We had a great time at Villa Jenna. We were blessed with perfect weather (around 28-29 degrees) every day, and had a very relaxed time.
The Cretian driving is something to get used to!
Thank you very much!

After staying at Villa Jenna for a week in 2008, I said that we hoped to return for a longer holiday - and this year we did. The villa is perfectly located, for a quiet relaxing vaccation, with probably the best views in Agia Triada now that the overgown olive trees have been removed from the east facing side of the villa. If you can get up early enough, the sun rising from behind the mountains is stunning. Am I up for a hatrick of visits to Villa Jenna? You bet I am!

Our stay at your villa was excellent. The villa was a nice size and accommodated the 7 of us well, allowing us the opportunity for group gatherings or more private moments on the many balconies. It had all of the facilities that we could have wished for and the large tv was indeed a treat. We particularly enjoyed using the table in the porch for our breakfasts as the pool was inviting and the views were fantastic. The location was ideal as we were close to the beach, with its unrelenting wave battering sea which the three teenagers particularly enjoyed, and a comfortable drive away from the many places that the adults wanted to visit. The little taverna up the hill was a delight and we felt very local. The tavernas in town were also fantastic and catered very well for the mixed needs of our party - teenagers, vegetarians and those of us that wanted to be more adventurous in our tastes. All in all a super location.
Thank you very much for allowing us the use of your lovely villa.
kind regards
Tracie Steer and group.
ps Your travel instructions were really helpful and made the whole experience much less stressful than it may well have been without them!!

The Villa was very well presented an very comfortable. The pool was a blessing and offered an alternative to the beach especially on particularly hot days. The location is accessible to many sites on the island and a wide variety of tavernas, bars and beaches. It is essential to have a car.
It would have been useful to have been warned that the local taverna staff could not speak any English and that many tavernas in Platanes do not take credit or debit cards.
All the facilities at the Villa were excellent and the cleaning was very good but we never met the local representative at all. A sky sports channel would have been great given that we missed the Olympics.

A very well appointed villa, clean spacious and comfortable. Very effective air con. throughout villa. Some thoughtful touches such as CD and small DVD collection for guest use. selec tion of reading material available. Despite there being a large flat screen TV,satellite TV reception was extremely poor.
Initially, not an easy villa to find, especially in the dark ( we arrived at 2230 ).Key left in the door for us. It would have been nice to have a small essentials welcome pack instead of one bottle of water and 1/2 a toilet roll in each bathroom as we didnt feel like venturing out after just driving 1hr 20mins from Hereklion airport and only just managing to find villa after a few wrong turnings! in the pitch black.
The view from the villa was lovely from the numerous balconies available. The villa is surrounded by olive trees and up a hillside. Further up the hillside, next to the property are two other villas, the nearest, would overlook the villa Jenna but it was empty when we were staying so we had total privacy which was lovely.
The pool area had ample sun beds but only one umbrella stand for two umbrellas , despite this , ample shade could be found around the villa.
The steps in and out of the pool was incorporated into the pool filtering system and the foot holes were small the last hole was quite high in the water which meant you needed to be quite agile when lowering yourself in or levering yourself out of the pool.
The villa was cleaned once during our stay. The beds were made, towels changed, floors washed and bins emptied. We never met the manager during our stay but he was very friendly when we spoke to him on the day of our departure(we rang him to ask where we should leave the keys)
Overall we were very pleased with the villa and its position and privacy that it offered. We had a lovely stay in Crete. The only reason my overall rating for the villa was good and not excellent was just my little niggle that we had to buy toilet rolls, hand wash and washing up liquid the very next morning of our arrival and as there was no essentials, like bread, to nibble on for breakfast the next morning,we had to go and find a supermarket first thing before any of us could eat.
Owner reply:
We were sorry to hear that there was no one to meet you at the villa, and there was no welcome pack on your arrival. Our manager is usually efficient in this regard and is a matter we will take up with him. The TV reception from the ariel is poor at times, but if you had managed to switch the satellite box on, it is digital quality and includes BBC World & CNN. We will leave better instructions to operate all the equipment for future visitors. We will also look into adding another set of steps to make it easier to exit the pool.

A wonderful location with spectacular views, especially from the bedrooms and balconies.
Well appointed with all the equipment we needed.
A hire car is probably essential here, but worth it to be located in the middle of expansive olive groves, but only a few minutes drive to all that this part of Crete has to offer.

We booked Villa Jenna because our first choice property near Almirida was not available for the first week of our holiday. We loved the villa, which is well appointed and in really relaxing location with great views from the balconies and terraces (so many to choose from!). We look forward to returning again but for a longer period.

Was nice after a hard day treking around to come back to this villa. We had family staying in hotels down in the towns and what a relief we had this villa and not a hotel. 2 things to note though, internet access is not broadband but by the looks of things you need to bring your own modem cable, and second it was a little tricky to access as the roads arent 100%. Apart from that I would recommend to anyone to stay here as it is good value for money and what doesnt appear to be mentioned in adverts is that the view is amazing, the top bedrooms you wake up to a view of the sea and the sunny blue skies.
Owner reply:
We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Villa Jenna. We should point out that at present there is no internet access at the villa.

The property is very well equipped, air conditioning a great bonus. But above all its the view that is just something else, has to be seen to be believed.
