This was our 2nd visit to Villa Gulay and it is still very nice but i think it needs a little bit of maienteance doing to the properties i.e. most of the interior doors c reak and squeak the front door is very hard to lock from the outside took us ages to work it out.It would have been agreat help if there were proper instructions in the cottages on how to work the TVS and the Washing Machine finally the swimming pool as nice as it is has no shallow end for non swimmers or young children to splash about and play in needs ther water level to be lowered .We were 4 adults and eat out and stayed out,but not everyone wants to do that .Please dont be put off by my comments we had agreat time, and since our las visit the area has grown and facilities for eating out etc have improved would recommend The Kisali which is nearby and also the Istanbul and also Muzzys Place excellent food and good value in the village Gemali Beach is worth a visit but take some swim shoes getting in the sea is a bit tricky, also visit Olau Denize for a great day out,use the Dolmus cheap and reliable great beach all in all we had a great time and would recommend the properties Ahmed and his wife are most welcoming and help in any way they can

Thank you so much for a fantastic holiday. I had some lovely experiences and the boat trip yesterday was the climax of the fortnight. The food is absolutely amazing and we dined like kings during our stay. Buying local honey and a visit to Fethiye market is a must. The Kaya Valley is beautiful and I am looking forward to a return vacation again next year.

First impressions was better than the James Villa Brochure let you believe. Very peaceful and relaxing and the "farm animal" noises were all to add to the charm of the Villa.
There are 7 of us and having two Villas to share is a very good idea. The men can watch the odd game of football on one TV and the children can watch kids tv on the other.
The pool was the main source of entertainment and gave hours of enjoyment.
Ahmed, the owner is very helpful giving tips on local attractions and his wife tended the gardens every morning.
A very good holiday for all of us. Thank you Turkey.

Having never been to Turkey we had no idea what to expect - we wanted to go outside of the Eurozone because of the exchange rates and we really came across Villa Gulay by chance.
The area the village is in is stunning, rural but near enough to the resorts. The local people we met were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The local beach is excellent, the food was simple and excellent.
The villa itself is very homely, is private and has stunning views - especially from the balcony where you can gaze across the valley at dusk and listen to the cicadas. The gardens have apricot, lime and cherry trees which made for fresh breakfasts and great gin and tonics. The area around the villa is a farm and there were plenty of animals. Our 3 young kids loved the pool and meeting the local children.
The agent, Clare and the owners Ahmet & Gulay where fantastic hosts and really looked after us.
We will definitely be returning to the Kaya Valley and Villa Gulay.
