Castillio Nuevo is an absolutely fabulous Villa which I cannot recommend highly enough. It exceeded our expectations in every way.
Although it was far too big for our party of 4 it did mean that we could enjoy lots of space without getting under each others feet. There are more TVs than you can shake a stick at so we managed to keep up with the Jubilee celebrations (albeit in very nice weather)
Alan the owner lives next door and is totally charming and helpful . He also owns one of the nearby bar /restaurants which proved a great place to meet people.
One truly does not need a car at this villa as there are two bars and four or five restaurants within a 2 minute walk aswell as a small supermarket. We used a driver to pick us up from the airport and dro p us off. this had the added benefit of him knowing the owner and giving us a quick tour of the town of La Cala which is only a 10-20 min walk to its full range of facilities.
Beach and very classy beach clubs 5 mins walk away all highly recommended.
We will definitely return.

A truly outstanding property in a fantastic location - a short walk to the beach, bars and shops, and only a short drive to good quality local golf courses.
The property is tastefully furnished and very spacious, which was very important given there were 9 of us staying ! The property easily met our expectations, and i would recommend the property to other people.
Alan & Claire were both very friendly and helpful, and the small issues that did arise were quickly sorted.

We were a group of 8 ages ranging from 3years to 55 years and we all enjoyed the property. the location is great and you definately do not need a car as there are numerous bars etc. nearby. My only observation is the area around the pool which is limited for groups of 8 people and the sun beds have seen better days. Apart from that it is well worth a visit.
Owner reply:
Dear David
Thank you for your review.
I am glad you had a good time and wanted to thank you for your feedback.
Alan the owner has assured me that in October all the sunbeds will be replaced. They are actually not that old but due to the close proximity to the beach, the sea air, chlorine and hot sun takes its toll on them. As there is also a big garden the lighter weight sun beds can be taken there to sunbathe, and therefore having lots of space to sunbathe.
Thank you again
Kindest regards
Bettina

Unfortunately, have only just got round to writing this after a fantastic time at the villa last year!
The villa was all we hoped it might be and were more than happy to spend quite a few of the evenings staying in and enjoying the facilities it had to offer, from al fresco dining to the table tennis, to the wonderfully light up pool which the children loved late evening.
The music room was great and was a meet-up point for us to have cocktails before we ate.
The surrounding area was great to soak up the local culture and they were really helpful and friendly, some fantastic local food shops and the beach was great.
On the evenings that we felt that we would like to do something special, the villas owners were more than helpful with some great suggestions of places to eat.
All I can say is a big thank you to them both for their great villa and most welcoming attitude.

We had an excellent time staying at the villa. Joan, the landlady was so friendly and had the place looking great before we arrived. The villa itself was just exquisite, just like all the wonderful villas featured on TV.
The nearest restaurant was literally two minutes away. So was the tennis court. Everything we needed was provided, including tennis rackets and ping pong bats.
It was a joy sitting on the veranda for breakfast and then just a few steps down dived into the pool. What a great place, really miss the pool.
The kitchen was fully stocked, unlike some villas we have rented when there are only bare essentials. We cooked a couple of times in the kitchen and there are 9 of us but there were ample pots and pans to cook with.
The fridge was large and spacious. The most welcomed feature was the ice maker which dispenses ice in cubes and crushed. This was used almost non stop.
As usual, the kitchen is the centre of attention. It was great moving from kitchen, veranda, pool. Sheer bliss.
Parking was also very good, we hire two cars and park just outside the villa, plenty of space.
The location is just perfect. The villas is just of the main road serving Malaga to Gibraltar and onto Tarifa. A couple of minutes off a turning, up a slope and yet it was so quite.
Great views, five to ten minutes walk to beach, or a minutes drive down the slope to the beach.
Cant thank Joan enough for letting us the villa. We have a fantastic time and hope to be back.
Best wishes to Joan and Allan.

The property was stunning with everything you could need. The location was excellent as you have a very good shop and a lovely beach within a few minutes walk. This makes it easy to pop to the beach and back again. The town of la Cala is just a short walk away and has some nice restaurants, beach and childrens play areas.
The villa has a fabulous social kitchen and there are lots of different living areas to spread out in (even a bar area!). The pool and views are lovely. The area is quite and peaceful but close to bigger towns should you want to vist them. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful and ensured we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Would love to go back again!
