Residence Borgo Alto is a beautifully restored convent in the hills above Salo on the western shore of Lake Garda, Italy.

The residence is finished to a superb standard, and has a shared swimming pool (shared by the private owners within the building), breathtaking views of Lake Garda and is set in some of the most unspoiled countryside of Lake Garda. You would never believe you are just 5-10 minutes drive from the hustle and bustle of lakeside life, so tranquil and green is this area.

Our Apartment

Borgo Alto is a small building, which used to be a convent, now converted into a small and exclusive private complex. All the apartments are privately owned. Our apartment is on the top floor.

The apartment has a living area with incorporated kitchen and dining area, and windows (the original round windows of the old convent) with lake views. The main bedroom has a double bed, the second bedroom has twin beds and there is a shower room with washing machine. The apartment has been beautifully finished, with good quality fixtures and fittings.

The kitchen has an electric hob and oven, fridge and plenty of cupboard space, and the dining area seats four very comfortably.

On the ground floor, near the entrance, is our lock-up cellar which we use to store garden furniture, pool toys etc. Outside is a communal swimming pool with sunbathing area. There are families with children owing some of the other apartments, so children will be very welcome in the summer. There is private, gated parking.

In all, Borgo Alto provides really lovely accommodation for those seeking a quiet, relaxing self-catering holiday on Lake Garda with beautiful views, swimming pool and unspoiled nature.

Essential Information

The nearest village (with grocery store and a few restaurants) is 1km. You definitely need a car for this property.

We provide bathroom towels and bed linen, but youll need to bring swimming pool towels with you.

The apartment sleeps a maximum of four people plus baby (we can provide a travel cot).

Salò is a truly beautiful, typically picturesque Lake Garda lakeside town, and is only about a 10 minute drive from the apartment.

The swimming pool is open from May 20 - 30 September

The apartment is in a very quiet area. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a south facing garden, panoramic views, interesting views. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.
