Family villa with private plunge pool

The villa was built in 2009 and has been finished to a high standard offering truly comfortable and spacious accommodation. The villa is fully air-conditioned with cooling/heating units throughout. Hot water is provided by solar panels with electric back-up. The property is enhanced by cool granite tiled floors, high ceilings, spacious airy rooms and a marble staircase. All windows and doors are fitted with flyscreens. The focus of the traditional stone terrace is the lovely 4 metre plunge pool around which there is space for both relaxing and al fresco dining. The villa is situated in the traditional Greek village of Eresos. It is located in a quiet no-through road on the edge of the village but only a 10 minute walk away from the village square. There is space for parking adjacent to the villa.

Outside
The villa has a traditional stone terrace in which there is a private plunge pool, 4.5m long and 2.75m wide. The pool has a shallow end of 1.08 metres and a deep end of 1.62 metres. There is also an outside shower. The pool is unheated. The terrace is equipped with dining table and chairs and 4 sunloungers. There are also chairs and a table on the first floor balcony. The utility room is accessed from the terrace.

Local Area
The villa is 3.5km from the beach, a 5 minute drive or a 30 minute walk. The 2.5km long, sandy beach at Skala Eresou, is considered to be the best beach on the island.There are sunloungers and umbrellas for hire on the beach and water sports and windsurfing are available. However, for those preferring it a short walk along the beach will enable them to sunbathe and swim away from it all. Skala Eresou itself is a safe and lively beach resort with numerous restaurants, bars and shops, Eresos offers traditional Greek life at its best. The focal point is the village square around which there are 3 restaurants, a bank, post office and a range of shops. It is possible to buy all your provisions in the village as there is a butcher, two bakeries, a number of greengrocers and several mini-markets. Many of the shops stock the excellent local cheeses, olive oil and Ouzo. The bulk of the greengrocers produce is locally grown, so the range of produce may be less extensive than back home, but it is decidedly fresher. Locally caught fish is available daily. In the main season there is a small gift shop.
The village has a pharmacy, a dentist and a doctor. The pharmacy is situated adjacent to the village square for most of the year but in the main season this shop closes and the pharmacist moves to premises in Skala Eresou. Whereas basic healthcare is available locally more comprehensive medical facilities are available 24/7 in Antissa, which is 12km from Eresos. The main hospital in Mytilene has a full range of diagnostic and treatment services.
There is a public phone booth situated in the village square but the mobile phone signal on the island is very good. In addition a number of the restaurants and bars around the square offer free wi fi.

The villa is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has a private swimming pool, a patio area, a balcony. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.
