tastefully decorated, and I would recommend a stay here

We have just returned from our stay at the Lemongrass Villa in Nusa Dua. I will have to say, that it was a most pleasant experience. Kerry and her staff are amazing - top notch in fact.
Kerry is very professional and responds quickly to requests. Leo, the driver, is extremely polite and pleasant and was willing to work with us for all our airport transport needs. Tuki - amazing! She is just so sweet and we looked forward to seeing her each day. She even assisted with laundry services, motor bike rentals, and recommendations for taxis and food delivery services.
The villa was perfect for a group of 4 adults. Plenty of room and amenities. We utilized the kitchen quite often and the pool daily. The rooms and beds were extremely comfortable. We would definitely recommend this villa to friends and family and look forward to coming back to this magical island and villa in the future.

Thanks for a lovely stay at Lemongrass. Booking was an easy process, Leo met us at the airport (whew - the website wasnt a scam!) and Lemongrass had everything we could possibly need (pool toys, books, dvds, first aid kit, power adapters, the list goes on ...). Our kids (6,8,10yrs) were thrilled to have a pool on the doorstep and not have to hang around waiting for Mum or Dad to go with them to a hotel pool, nor was there a need to comply with hotel pool hours. (Great when youre on a different time zone and are awake at 5am).
Everything in the villa worked well (internet access, a/c). (Note that the 2 bedrooms in the main building are virtually off the lounge and need the doors open to cool from the a/c unit). Once our kids were in bed we retired to the "guest" room with its own TV and a/c. Although the two buildings were only a few steps apart we took a baby monitor with us so we could hear that all was well with the kids during the night.
Tuki happily came and cleaned 6 days a week.
There wasnt a tourist in sight (a pleasant relief from the streets of Kuta).
Mengiat or Gegar beach was a short taxi ride away ($NZ3), and taxis always came within minutes of us calling. Probably a 1/2 hour walk but too hot for us to manage.
It took us about 1/2 hr to get to Kuta/Legian via taxi ($NZ 12) for our market shopping, and we were pleased to escape the tourist crowd on our return.
Leo was extremely reliable and we used him for two day trips (Ubud, monkey forest and Bali Safari Park). He arrived ahead of time and was always waiting in plenty of time at our designated pick up point. Likewise for the airport transfer back - all ran smoothly.
We had Indonesian food delivered nightly for a few $ - sometimes not quite what wed ordered due to our language skills, but always delicious.
The locals were friendly and we felt safe at Lemongrass.
We chose Lemongrass because we wanted cooking facilities for our fussy little eaters. The best things though were having our own pool right where we could keep an eye on the kids while cooking, (or still in bed, etc), having plenty of space to spread out (plenty of outdoor space for beach/pool gear behind a locked gate), and being away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta/Legian, yet not in the artificial 5 star hotel region of Nusa Dua.
Try it, you wont be disappointed.

A lovely little villa tucked right in Bali. The villa was well looked after, in good repair and the staff were lovely and welcoming. The villa had everything you would need, and then some. A lot of thought had been put into what would be helpful to visitors to Bali. The villa is a taxi ride or long walk to the beach, but the benefits of being right in the Bali community far outweighed not being stones throw from the beach (and taxi rides are cheap!). If you take the time to chat to the locals around you they are lovely and welcoming.
I am so relieved I stayed here instead of a hotel complex!

Fantastic holiday, the villa was excellent, easy to get anywhere by taxi including the beach though you could walk if you felt like it. Transportation is very cheap so didnt bother. Had some great days out with Leo too. Ideal location for couples or families. I will definately be going back sometime

Our stay at Lemongrass Villa Nusa Dua was a delight...peacefull and restfull.
Comfort and quality throughout and the seperate fully contained 2nd bedroom was great for visitors staying overnight.
Great resteraunts...one phone call and the resteraunt of your choice sent transport to and from the villa...so all could enjoy a drink or two.
Friendly locals everywhere always with that Balinese smile that melts your heart.
We didnt need a car as all was only a $3-$5 AUD taxi fare away, beach,shopping art markets etc..
To get into Kuta or Seminyak was very affordable..but didnt need to as Nusa Dua has all we needed. For our day tours to Ubud we relaxed in Leos 4WD as he drove us everywhere we wanted Echo Beach, Lovina
etc..you will meet himat the airport.
Thankyou for a beautifull stay away from busy resorts and hotel..we really felt at home....I guess we were...
Our next holiday in Bali willbe at Lemongrass Villa...
