We had a fantastic holiday in Luz in this villa. It was very comfortable, well equipped and the pool was amazing, we had it to ourselves most of the time. The walk into town is about 10 minutes - uphill on the way back. Would definitely stay here again.

We consider ourselves lucky to have stayed at such a wonderful place , comfortable lounge and bedrooms and fully equipped throughout, with a spacious balcony with a spectacular sea view.
The swimming pool was great and a swim before breakfast made for a great start to the day. Pria de Luz has excellent beaches and everything is kept clean tidy.
We look forward to returning to Pria and rate it 10/10

Well what can we say !!!!
We have a girls holiday every May and this was by far the best.
The villa was superb and to top it all although there were 6 villas, the week we were there no-one else was so we felt like the girls from sex in the city with our own pool and glorious views.
Although very close to the restaurants and bars we only ventured out 2 nights as we loved it so much we just lazed around the pool all day then ate our dinner on the terrace.
Baptsite supermarket is a must as you can pay for your shopping at the till and they will then deliver to your door free of charge, as although quite close we didnt fancy carry all our wine up the hill !!!!
Kitchen was well equipped.
We initially had a problem with the hot water when we arrived but on calling to report this we had the management guy at the door within 10 mins - alas it was simple - gas bottle had run out , but we are women lol
We used the sofa bed in the lounge which was easy to use and not a problem having to pull out each night, and comfortable too.
We arranged our transfer from the airport with a guy called Vidal who the owner very kindly gave us his number and we would highly recommend.
Fantastic villa fantastic place and we had a wonderful time and didnt want to return home.

My husband Pete and I joined friends for a week at this beautiful apartment. It is one of the best holidays we have had. Apartment is really homely and was perfect for our relaxing week by the fab pool. Praia Da Luz is just lovely with a large selec tion of restaurants and a fab promenade. The local bus was great, once we worked out the timetable, and we had a couple of trips out to Lagos with fantastic Marina (once again spolit for choice with restaurants) and Bargou (spelling?) is just lovely with almost a cornish feel to it. The only problem was the walk up the hill from the town back to the apartment but to be fair I am not that fit. Brilliant!

What a little gem, beautiful house, tastefully decorated and furnished.Having read some of the comments before we went I have to say there isnt anything that I would change about the house, its lay out or contents all of it was spot on.
Perfect location to explore the Algarve or to just laze by the pool. The pool was an absolute hit with all of us.
The beaches are also near and are of an excellent quality. Overall loved this holiday home and surrounding area, would definately recommend to anyone. I only wish I had booked 2 weeks instead of one!

We thoroughly enjoyed a week at the villa. There were six of us, my husband and I, our 2 children and my parents. We thought the villa was very well equiped, with all the home comforts you would need. Dishwasher, washing machine etc. The pool was a wonderful size, which the children literally spent hours in. Although shared, mostly they had it to themselves and when a couple of neighbours were around, they were very friendly. We thought Luz was a lovely town, we enjoyed a meal out every night and the kids enjoyed the beach and the watersports. The locals were very friendly. We didnt really venture much further, as we felt we had all we needed for a well deserved relaxing holiday. The only slight pain, was taking the sofa bed up and down each night, due to 6 of us being in the villa. However, we were fully aware before we booked, so no complaints whatsoever. We would be very tempted to return and possibly for longer, so that we explore surrounding areas a little more. We enjoyed a very peaceful holiday and thought the villa was a real home from home.

Just back from a week at chex and had a great time with my wife and 2.5 year old daughter. Villa is very well equiped, dishwasher, washing machine etc and even granite work tops. Shares a large pool with 5 other properties but we had it all to ourselves all week, great for an afternoon swim each day.
Luz is very nice, lots of new ish villas that are well coordinated without looking live victorian terraces. No highrise. Great beach but we usually drove to Bergau (10 mins) as the beach is quieter and the beach bar is great.
Villa downsides, quite near the road into town so not silent and the villas have nice terraces but they are next to each other - best described as like being on a boat moored side by side others in a marina. But as we were the only ones there it was fine.
The second bedroom is seperated from the villa by a courtyard. Not an issue as it is very secure but better for slightly older children. This also leads out onto the pool area and has the patio on top.
Worth also mentioning that Lorna made the villa very welcoming, just like you were borrowing from a friend. Buckets and spades etc about and family photos on the wall. Really making the differece with going direct, can recommend.

Being that we were two single ladies there was a great difference between the master bedroom and the 2nd bedroom. it was dark cold and dimley lit, change the colour and the furniture, paint the doors white, cos i had that room where as my friend enjoyed coral coloured lamps with matching cushions.dressing table with hairdryer ect.bathroom with bath and bide,i called it the bunker,il do it all for you it would make such a difference, its a lovely 2nd home though.
Owner reply:
I have spoken to this lady with regard to this review and they had a lovely holiday. The 2nd bedroom is the 2nd bedroom and obviously is not as big as the master nor is the bathroom. As seen on the photographs it is not dark. It has shutters to keep out the sun but when they are opened the room is flooded with light and sun! We think it is a lovely room but will now put in a hairdryer and a stronger lightbulb as we value this ladys comments. L

Had a very enjoyable stay in this property in May 2009. Townhouse extremely well equipped and pool was excellent. Only 10 minute walk to the lovely village of Praia da Luz but the walk back up the hill is not for the faint hearted! Only downside is that the 2nd bedroom is an annexe off the townhouse. Overall a very good property for a relaxing holiday.
Owner reply:
I agree that the 2nd bedroom is off the main house (this is clearly stated on the details) but this is a good thing as both bedroom suites are totally independant. They both have their own independant access to the main house and are both totally private. This also means that each party can go to bed or get up without disturbing the other. Glad they thought house was well equipped as we put a lot of effort in providing everything for a relaxing holiday and not being petty like some places that we ourselves have rented!

Lovely winter break. The house was lovely and warm using the heaters provided. The area was quiet but Lagos is only 5 mins away if you want more. We didnt just walked and enjoyed. Thanks

Just what we needed, a pleasant break from the English winter. The views and the walks, especially from Luz to Burgau, were exhilerating. Great choice of local restaurants, all were great value too. We can't wait to go back.

We had a fantastic holiday in Luz. The accommadation was extremely comfortable with great views and plenty of room on the terraces to enjoy the sunshine and a glass of wine! The golf was excellent with so much choice locally. Boa Vista was our favourite and would recommend the course to all your guests. Thanks for a great holiday.
