Property and local area description

Location

El Pinar de San Gines is nestled into the hillside, less than 500 metres from the unspoilt beach at La Azohia, with beautiful views over the bay of Mazarron. It is in the southern Costa Calida region of Spain, 10 minutes from Puerto de Mazarron and 20 from Cartagena.

La Azohia itself is situated in a beautiful bay sheltered by surrounding hills and provides great diving, snorkelling, sailing, windsurfing and fishing. The beach stretches around most of the bay and slopes gently into crystal clear waters. This is a typical tranquil fishing village with a scattering of cafes, tapas bars and restaurants and remains largely untouched by tourism.

Activities
For the more active, historical Cartagena is only 20 minutes away over the hills. In La Azohia there are at least 3 dive centres, fishing, sailing centre (summer generally), other watersports and areas for walking and cycling.
Nearby (within half an hour) there are plenty of opportunities for golf, all manner of other water sports, tennis, cycling and walking.
There are water parks within an hours drive, numerous beaches along with several National Parks. At Cartagena there is the harbour , many restaurants, the Maritime museum, shopping andn open top bus rides and boat trips. Murcia City is around 1 hour away (very hot in summer).

The Apartment
The apartment at El Pinar has been thoughtfully furnished and is ideal for a relaxing break by the pool, or the nearby beach where we have found the water very pleasant from May to October.
Situated on the first floor, it has a fabulous private roof terrace, which covers the entire apartment below, and is furnished with sunbeds, table, chairs and barbecue, accessed from the living area balcony.

The kitchen is bright and well equipped and the dining table can seat 6 comfortably. There are 2 bedrooms, one double and one twin with a pull out bed for a third person.
There is a well-presented bathroom with bath/shower and bidet.

The apartment benefits from hot and cold air conditioning and entertainment is provided by the television and sound system, DVDs, cds, books and games are on hand for your enjoyment. Children are always welcome and a cot and highchair are provided.

The area is very peaceful.

If you have a larger party or 2 families, our other property on phase 1 ref 11991 is on the same complex.

To summarise, the apartment is ideal for families or a couple or 2, active or otherwise. If you are a party animal this is not for you!
We strongly recommend hiring a car, although collection from the airports can be arranged. If required, we can suggest car hire and airline websites.

The apartment is in a very quiet area. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a patio area, a balcony, sea views, panoramic views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The apt is clean, well furnished and equipped. The views from the sun terrace are stunning and the children enjoyed swimming in the pool. Only a few minutes walk from lovely safe beaches. We enjoyed our stay very much and will recommend happily. We like it quiet out of season, I think the block will be pretty noisy in high season but this is true for any urbanisation! Very good value for money. Pamela was friendly and helpful.

A VERY CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE APARTMENT WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED. IT IS IN A LOVELY LITTLE FISHING VILLAGE , A CAR IS RECOMENDED TO GET AROUND HOWEVER THE LOVELY SANDY BEACH IS ONLY A FEW MINUTES STROLL . WE STAYED IN MID OCTOBER AND SWAM IN THE SEA EVERYDAY, INFACT IT WAS WARMER THAN THE POOLS. WOULD DEFINATELY USE THIS APARTMENT AGAIN AND RECOMEND IT THANKS ANDY , JULIE & FAMILY

We liked * Spacious solarium with fantastic views. * Balancy with shade (from sun and rain !!) * Very well fitted out for a rental apartment. * Location - quiet, but exactly what we wanted. * Proximity to town for supermarkets etc (15 min drive). * Cleaners had left consumable items like foil, washingup liquid etc etc We hated * Only having one set of keys We'd like to see * A gas or electric BBQ for the solarium would be great, or is it that I'm just getting too old to mess about with charcoal.

We both had a fantastic week's holiday. The apartment was very comfortable with everything you could possibly need. It's in a good position in La Azohia, which is a delightful place - it's unspoilt, very Spanish with lovely beaches. An ideal location for a relaxing holiday.
