Kalkan villa rental

9-1-2009 12:46 PM August 2009. A fabulous and very comfortable 2 weeks spent in Villa Incantata. A very well equipped villa in all areas with stunning garden, terraces and pool. I cannot fault this villa and found Carole more than helpful in ensuring we had a wonderful stay in Kalkan. Parents and teenagers happy - a rare thing! Amanda H., Wiltshire

6-30-2011 09:51 AM Villa Incantata is a dream house. The Villa has 5 terraces, and we practically lived on them when we were there. The house is beautifully furnished with a stocked, large kitchen. It is very clean and contains interesting art from the area and around the world. The villa is surrounded by flowering gardens on all sides, with a pool large enough for some laps. We could have just stayed in the villa day after day and really enjoyed ourselves. The views from the villa of the surrounding hills, Kalkan, and the bay that leads to the sea are the best views we have had in any European villa we have rented. The area, however, is also interesting. Kalkan has excellent restaurants most outdoors. We had superb meals in town based on Caroles recommendations in the informative materials on the area that she has in the villa. In addition, we were able to have breakfast, small meals, and even a dinner at the villa because it was easy to find good local food to prepare. We recommend both the gulet ride and the jeep safari to the ruins, carpet cooperative, gorge, and beach both days are full, but fun and highly informative. We were there with two of our grown sons (20 and 30), both of whom thought it was one of the best places we have stayed. Karen V., DC

8-3-2011 04:57 PM We had a lovely holiday in Kalkan and Villa Incantata. It is a beautifully furnished, highly comfortable place to spend the week. Our three kids had a ball in the pool and we felt little inclination to stray far as we had everything we needed at the villa. The views from the many seating areas are stunning. Many an evening we sat and watched the lights of Kalkan below us. I would recommend a car for anyone visiting as it is a steep climb out of Kalkan with groceries! Ahmet keeps the spacious garden and pool area neat and tidy. He is quiet and very much in background, not wanting to intrude. He is happy to help in anyway he can and always asked if everything was okay. I would not hesitate to recommend Villa Incantata to anyone. It is holiday accommodation of the highest standard. This was our first trip to Kalkan. We loved it! And Villa Incantata is much more beautiful and spacious than the photos suggest – we were quite surprised by its size. All the terraces were put to good use day and night. We particularly enjoyed returning to the villa from town as it is so much cooler on the hillside. We had a breeze almost every evening. A truly stunning villa. We had stayed in Kalkan before but this villa was by far the most outstanding. It is obvious how much care and thought have been put into making this villa comfortable and relaxing. It has every convenience. We have now arrived back in London after a wonderful 2 weeks in Kalkan. We had a brilliant time, the villa was wonderful, it was an extremely relaxing place to be and Ahmet was charming and very helpful.

We did most things on your suggested on 'days out' and had a lovely day on the boat. All went well apart from on Thursday after our son and daughter had gone scuba diving, they unfortunately came to the surface too quickly and both had to go on a drip over night (at the villa) but all is OK - the doctors at the medical centre were very good.

Anyway - thank you again for all your help in making our holiday so enjoyable.

My stay at Carole and Don's Villa Incantata, was by far, the best vacation property I have experienced. There were only two of us, but this 4 story unit could have entertained a nice sized party easily. The maid and gardener were both pleasant and thorough. The well kept pool was my favorite area, and the multi-tiered lanscaped gardens were a beautiful surrounding to rest in. This property is gorgeous, and actually it's built on three lots. Flooring and decking inside and out are covered with quality tile. As well, the ornamental tile found in the bathrooms from the floor to the top of each wall, was very well done. Very good taste and planning were used in designing this property. The oversized tub with Jacuzzi was very relaxing, and probably my second favorite spot. The people in the village of Kalkan are simply nice and friendly. The few tourists I found there in June, came to relax, and so did we. You must take one of the day boats on the bay while there. If you are lucky, maybe Carole will take you up to a fish house in the cool forest above the bay. You will find her character easy to befriend, as well as the neighbors in this hillside paradise. The view is breathtaking, on each of the many terraces at this property. All in all, my two week stay hovered in the perfect zone. I'm going back.

Our family of 6 from California rented Carole and Don's home in the summer of 2005. We stayed for one week in Kalkan. We enjoyed every aspect of their home. It is by far the loveliest home, with great attention to detail. The balconies were our favorite spot. One off the kitchen as Carole suggested for breakfast, the other off the dining area for dinner, the highest balcony for sunset or a romantic drink under the moonlight. On the back deck our daughters loved the pool and ping pong table. They also loved staying in their suite downstairs. The living room and dining room were decorated lovely with touches of Carole's lives in different countries. The beds and sheets make you feel as though you are transported to a special place for your vacation. A stay at this home is like a piece of heaven!!!
