The Apartment

Our little bit of paradise is located in the Las Violetas area of Villamartin and just across the street from the Villamartin Plaza. Our home is on the 1st floor and features a private solarium for all of you sun-worshipers. The community is completely gated for your security and also private parking. While you are on holiday there are tonnes of activities here to do for families and all.

For entertainment the Plaza has many bars and restaurants to please anyone. In the summer the Spanish bar has games and rides for all small children. For the golfer, wow... Villamartin golf course is just next door and not far away is Campoamor golf course and many others also! About a five minutes drive is La Zenia beach and several others close by. Torrevieja is close by also with many things to go and do, go-karting and the Aquapolis is just a start! There are many markets in the area also and little villages to visit. What more could you want in a holiday. We love our home and hope you will also.

As with all In The Sun Holiday homes a small welcome pack of coffee, tea, milk and water is included as well as a bottle of Spains CAVA on ice for your arrival.

Area Information
The Costa Blanca, meaning the white coast, is on the south east coast of Spain and is a very popular destination for holidaymakers.

Torrevieja, one of the fastest growing towns in Europe, is situated in the South Costa Blanca and offers all the facilities and amenities you need to make your holiday enjoyable. The town has a newly constructed sea front, beautiful beaches and also boasts purpose built safe areas for swimmers manned by lifeguards trained in first aid.

There is a superb range of shops in the town, which will suit most tastes from bargains to designer labels, the choice is yours. Walking around the town you will be spoilt for choice on where to eat out, as every type of cuisine is available and all at great prices.

If you are up for a night out dancing there are plenty of clubs and bars to choose from which stay open long into the night and some into the early morning. However, if you have come away for a quiet and restful time there are stunning beaches up and down the whole of the Costa Blanca.

Torrevieja is a modern and vibrant town which caters for every age and different type of holiday whether its rest, nightlife or adventure its all at hand to make your holiday unforgettable

Beach Life
All the local beaches are blue flag, the closet being La Zenia under 10 minutes in the car or a bit further away there are miles of sandy beaches at Guardamar.
Loads of water sports at Mar Menor a 20 drive away you can also experience the healing salt waters and mud baths.
Orihuela is just a 20mins drive inland through the orange and lemon groves and is a historical town unspoilt by tourism with churches ( visit the Semana Santa museum) and museums a plenty you can even ring the bell at the local convent and purchase pastries and jams from the local nuns. Beware here that siesta is observed and everything shuts down for the afternoon.

Bars and Restaurants
The choice of bars and restaurants in the Torrevieja area is absolutely endless, one thing you must try whilst in Spain is the traditional Spanish Tapas. These small dishes can be found on most streets in the area and are ideal if you are not that hungry but could do with a snack .

There are restaurants and dishes from every corner of the world so if you fancy Indian ,Chinese or even Brazilian – the choice is yours.
Another tradition in Spain is the “ menu del dia “ or menu of the day, which usually consists of a starter, main course and dessert with a beverage, the price of these will vary depending on what is on offer but are still great value, and perfect for the hungrier person who is not in a rush. If you have a sweet tooth, there are also plenty of ice cream parlours.

Bars in the region also serve a wide range of wines and ales from all corners of the globe. However, if you want to try local beverages all bars serve San Miguel, Alhambra (Spanish Beers) and a enormous selection of good Spanish wines like Riojas and Tempranillos...and a jug of sangria is a a must.


Shopping
The Torrevieja area as a superb variety of shops ranging from top designer clothing to street markets that have the most amazing fruit, vegetables and bargain clothing.

On the edge of the town there is Habeneras which is a modern shopping centre where you can get those much needed creams and sunglasses for the beach. If you are on a budget, cheaper versions are on sale at the large market that Torrevieja holds every Friday. If you cant wait until Friday there is a smaller daily market on the sea front, which has some wonderful stalls for you to browse.

If shopping is not your thing but need to get various vital provisions there are also Hypermarkets such as Carrefour which sell absolutely everything under one roof, so beach time is not compromised.

The apartment is in a very quiet area. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a north facing garden, a south facing patio area, a south facing balcony, sea views, panoramic views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.
