  • Suitable for pets ( Yes, pets are allowed in the apartment. The only proviso is that the pets are not to be let off their leash outside the apartment. One can walk the dog to and from the apartment whilst inside the complex and in the garden area, but only on a leash. All excrement must be retrieved by the owner. Dogs are not permitted on the beaches. )
  • Suitable for wheelchairs ( The lifts allow transport to all apartments, although the apartments are not specifically designed for wheelchair users ie no specially designed showers etc. The apartments have no internal doorsteps but access to the balconies is over an aluminium doorstep or via outside steps - no ramps. )

  • Second floor apartments have roof terraces, either south, east or north facing. Some of the apartments have mountain views as well as views to the ocean. Some are ground floor apartments with park area directly down from the terrace. Those on the first and second floors are accessible by elevators as well as from the staircase. Most of the apartments are south facing, some are east and some are north facing. The beach is directly in front of the complex. All 2-bedroom apartments have a sofa bed (double). There is normally access to the internet via neighbouring wireless connection, although ADSL is not installed in the actual rental apartments.

The apartment is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a east facing garden, a south facing patio area, a south facing balcony, sea views, panoramic views, interesting views. If you are driving there is private parking and a garage with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

Our holiday was for a large group of us. Seven adults and eight children, aged 20 months to 13 years. Alcalablau was perfect. Totally secure, near to the supermarket and ice cream bar ( Which serves the largest gin and tonics i have ever seen!), without the pressure of lots of shops for children to need to visit. The pool area and gardens were immaculate and the larger shallow pool means that you can take your eyes off the children for at least a few minutes at a time. The apartments are, clean, cool and very very well equipped. Having the beach just over the road is great. It means that if you fancy a dip in the sea without the sandy beach and all the mess it has to offer, its perfect. I have already recomended to our friends and, in a way, would love to keep it a secret, for our future use only!!. Bite the bullet, book a stay and enjoy.

We booked very last minute so weren't sure what to expect. Correspondence with owner prior to trip really useful. Just an hour from Valencia airport. Apartment fabulous! Was there with three children (14, 12 and 10) and were concerned would be too small and enough to do but they didn't compain of boredom once and we were outside so much of the time that we didn't notice that size of the flat at all. Clean, modern, well equiped and the wahing machine was a godsend. Local area fantastic for family holiday - great beaches, splendid pool, wonderful food - especially good if you like seafood, long long walks down the coast and a truly Spanish, family orientated resort. Hope to return next year.

The property is excellent and fully conform to the description made in the web site. The welcome by the owner was excellent. The beach is just in front and the swiming pool is wonderfull and so big that you always feel that you are alone. Shops around are good and there are several restaurants available. Really we enjoyed our stay there.

Lovely views of the pool and beach. A very relaxed, "easy-going" setting. Very good, approachable, managemant sevice. We had a lovely holiday and a good rest. A very pleasant, unspoilt part of Spain.

The apartment was spacious, air-conditioned and spotless, really well equipped and very comfortable. The complex is excellent too - very quiet (at times only 4/5 around the pool; never more than 30); The pool was great for older and younger kids and the ground surrounding it well maintained. The beaches were lovely too and only a couple of minutes walk. The location of Alcalablau meant that you really wanted a car if you wanted to get about the resort (40-minute walk to the Marina); The resort was superb, mind you we do prefer a quieter location with traditional Spanish food and living - food and local wine was excellent and great value. If your after night-clubs and bars go further south. A great place I would recommend to anyone.

We had a wonderful time in Alcossebre. The tiny village was a revelation for us... beautiful sandy beaches, not one single skyscraper, helpful and friendly people everywhere, especially the waiters. And the apartment was superb. Cleaned when we arrived, keys ready to be collected, information left out for our perusal. In short just a wonderful time ... the weather was great too!
