Whether its soaking up the Sun on the beach, swimming in the safe warm Mediterranean, dining in picturesque Girne (kyrenia) harbour, or up in the Besparmak mountains exploring old Crusader castles, you will sense the unspoilt beauty of the place. Most sporting and beach activities are well catered for, and unlike some Mediterranean resorts, most shops, restaurants and activities remain open throughout the year. Generally speaking Cyprus is classed as a year round destination.
PROPERTY LOCATION & DESCRIPTION
This lovely 3 bedroom 2 bathroom property is situated on the outskirts of Esentepe village in a very peaceful location between two natural ravines overlooking the Mediterranean sea.
Esentepe is approximately 20 minutes drive eastwards along the coast road from Girne (kyrenia) and is a traditional cypriot village a couple of small supermarkets, some local restaurants and a branch of Limassol bank with an ATM machine.
The seafront and coast road is a couple of minutes drive away at the bottom of the hill, and nearby, along the coast road is a petrol station as well as some larger supermarkets and restaurants in either direction. The nearest large sandy beach is approx 8 minutes away at alagadi (Turtle Beach).
For golfers, the exclusive Korineum Golf & Country Club is just under 5 minutes away by car. The course facilities, bars & restaurants are open to all, and are the ultimate in luxury.
The capital Lefkosa (nicosia) is about 35-40 minutes drive.
Esentepe is also conveniently located for access to the unspoilt beauty of the Karpas Peninsula.
Sitting in an elevated position on a small exclusive gated complex, the property offers absolutely stunning sea, forest & mountain views. Suitable for families, couples and golfers, this really is the place to get away from it all and completely unwind from the stresses and strains of modern day life.
The property is furnished to a very high standard, with modern decor and lighting. To ensure you remain cool in the summer, and warm in the winter, all rooms have full remote control dual air-conditioning & heating units, as well as free standing fans if you prefer this to air-conditioning. All bedrooms have fully fitted wardrobes. Accommodation comprises more fully as follows........
Entrance hallway leading to fully fitted and equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, including fan oven, hob, extractor hood, dishwasher, microwave, large fridge/freezer with ice maker. All usual kitchen equipment is provided such as kettle and toaster, cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery as well as a separate refrigerated water cooler.
A spacious lounge-dining room with huge sliding patio doors offers wonderful sea views. There are high quality furnishings including a luxury sofa-suite and dining suite with seating for six. For entertainment there is a Samsung 42 inch flat screen TV, DVD player & Satellite TV, as well as a Sony mini Hi-Fi and an ipod docking station, There is also a selection of DVDs, CDs, books and games available for your use.
The lounge/dining area leads to three bedrooms & two bathrooms. Bedroom 1 has a king size bed, patio doors & sea views. Adjoining bedroom 1 is a fully tiled en-suite, with power shower, WC, wash basin and washing machine. Bedroom 2 also has a king size bed, patio doors & sea views. In addition, there is a digital safe to store your valuables. Bedroom 3 is a twin room with mountain views, a single bed with full size pull out bed below. The single beds can be pushed together to make a super king size bed, or used separately as two singles. There is also a travel cot for infants. Voile curtains in all bedrooms have extra thick lining curtains behind. Duvets and bed linen are provided.
There is a large fully tiled family bathroom with WC & wash basin, full size bath, shower screen & power shower over. All towels are provided.
Outside: To the front is a large garden area, ample car parking space with mountain views, whilst to the rear there is a tiled terrace/garden area with panoramic sea & forest views. Sun loungers with cushions are provided. The terrace has a wooden pergola above complete with fabric pergola weave for added privacy as well as another dining suite for eating alfresco. There is also an outside gas BBQ. The evening sunsets to be seen from here are a sheer delight, with the twinkling lights of kyrenia in the distance making a wonderful backdrop.
In the apartment are guide books and maps, as well as a guest information book that we have produced to give you more detailed information about the apartment, complex, local area, and Northern Cyprus in general.
To add to your comfort the apartment also has fully fitted fly screens to all doors and windows. This is particularly useful, especially at night when its hot, as you can leave doors and windows open if you wish to help you stay cool whilst keeping out any little flies, mosquitoes or beasties that may want to munch on you!!!
The spacious grounds & gardens are comprehensively landscaped and at varying times of the year display a profusion of flowers and colour.
There is an enormous 30 metre swimming pool complimented by Olive Trees and very spacious sun terraces with sunloungers/cushions provided. A separate childrens pool is adjacent to the main pool. For those that prefer shade there is a large covered Pergola area. For the kids, there is a small childrens play area too.
A superb private fully fitted air-conditioned gymnasium complex is also on site and FREE for your use, complete with two large screen LCD TVs with Satellite channels to keep you entertained & motivated whilst you work out. When you have built up a sweat, there are full shower & toilet facilities located within the building. Also in the Gym is a full size Table Tennis table, a large DVD/Book library, as well as a set of golf clubs (subject to availability) free for your use.
From the uk there are two routes into North Cyprus. The first is by flying into ‘Ercan’ (the North’s only airport) via Turkey. Our preferred operator on this route is Pegasus airlines. Flights by this route take a little longer as they make a scheduled stop in Turkey, but Pegasus passengers for North Cyprus remain seated on the aircraft. Turkish airlines also operate this route from the UK, but at the time of writing you do have to get off the plane and change at Istanbul with them. Transfer time to the apartment from Ercan airport is approximately 40 minutes.
The second route is by flying into ‘larnaca’ in southern Cyprus. The flight times are shorter due to flying direct, but the transfer time is longer at approx 70+ minutes. From the UK there are a number of operators on this route. Cyprus Airways & British Airways both operate scheduled daily flights all year round. There are also seasonal services from Easyjet, Monarch, Thomas Cook, ThomsonFly, First Choice, and a number of other operators.
AIRPORT TRANSFERS & CAR HIRE
We always advise new guests to take a taxi transfer to the property unless you are familiar with the area. As already mentioned, transfer time from North Cyprus Ercan Airport is approx 40 minutes, whilst from Larnaca its approx 70+ minutes.
The companies we use are very reliable and highly recommended. If arriving at Ercan airport in North Cyprus they can arrange taxi transfers to and from the airport, or can arrange for you to pick up your car at the airport.
If flying into Larnaca they can collect you from there too. Current cost is approx £50.00 each way, but this is the TOTAL cost for the Taxi and up to seven people, so is very good value. We do advise you to check Taxi transfer costs as prices can change.
A driver from one of our recommended companies will be waiting outside airport arrivals holding up a card with your surname on. They should also have the telephone access code to the complex for when you arrive at the accomodation and can take you through the security gate right to your front door. You do not have to pay anything in advance for your car hire (not even a deposit) until they deliver your hire car to your accommodation. The taxi fare is also not usually payable until delivery of the car hire.
We DON'T recommend hiring a car at Larnaca and driving from south to north due to complications with Insurance.

IMPORTANT NOTES BELOW - PLEASE READ
BOOKING DATES: Please be aware that if you are due to arrive in the early hours of the morning, this is the FIRST NIGHT of your stay. Therefore, when placing a booking you MUST ensure that you select the DAY BEFORE as your booking start date in order to allow you access to the property on arrival. Failure to do this could entail someone else booking that date, which would mean the property is still occupied by other guests when you arrive. You will then have to wait until up to 3pm to gain access.
ENTRY & EXIT TIMES: Standard entry time into the apartment is 3pm on the day of arrival and exit time is 10am on the day of departure. Under certain circumstances these times can be flexible for no additional cost by prior arrangement with the owner.
OCCUPANCY: Maximum occupancy is 6 persons although there is also a travel cot to accomodate an additional infant. Please ensure names of ALL people in your party are entered when you book. Our management company do check that numbers in the party occupying the property coincide with those on the booking. If after booking you wish to add further people to your party you MUST confirm this with us first before the start of your holiday. Failure to do so will render you in breach of the terms & conditions of the rental agreement and may lead to you being asked to vacate the property with forfeiture of all monies paid.
SECURITY BREAKAGE DEPOSIT - ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE WAIVER: When you book you have two options;
1) Either pay a refundable £200.00 breakage deposit which is returned to you 14 days after satisfactory inspection of the property following the end of your stay, OR
2) Alternatively, you can pay a £30.00 non-refundable damage waiver insurance policy offered by Villarenters.
The damage waiver covers you against accidental damage to a value of £200.00 and we therefore recommend this as the most suitable option, although the choice is entirely yours.
From the front of the property are views of the Besparmak mountains and from the back are wide views of the Mediterranean sea.
