What can I say about just how idyllic this place is without sounding
over the top? The photos, lovely as they are, dont actually do justice
to the reality. We wanted an away from it all holiday, comfort, able to
look after ourselves, but with the luxury of wifi so we could keep in
touch (and gloat) to friends worldwide, totally private pool, top end
patio and terrace furniture and bbq.The views from the terrace patio
are wonderful, the layout and set up of the villa was totally to my
taste, and my husband was mesmerised by the wood burning stove as the evenings got a little chillier. He is now a complete expert in building
and maintaining wood fires. Handy skill to have back in the UK and
smokeless zone Sunderland...The location is exactly what you want if
your preference is for beautiful scenery, little rustic villages and
towns, local tapas bars and restaurants. On our last evening we drove a few kilometres to a local restaurant/hotel and had a fabulour meal with wine, beers, wonderful service, for less than £40. On another night our villa owners Ginny and Terry treated us to a goat curry which even beat my sister-in-laws. Sorry Amanda. All in all this is the perfect
location for anyone who wants to get out of the rat race for a weekend
or a month, savour rural Spain, and feel luxuriously pampered in a
green environment. Solar panels, a natural spring dating from Roman
times at the end of the track, (choice of four waters but Id avoid the
iron one) friendly people, cheery dogs Lottie and Josh making you feel
wanted. We were a little bit scared by the steep driveway on the day we arrived - by the second day we were tackling it with no problems and a definite joi de vivre in our rented Fiat 500. If a car that small can
make it, it shouldnt have been any surprise that the log wagon managed it no problem. Ill recommend this to lots of friends - had a
marvellous break.

Great Place for Recharging the Batteries
We stayed in Cuesta Vinas from 5th - 12th May 2012 and it was great. The accomodation is rustic and charming, Ginny and Terry are great hosts and very helpful and the accomodation is really charming and rustic. The views are fantastic and, whilst you are in a quiet spot it is easy to get to places of interest or walks ( not that we did much of the latter ! ). It is an ideal place for two to relax and enjoy the locale, we would thoroughly recomend it.

Truly fantastic in every way, quite simply outstanding location, very peacefull yet not too remote. Ginny & Terry were the perfect hosts very friendly in every way. The prices are very reasonable indeed for such a brilliant property, it exceded all my expectations.
I booked this as a special holiday with a difference for our ruby wedding anniversary and do not for one moment think I could have done any better thing.
The views are stunning during the daytime ant the stars at night WOW.
The village is quaint with good bars and food available, also many other beautifull villages close by.
I will return without a doubt.
Thanks Ginny & Terry for all your hard work creating this little paradise.

We spend a very relaxing week in this lovely cottage with a stunning view over the mountains. We very much enjoyed the garden with all the vegetables and the almond trees. The village (Válor) is within walking distance and we had some nice tapas there. The cottage had everything we needed. The owners are very friendly and helpfull. Make sure you have a car with enough power to get up the steep hill towards the property. We didnt and had some good work-outs climbing up -)
A holiday never to forget.

Excellent property, perfect for a couple seeking to get escape from the stresses of modern life. Wonderful uninterrupted views of a beautiful part of Spain a world away from the Costas but within easy access of the coast. Property is really well equipped, private areas including the pool which is set above the property, provide really tranquil relaxing spaces. The owners (Ginny & Terry) V helpful, even encouraged us to help ourselves to the various veg, herbs and fruit growing in their terraced gardens. Full marks!

One word to describe Cuesta Vinas - Perfection. My partner and I visited for a week in August and Cuesta Vinas completely exceeded our expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and reached our objective which was to relax. Cuesta Vinas is remote but not remote enough for you to feel cut off although a vehicle is essential. Peace and tranquility are a permanent fixture.
The owners, a smashing couple, couldnt have been more welcoming, pizza night will be fresh in our memory for a long time to come!
The property runs on solar panels and home grown food is available for you to pick yourself offering a self sufficient way of life.
The description on the website is completely accurate, if anything the place is being undersold. Great value for money. We cant recommend this place highly enough. If you are looking for relaxation then this is the place for you.

WOW on every level! Stunning location, fantastic villa which was very well equiped, and friendly owners.
Exploring the area was an incredible experience. We have come back feeling totally relaxed and revived.
The only disappointment was that we only booked for one week! We could have stayed a month!
Will definately be booking again! Highly recommended.

If you want to get away from our modern society, just try Questas Vinas...
Laying in your private pool overlooking the majestic mountains during the day, at night a million stars over your head...
It was fabulous. Yes indead, we did have to take a step back from all we are used to but at the same time this was the same step in finding personal peace/rest within ourselves.
Ginny & Terry will try (and in our case managed) to fulfill all our whishes.
FANTASTIC GETAWAY

This was my first visit to Cuesta Vinas and it exceeded all expectations. Not only is the cottage extremely well kitted out - with a generous open-plan design - but with two patios with views to the surrounding mountains and your own swimming pool, it is an amazing place to relax and soak up the peace and quiet. It is probably one of the quietest places I have slept in a long time. The cottage is not overlooked and in a beautiful location. I was most reluctant to leave! It is, however, also well suited for visiting many of the villages in the Alpujarras. I felt it was great value for money, and a very comfortable and tranquil place. I would recommend anyone to go and intend on returning as soon as I can.
