stayed here at the start of November 2011, we had lovely weather, nice quiet area, and the complex is very secure,about 10 min walk to shops and pubs, and 15 min walk to beach(lovely beach with big waves). Sandra, the caretaker met us at airport and came to our rescue on a few occasions and showed us good places to eat out etc.She is a very nice and friendly lady. On the plus side the private garden at the apartment was a real bonus and the bed was very comfortable but on the down side I found the apartment a bit dusty and tired. We were staying for only a few days and overall it was a good place for a base. We found it good value for money.

Excellent villa in a nice quiet area. Close enough to the shops, bars and restaurants. (About a 10 min stroll) .Everything you need is in the Villa and is all well maintained. .Would recommend and will visit again, Thanks very much for allowing us to stay at your villa for two extra days until Gatwick was reopened after heavy snow , at no extra cost, most appreciated. .

spent a week in roasting sunshine and stayed in this lovely home from home property.
Had everything it said it did and much more like books,games, childrens (and adults) toys for the beach, loungers etc. Plus very useful extras inside like spices, salt, pepper, tea, coffee, washing powder, cleaning material etc! - everything thought of.
Very roomy and lovely and quite, garden great size and gets the sun and the canopy keeps the sun away from the patio area nicely.
Walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants and beach as it says. we tried la zenia and quieter one round the corner towards cabo riog (2mins walk round) it was lovely too.
there was also high chair (booster) travel cot and sterliser if needed.
We also got airport transfer with car seat for little one and bed guard which was provided for the week - gave me great peace of mind - thanks!
Would recommend it and would use again, if i had to say anything negative it would be that there was the occasional smell from the drains especially in the bathroom - but not all the time, and it wouldnt put me off going back.
Nice also to know Joe was on the end of the phone and closeby if you needed anything.
Overall lovely family holiday! Nicely surprised by how warm even in September - no cardigans ever needed.

Excellent apartment in a nice quiet area.Close enough to the shops , bars and restaurants. ( About a 10 min stroll another 5 mins to the beach ) .Everything you need is in the apartment and is all well maintained.Would recommend and will visit again myself.

We enjoyed our stay immensely, the apartment was great. We rented a car from the airport as there was little difference in the price compared to a transfer I would say that a car is not essential for your stay but it gave us great flexibility enabling us to travel around the area at will. There are some beautiful places to visit.
Everything you could wish for is within 10 minutes walk there are lots of restaurants and pubs close by but not close enough to interfere with your stay we were there over the New Year and went out on New Years Eve and celebrated the coming of 2009.
I would recommend this to anyone without hesitation and I would return to it in a flash if I ever return to the area.

Been staying in this apartment for years with my parents. This time, my partner and I went on our own. He liked it as much as me and my family and we will go again when the baby is born. We were well looked after and the apartment was, as always, first-class. Everything is provided. We enjoyed chilling out in the garden and round the pool.

We had a lovely holiday.Like the changes you have made to the apartment and the children thoroughly enjoyed the pool. We found it nice and relaxing as being, on a small secure complex we could give the children a bit more freedom. Everything was spot on.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Wished it had been for longer, we so enjoyed the sun and the garden is so private and well looked after. Nice and quiet complex but not far from a good selection of bars and restarants. Will definitely be going back

Thoroughly enjoyed the break - couldn't believe how wonderful the weather was in January - nice to escape the cold winter for a few days. Enjoyed relaxing in the garden which is so tranquil and pretty.

Really enjoyable - booked again for next October. Recommended it to my brother in law as this really is a great place to stay. The apartment is very home from home and the owners have provided everything possible to make it comfortable and homely and not just a basic holiday place like so many self catering places. Just to let you know we had a great holiday again. The apartment was fine as always.
On the morning we come home we woke up to a bad thunder storm. We had breakfast and started on our way to the airport only to find that the N332 was closed it was knee high deep in water. We then contacted Joe and he gave us instructions on using the AP7 motorway. We just made it to the airport we were the last ones to check-in. The flight was very bumpy on the way home but we all got home safe. Could you please contact Joe for us and say a big thank-you if it wasn't for him we would have missed our flight.
Thanks again for another great holiday.

Have stayed here many times now, and enjoyed it just as much this time. Definitely booking again for next year. The location is perfect and suits all the family and it's nice to have a private garden with BBQ and outdoor furniture where we can just relax. Good location with easy access to shops, restaurants and supermarkets. Great pool - had it to ourselves most of the time. Really nice complex and everyone very friendly and helpful. Owner and management agents on the ball and very helpful. Gorgeous beach. Apartment is very well equipped and nicely furnished and the garden is a delight.

Enjoyed our holiday immensely. Very nice complex with lovely pool, where we spent most of our days. The apartment and garden is well looked after. We have stayed in a few self catering places and most of them are pretty basic, but the owners have put a lot of thought into this one and it was very comfortable, more like home from home. We hope to return next year.

This property was recommended to me by a previous guest who had stayed there several times. I had seen photos of the property in addtion to the website, but they didn't do the apartment justice. This was my first time to Spain and again, we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful beaches which are kept spotlessly clean. This location was perfect what we wanted in a quiet spot but within walking distance of beach, bars and restaurants. We really did have a good time and have already recommended it to friends. As soon as we get the opportunity we will definitely be going back. Thank you to everyone for their help which all contributed to a great break.

We had a really good holiday and the children had a smashing time spending most of their time in the pool which was never crowded and a lot of the time we had it to ourselves. We had a pleasant surprise when we were shown to the apartment as its one of the nicest we have stayed in and is well looked after, we couldn't fault it. We were well looked after from the time we made our first enquiry right through to the end of our holiday so our thanks to everyone.

We have spent a few very happy holidays in this apartment. Great. Many thanks to the Management Team for looking after us. The apartment is well looked after and it's obvious the owners have gone to a lot of troubble to make sure their guests are comfortable. Nice place. Well equipped. Big advantage - private garden. Big disadvantage - instead of 500m from the beach as mentioned on the web, it is located 1500m. It's not really walking distant, especially if you go with kids.

I am curious as to where you have seen 500m from the beach.
On Villarenters we have stated "less than 15 minutes drive". On our own website, we have referred to "a 20 minute stroll".
Apologies if you were misled, but like I said there is nowhere we have stated 500m. In one of your email you mentioned crossing the main road. As I stated at the time, you should have been going underneath the road so I can only assume you were going to an alternative beach, further away, or you were going an extremely long way round to the local beach. However, as you said, the main thing was that you had a good holiday.

Excellent - it was within easy reach of shops bars and eating places, nice and peaceful and the pool area was very clean and a lovely place to be. The apartment we stayed in had a garden which is pretty and secluded very private great for barbecue's.

The apartment provided everything we could want and is well cared for by the owners and the people who look after it for them. It is great to be able to chill out in the garden and the complex pool is very nice and both pool and pool area are well maintained. We all had a really fantastic time - lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. Nice that the apartment is in a quiet location and then having a few minutes walk to the livelier area where the bars and restaurants are. The sandy beach is brilliant especially as we have three children. We had a really good day out at Terra Mitica which the children enjoyed, and we did too. Definitely recommend this apartment and we will definitely be going again.

Another super holiday at this apartment. The children loved it in the pool and on the beach and in the sea. We found some really nice places to eat and everyone was very helpful and friendly. Stayed in this apartment twice before and had a really nice surprise when we got there this time as the owners had made some alterations - it is really good to be able to step through the patio into the garden. Although it was November, we were really lucky with the weather and able to dine outside for breakfast and lunch. This apartment is on a well kept complex. The location is good - nice and quiet, yet only a short walk to the beach, shops, bars, restaurants. There are several good golf courses nearby, so an ideal location for everyone really. Will definitely be booking again.

Lovely apartment, just like home from home with some nice touches like the cross stitch pictures and curtain poles matching the furniture. Apartment is in a nice quiet spot but there are plenty of bars and restaurants a short walk away. We spent a lovely afternoon in the town of Torrevieja and also enjoyed visiting the local market. Everybody was really friendly especially Joe and Val who look after the apartment. We all had a wonderful relaxing holiday and lovely weather. Hope to return next year.

Have been here lots of times and enjoyed this time just as much as all the other times. Have already booked to go again. It's a nice apartment and the area suits us well as its so conveniently located. The owners take a great pride in their apartment and its well looked after. It is a bonus to have your own private garden and it is a typical Mediterranean garden and great for having a BBQ.

Of all the places we have visited, we come back time and time again to this lovely little apartment. The private garden is nice to sit in and the owners have thought of everything both inside and outside the apartment. The people who look after the complex do an excellent job and the pool and the communal areas are always nice and clean. It is a small complex and nice and quiet yet close enough to a good selection of bars, restaurants and public transport. La Zenia is in an ideal location for those who can tear themselves away and go off exploring further afield. La Zenia itself has a lot to offer with it s gorgeous sandy beach, the Orihuela Resort close by and some nice places to eat and drink. Looking forward to our return visit.

This property provided everything needed for a great relaxing holiday. The lounge is spacious and the kitchen is very well equipped, containing a washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, hob and masses of cupboard space. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the air conditioning kept the internal environment very pleasant. Outside there is a private garden with a large canopy covering the table and a large BBQ; this garden area is a real bonus and was well used during our stay, The apartment is situated in a very quiet complex and this made the stay even more relaxing. We certainly hope to return to the apartment again in the not too distant future.

We have been coming here since 2003 and this was our fifth holiday here and as usual everything was great. Already booked for later on this year in October and also for 2007. Impossible to have a bad holiday here. There are many restaurants to choose from locally and many of them excellent value for money and the complex has a great swimming pool which our daughters thoroughly enjoy.

We stayed here last year, and thoroughly enjoyed it. We enjoyed it so much we rebooked to go twice in 2006. Our two children, Lara and Mia now refer to it as "our house in Spain". The apartment is very comfortable and really does feel like "home from home". Looking forward to going back in October.

My son and I rented this apartment for a week. Although the weather was not too kind, the apartment was. It was the extras that made such a difference. Cool box, deck chairs, picnic ware (even though we only managed to use then once). Read most of the magazines and a couple of books. Also the private garden was superb. We even managed a barbecue on one of the good days.
It was close to shops and beach (not that my son enjoys walking),but we did walk to the beach one day, took us about 15-20 mins. The book left in the apartment was also very informative, would have been nice to have directions to all the markets not just a couple. Alan was there to open the apartment for us and show us were everything was, didnt see him again until we left.
Would just like to mention to anyone flying to San Javier and renting a car, get in the line for the car first before collecting your baggage, took us 2 and a half hours in the line for our car.
My family and I will definitely be back next year, I wouldnt go anywhere else unless this place was booked. Once again thanks.

This was our second stay at Amapolas - wonderful holiday and as usual, well looked after by the Management Team. Lovely apartment and super complex and pool. The location is perfect - plenty of restaurants and bars, yet a nice quiet location to return to at night. We have already booked again for next year. The owners have thought of everything and it really is home from home.

The property was very nice with a few pleasant homely touches (pictures etc). We had a lovely big outdoor space which was unexpected. The air conditioning was fantastic, very quiet but extremely efficient. The pool was beautiful and never too crowded. Val and Joe (the managing agents) were very helpful and there was a friendly atmosphere in the complex. Would definitely like to return.

Another wonderful holiday in this lovely apartment. Everything we could wish for - have now visited in several different seasons and have enjoyed our holiday here whether it be winter or summer. Thanks for yet another fantastic holiday. The garden is gorgeous (just gets better and better) and so relaxing to sit in. It was great after the BBQ and when the children had gone to bed to just sit and relax in the garden. As ever, the apartment, complex and pool are all still beautifully maintained. Everything you could possibly want. Onsite management team are excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Apartment was spotlessly clean when we arrived. It is in a great location, nice and quiet yet within 10 minutes of a good selection of bars, restaurants and beach. Would definitely recommend.

Awell maintained apartment in a friendly enviroment. Very close to all the aminities such as supermarket, bars and restaurents. The beach is within walking distance and if you want you can stop and relax around the pool

We never tire of visiting this apartment - the accommodation is everything we could wish for - beautifully furnished and well equipped, well maintained garden, nice quiet complex with lovely pool. The service offered from the moment we book through to our return has always been excellent and nothing is too much trouble for the owners and the on site management agents. We have now been five times and hope to be visiting many more times in the future.

Lovely apartment, beach, restaurants, bars, supermarkets a walk away.
Plenty of places to visit a drive away.

Overall, property was in an excellent location and larger than we expected. Gardens were a very pleasant surprise and security was great. We are definitely going to book this property again if we can. Plus full marks for the organisation of the rental arrangements.
