Beachside 2 bedroom duplex townhouse

Located in a community called Rocas del Mar on Riviera Playa in Mijas Costa, our house is only a few meters from the sea and set in a secure complex with security gates and night lights to give peace of mind & tranquility during your stay here. There are 2 swimming pools plus a baby pool, tennis court, beautifully kept gardens and a lovely circular bar/restaurant that has live music at least once a week in the summer season.
The house has a double bedroom, a large singles bedroom (both with ample fitted wardrobe space) a great bathroom with walk-in power-shower and a curved balcony accessed thro either bedroom.
On the ground floor is a lounge, dining area, fully fitted kitchen with all modern appliances, and a cloakroom with WC and wash basin.
Thro sliding glass doors, from the lounge or dining area, you can access a large private sun terrace. There is a brick-built Bar-B-Q and patio furniture/sunbeds.
A small gate leads out to a pathway to the upper swimming pool.

The Garden Bar is situated barely 20 meters from the sea
and over the years we have found few places that can match the romantic setting for a leisurely drink or evening meal accompanied by such wonderful sunsets.
Weekly, there is a large communal Bar-B-Q with live music usually on Tuesday evenings, plus on Sunday afternoons you can enjoy a traditional roast lunch & be entertained by another live musician.
Just outside the complex is a bus stop in the direction of La Cala & Fuengirola. La Cala ha an open-air market on Weds and Saturdays plus has an international array of restaurants that would suit most tastes. It has a wonderful beach interspersed with a range of Chiringitos (beach bars) There is an old look-out tower that has been converted to a museum and there are great areas for kids to play.
A little inland from La Cala is the famous hipodromo-a horse racing track/arena where, in the height of the summer, races begin at 10pm at night!
In all honesty, a car really is not necessary when you stay at Rocas del Mar - go out by bus - return by Taxi. Its so much cheaper than hiring a car AND you will so much more of the area!
Just a few mins walk from Rocas there are many bars, restaurants, buffets, supermarkets and shops, plus Taxis.
One of the most up & coming places on the coast, the Oceano Hotel, is just 200 meters to the east - a fantastic venue for an anniversary or birthday treat and well worth a visit-if only to sit on the boarded exterior terrace for a lunch or drink - the water right under your feet!
Puerto banus, still one of the Jet-Set capitals of Europe, is definitely worth a visit - by day to marvel at the boats, yachts and cars, at night to see the famous Beautiful People and dance until early breakfast!

The house is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a west facing patio area, a west facing balcony, sea views, a barbeque, a tennis court. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.
