If you like staying in a lovely small town with the locals, in a well-equiped and beautifully decorated private hide-away? if you like reading a book on a swingbed with a warm summerbreeze, watch the stars on the rooftop, having long warm summer candlelit evenings on a mandarin tree? If you like to cook at home and sometimes like to have real greek meal in a small local restaurand (just around the corner)? If you like to explore the island, go for a swim in the sea..... Stay at the Mandarin House and you wont regret it. We loved it!

We had a wonderful time in this beautifully restored, traditional house, decorated and furnished with a loving eye. Perfect location, close to all the major sights and beaches and still tucked away in a traditional village you think of when you dream about being in Greece.
Most wonderful owners, ensuring that your stay is just perfect. Can only highly recommend.

Beautiful house, wonderful people! Gudrun did much more than we could expect in an easy, friendly way. Our stay with them (we felt like welcome guests in a house of our own) was perfect. The house is nothing less than a work of art. Every detail and every inch of every surface exudes love and care. If you do rent this amazing example of Greek craftsmanship, perfectionism and good taste please take care of it, were coming back...

A delightful house. It is very well decorated, homely and peaceful. The kitchen is well equipped so we were able to enjoy some nights in cooking and making use of the BBQ. We had a very relaxing time at the house indeed.
The village is also very nice. It is quiet but the locals are friendly. It is a welcome contrast to the buzz of Faliraki. However, for those who wish to dance the night away, the town is only a short drive away. The same goes for Rhodes town, where there are many restaurants and bars to choose from.
The location of Mandarin House makes it an ideal place to stay if you want to explore the island. Gudrun, the owner, is very helpful and easily contactable.

This stone village house has been beautifully renovated and is set in a small side street, we did not find it noisy. The local people were very helpful and friendly and we liked being in a village setting. We loved the small cobbled courtyard with the mandarin tree which was totally private and a lovely place to sit.
The village was convenient for visits to Rhodes town and for various beaches but a car is really necessary. It is not possible to take the car up to the property and this must be left at the parking available near the church which was just a short distance to the house of course not having cars passing on the narrow streets surrounding the property is a real bonus.
We would happily return to Rhodes and to this house and would recommend it for an away from the crowds place but within a community.

The property was lovely - quirky, beautifully renovated, comfortably furnished and the facilities - crockery, linens, outdoor furniture and fittings - were all plentiful and of a high standard. We arrived late at night to find the house lit with candles and fairy lights and a bottle of wine in the fridge!
We liked the swinging bed on the terrace, and the two beds up on the roof. The traditional pebble floors throughout the ground floor are beautifully done.
We liked being in a street in a small town with local people as neighbours. Koskinou is small and friendly and was very safe for our two 15 year old girls, who fitted right in with a group of local young people.
Overall, a fantastic house which we would love to return to.

beautiful house and lots of welcoming details, like fruit and flowers. We didnt realise how steep the stairs would be, however. This was a bit of a drawback for 2 people who are verging on "infirm".

the property was beautifully finished and presented. it was more than we expected , the photos on the website do not do it justice, it is even more amazing in the flesh.
we loved the small town of Koskinou, even though it was at the very end of the season we still found a few lovely places to eat in the evenings and one in particular was excellent.
the owner Gundrun was very responsive to any queries or questions we had and she did not in any way impose on our stay but we knew she was there if we needed her, which in our opinion is perfect.
we would certainly recommend the house to friends and family as it was so lovely and great value for money. if we do stay again then we will certainly bring friends so we can share the experience.
the attention to detail made the house feel very welcoming and not in any way just a holiday home. the house had everything you would possibly need for your stay.
all in all a very high standard of accommodation especially the swinging bed on the terrace.

The Mandarin House in Koskinou is feeling at ease. In this house and surrounding you actually live your life the way you want to live: relaxation, comfort (even in detail), ancient in a modern style, luxury in a sufficient way, light and bright, inside & outside living, variety etc.
We definitely come back to this house and recommend it to everybody who wants to feel at home in Rhodos.

A very laid back place, 10Min drive to both, the next beaches and the city of Rhodes. In the middle of the old part of a pretty lively village - more locals than tourists there. No direct traffic allowed arround the house (just mind : also YOUR car is not allowed to enter "your" street).
The House itself is tastefully decorated, all equipments/installations are high standart and a lot of smart ideas (washingmaschine buid-in outside, full-cover moskitoptotection, the hanging bed, etc) shows that the owners put a lot of thoughts and heart into this project. dinnerware, bedcovers and towels are more then enough. A wonderfull stay.
Strongly recommended for couples and groups of close friends. Partly recommended for families (a spacious house, but limited space for kids to play) - only elder and disabled may not enjoy all benefits of this beautifull house due to its sometimes pretty steep, stairs.

when we came in this house we were flabbergasted!! so nice and so taken care of, into every detail. the lighting the beds outside, the quiet neighborhood, and friendly people. we loved it that it was a traditional village with the beautiful stonebuilt houses painted with lime. restaurant Yiannis was great!! and the rest of the places as well in Koskinou. The last 2 days we had booked somewhere else but we really didnt want to go. i had to cry the evening before and didnt want to pack my suitcases. then the owner called that the next renter was coming 2 days later. it was like some kind of present from heaven. we couldnt believe our luck. we are looking now when we can book again next year, and maybe even with Christmas. happy stays in this house. love Jacoby

my god, this was the most beautiful house i have ever had a holiday in and maybe that i have ever seen in my life. this mykonos style house, but still cosy traditional atmosphere made me feel at home instantly. all the terraces on different levels. the hanging bed at the next terrace and then the lounger on the balcony and on top of it all the 2 sleeping beds on the roof terrace were excellent. we got a big shock when we got there, we didnt expect it to be sooo nice. and the owner, gudrun, was very helpful and friendly. all in all, this romantic, stylish and above all, well priced house made our whole love life be reborn again. and we got to see the other houses that the owner rents, and they are very beautiful as well. well be back soon. nikos

It was the nicest houses were ever we been.
Important, for the next time, is to tell that the house is in the middle of the village and near the church,
so it is not so silence when people this want.
We spend much time in this house.
It is very good for relaxing time, to read, to sleep, for comfortable cooking and spend your time in the nice insideyard(?).
It is very lovable restore!!!
We think with pleasure back.
