If you wish to get away from the tourists this is the place. A secluded little gem, set in its own organic farm we were hardly disterbed by a soul except for all the friendly animals. During the day the restaruant gets a healthy visit a clientel and serves great, fresh local food. As it is so secluded I thought not having a car would be a problem but because everyone who works there is so friendly we were able to move from town to town fairly easily. Also the availability of the lift was very easy to use, being free to come and go as you please. The bungalow was just perfect for the two of us with great views, cooking facilities and dinning area outside.
We will definatly go back.

Faja dos Padres is a unique location, set up on a patch of land down a 250 m cliff - the only access is by a panoramic elevator or by sea.
The bungalow is set up among banana, mangoes and avocadoes plantations(grown organically). There are only about 10 accomodations for rent, apart from each other, all nicely furnished and decorated. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is there. Note that the bungalow is the smallest of all and does not have a see view from the terrasse- however, its perfect for 2 people and great value for money - you have a little terrasse to take your meals outside and enjoy the sun, but also access to a big garden, with many flowers and an amazing sea view (perfect for a BBQ watching the sun set!)- and you are only 2 minutes away from the black sand beach or a big sun deck on the sea!
We received a very warm welcome and had the most relaxing 5 days ever, due to the secluded location, the setting, the easy access to the sea, and the warmth of the people.
There is a small restaurant open from 10 AM till 6 PM every day, serving excellent food, very fresh and tasty.
We are already planning our next visit there!
