We had the most peaceful and relaxing holiday during the first 2 weeks in September, enjoying the warm sunshine in a fantastic location. The property is first class throughout, clean and fresh and Ginny and Terry are excellent hosts. There was ample crockery, cutlery etc, fresh towels and with TV, Wii, DVD etc, there is plenty of things to keep everyone entetrained throughout. We have rented out many properties in different countries over the years, but this is by far the best we have ever come across. Just to add to this, the outside is excellent too with ample area to relax around the pool and the views are stunning.
If you want a holiday that offers peace and tranquility, little to no other tourists and you want to get to know the real Spain, then this is the place for you. We spent time enjoying the various walks in the surrounding areas, exploring the villages and relaxing around the pool. Highly recommended and huge thanks to Ginny and Terry.

Our hosts, Ginny and Terry were very helpful before our arrival and were on hand to greet us. The drive from Almeria airport was straightforward and we were amazed how good the roads were albeit a bit winding in places!
The rear of the cottage backs onto the hillside which helps keep it cool whilst remaining bright and airy. Its comfortably appointed being obviously recently refurnished and the WiFi and SKY were a great bonus.
Most of the time we spent either on the terrace by the pool or under the canopy over the front door for easy access to the fridge in the kitchen. Pretty much the only sounds we heard were the birds, and I enjoyed watching the bats swooping around at dusk.
Valor itself has limited eating out for full meals, but we enjoyed several evenings at The Azahara which offered a good variety of tapas, washed down with several beers.
You notice how much off the tourist track you are by how little English is spoken in the shops and bars.
We hope successive visitors enjoy their stays as much as we did. If its peace and tranquillity you’re after, you’ll be hard pressed to do better.
Best Wishes,
Richard, Lesley and Caitlin

This is a gorgeous villa, stylish inside and beautifully maintained with all equipment and facilities. The pool is great with amazing mountain views. We visited with our three children and all had a wonderful time, the kids loved the pool and we drove to the coast and also to visit the Alhambra in Granada which was well worth it.
The owners are fantastically helpful and gave us lots of good advice and suggestions whilst not getting in our way at all - the perfect combination. This would be a good base for walking, the mountains and nature are amazing. It is very quiet and off the tourist map which we adored but be aware that you need a car and the mountain roads are very winding- not good if you get car sick! Lots of great tapas bars locally which we enjoyed sampling, run by genuinely lovely, charming people. Nobody speaks English so take a phrase book!
I saw a review saying it is not good for children - I personally wouldnt agree, our children (ages 3 - 13) loved it and we had a fantastic family bonding time, leaping around the pool. Thoroughly recommended for parental relaxing!

This property is located with superb views across mountains up to 15 miles away. The location is very quiet and peaceful. My wife and I have used villas for about 8 years and this is by far the best we have stayed in. There is nothing in the villa which can be considered as missing. The villa has ceiling fans in both bedrooms and the living room as well as air-cond in the living area. The ensuite bthroom has a lovely jacuzzi which is a must try. The kitchen has everything in abundance electrically and the crockery and cutlery, saucepans etc provide everything you would need. I think the villa is situated in a position where it is really more suitable for adults as you have apart from pool, which is lovely and has steps into it not a ladder, no facilities nearby and I could imagine children getting a bit bored. So for the adults this is a real gem. You have to have a car as Valor is 2 - 3 Km away and its severley hilly, so it will be about 30 minutes walking both ways. We have never considered returning to villas we have stayed in before but we are very keen to return next year.

This house offered everything we could wish for, the location is stunning and the house itself is beautifully furnished and extremely well equipped. The kids loved the pool area and we especially enjoyed the bedroom terrace which proved an amazing sun-trap in March!!

We spent February here to get away from the winter weather in England and were not disappointed. The accommodation was excellent, clean and well furnished with a log-burning stove to keep us cozy in the evenings. Outside it was always possible to find sonewhere sheltered to sit in the sun. The area itself was beautiful, the scenery stunning with lots of good walking. There are plenty of restaurants/bars/ supermarkets in Valor and surrounding villages.
