A fabulous property with a large garden, plenty of room(s) and very well equipped. The owner couldnt have been more helpful. A great base for visiting the Alantejo/Castro Verde area. We were a group of work colleagues on a bird-watching trip and there were plenty to see especially the Great Bustards! We were there in late May and apart from one wet afternoon the weather was fabulous (25+ degrees and even over 30 degrees). A thoroughly enjoyable and very relaxing visit to this part of Portugal.

We were two families of four holidaying together, and we were all very impressed with the quality of the accommodation. This is a very beautiful house.
There was plenty of room for all of us,and a high standard of decoration throughout.
The kitchen was extremely well equipped, allowing us to enjoy cooking together, and the daily deliveries of fresh bread, fish and fruit to the village made a pleasant change from large supermarkets.
The owner worked hard to ensure an internet connection enabling one of us to do some necessary work.
There is a useful standing market each morning in Aljustrel the nearby town which is a good source of varied fruit/veg/meat and fish.Do visit!

Beautifully restored house, full of character, in the midst of a tiny but friendly village. Plenty of space both indoors and outdoors. Salesmen come in their vans 6 days a week to sell fish, bread and cakes and the local shop is surprisingly well stocked.
The area is very tranquil and ideal for a relaxing, stress free break yet within half an hours drive of several towns.
Excellent value for money and would definitely recommend.
Thank you Jorge.

This is a wonderful house in the quietest spot of the alentejo; great to look at the stars, to bake in the sun, to have a siesta, to read a book, to ride a bycicle, to drink a bottle of wine. If you need a rest, this is it.

It is a wonderful surprise to find such a beautiful house with pool treas and space in such a little village in the middle of the Alentejo. The owners are doing a wonderful job renovating this century old house, - some parts of it are still closed,- but the available rooms and living rooms together with the pool area and separate kitchen are a wonderful setting for a short holiday in any season. We were there in the autumn, we will go back in the summer.... Thank you Jorge and Bicha for the warm welcome...

A fair price for a fair house, should be lovely when all the work is complete! Was a little disappointed with the garden, the pool area is lovely as the photo shows but the rest of the garden still needs to be completed and is a bit of an eye sore! Would of liked to of known that the kitchen is not in the main house, although only across a small patio in a seperate annex, for myself and my children it was a bit of a pain to go out and get a drink etc. (maybe we are all just too lazy!)
Overall though a very relaxing week in a lovely village with really friendly people !!
