A truly spectacular setting for a getaway holiday (nestled in a tiny village in its own valley with abbey ruins a small church and a smaller pub) and an excellent jumping-off point for walking and cycling. The accommodation is spacious with all modern conveniences (dishwasher etc...) in a converted stables with all the beams and brick still retained. Each room effectively has its own ensuite and the lounge and dining area are relaxing with plenty of room. The owners are very friendly and run the nearby pub which is a bonus at the end of the day. Great value.

We enjoyed our time at Happy unio n Stables when we went at Easter this year. It was very good value for money and was a good base for exploring the surrounding area.

Myself the wife and the five kids all loved the week we spent at the stables. The only thing better than the great views and the wonderful stables is the great and friendly people of the village who all made us welcome in the local pub. We can not thank John and Karen enough for a great week. THANKS FROM THE WRIGHTS

The best place we have ever stayed !!!!! We stayed at this cottage so that our daughter could attend Pony Club camp locally. It is set in a picturesque little village and the cottage itself far exceeded our expectations. It is finished to a very high standard with outstanding facilities, we couldnt believe it when even dishwasher tablets were provided. The owners are very kind and helpful, and showed us around upon arrival. It was a very nice touch to find fresh flowers on the table along with a Bara Brith, butter, and even milk in the fridge. The pub is next door but very quiet and although I didnt get a chance to visit, my husband spent a couple of pleasurable evenings there. Our 2 daughters didnt want to leave, definitely plan to go again.

This property was the best of the 6 self catering properties we stayed in within the U.K. It was spacious and yet cosy, and contained everything we needed . What really made it the best was attention to detail, and the added thoughts of fresh flowers, and a delicious loaf of Bara-brith. We thoroughly recommend this cottage as a perfect home for a relaxing and restful holiday. Well done!!

A gem of a property in a wonderful location. Ideal for a relaxing break with lots to do in the surrounding area. Lots of local walks and great for bike-riding. The stables were lovely - everything we needed (except for a bath!). Lovely and warm too. Would certainly recommend this property and area for anyone looking for a relaxing break or a base for a more active holiday.
