Chalets at Domaine de Larbeou

Eight two bed chalets, each with kitchenette and shower room, are nestled in grounds of an impressive main house and conference centre on the Adour river at the edge of Medieval Bayonne with its attractions and famous Festival. Close to chic Biarritz & sandy and surfing beaches of the Landes with beautiful countryside and within sight of the Pyrenees mountains. Fantastic local food and markets and many fabulous restaurants are all within minutes’ drive. Spain is just 30 minutes and you can be in the city of San Sebastian in under 40 minutes. It takes about an hour 40 to get to Bilbao, Pamplona and the Rioja region with its wonderful vineyards. Close to the Bearn and the Jurançon regions, there are many attractions (including vineyards) closer to home. For those who enjoy the mountains, there are limitless walks of various lengths and difficulty within 15 minutes’ drive. If you are drawn to the French metropolitan cities, vibrant Bordeaux is under two hours’ drive away. A wide choice of beaches for surfing for children and swimming. Lots of beautiful scenery around. Spacious green setting. Mature trees. All chalets clean, new, white walls, furnished IKEA style. Each chalet has private terrace area. Bed linen & towels provided. White bathrooms with walk in shower. WC and hand basin. Fully equipped kitchenette, with all that two people need A fridge, microwave, hotplates and good selection of crockery and utensils.

The location of the cabin means you will hear some noise, though not excessive. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a east facing garden, a east facing patio area, a west facing balcony, panoramic views, interesting views. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

Excellent place to stay, whether you are looking for a chill out holiday or a base to set off from. Close by are Bayonne and Biarritz. St. Jean De Luz and San Sebastian are a little further (Approx between 30-45 mins by car ) and another 15 mins will see you at the foot of the Pyrenees. Accomodation is well furnished and clean. Everything you need for a self catering holiday is provided. Owners Laurence and Polly were superb hosts and will bend over backwards to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Highly recommended.

The cottages were roomy and light and certainly much better than the photos show. The location in relation to Bayonne is exceptional with the proximity to the river as well without the noise and bustle of the city itself. Our host and hostess made sure that all was working well to ensure our holiday was as good as could be.
