Oliva is a charming Spanish town just inland from the Costa Blanca. The town has a main area which has many shops, bars, restaurants and a Tourist Information Centre. The house, however, is situated in the old historic part of the town and although the two halves are easy walking distance the house is in a very quiet area.
House was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Air con (which is a must) was easy to use and the kitchen had all necessary amenities. There is a balcony roof which is lovely to sit out on where you can have dinner or a drink while looking out over the towns roofs and you can see as far as the coastline. There were three of us in our party and there was plenty of room.
Oliva is also a good location for exploring the Costa Blanca although a car is necessary. If you travel to Gandia (about 10 mins) you can get a train to Valenica or even drive a further 5 mins to Xeroca you can get the same train but the parking is free. Many other sites are worth exploring. We visited Xavita, Denia, Gauderlest and Calpe which were all lovely and well worth a visit. You could also visit Benidorm if you really wanted to. My only advice is when travelling around then take a good map as the Spanish are a bit economical with their sign posts.
The couple that own this property are very friendly and helped with directions and instructions right up to the day we left.
Very good value for money and an excellent holiday. Highly recommended !!
