Avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour. La maison est spacieuse, confortable, très propre. Idéalement bien située pour graviter dans le nord du Portugal, pour Porto, le Douro, Braga, Guimaraes, Viana etc. Les gens qui nous accueillent sont super chaleureux (merci à Jose et sa soeur) et sont disponibles en tout temps. Très bon rapport qualité-prix. À retenir pour une prochaine fois.

Nous avons tout simplement passé d’inoubliables vacances dans cet endroit. La villa est dans un état irréprochable, parfaitement entretenue et propre. Elle possède non seulement tous les équipements de confort que l’on peut attendre mais elle est en plus décorée avec goût. Il en va de même pour le jardin et la piscine. Cerise sur le gâteau, pour rendre ce séjour magique, Maria, la personne en charge de la villa est à votre disposition dès que vous avez une question ou la moindre difficulté. Maria peut même vous proposer de découvrir les saveurs culinaires du Portugal, en vous préparant les repas et en les servant à votre convenance avec classe et discrétion au bord de la piscine ou dans la grande salle à manger. C’est une excellente cuisinière.
Nous tenons également à remercier José, Katarina et Nuno qui ont aidé Maria à satisfaire nos moindres désirs.
Nous voyageons régulièrement et cette location figure parmi les meilleures que nous ayons connues et la qualité de l’accueil restera inoubliable.

we have been to the property a number of times and enjoyed every
visit, this time we had the addition of maria the housekeeper who
will cook you wonderful portugese meals if you wish. she is a lovely
lady . the villa its self is beautiful and ideal for a relaxing holiday
and would recommend it for a true taste of portugal and its great people.

We had a wonderful family vacation at this lovely property. Adding to the experience were the excellent meals that the caretakers - Dulce and Clarinda - prepared for us. The site is within about 45-60 minutes of many interesting destinations, and staying behind for a swim and a local walk are good things to do as well. Highly recommended.

This is a lovely villa furnished to a high standard and very well equipped with every mod con. Bed linen, towels and cloths are of excellent quality and well laundered. Cleanliness is good throughout with the exception of dirty net curtains. The attractive garden is well maintained, peaceful with lovely views and lots of fruit trees. The pretty small cottage had issues with no gas and or hot water and there is no lock on the door! It is rarely used and this is apparent. Day to day maintenance is a problem. Of the FOUR bathrooms at the property - there are only four bathrooms and one cloakroom - only one of the bathrooms was fully functional for the whole week. The specially featured TomTom did not work. Complaints were not accepted well and repairs were not carried out despite Daniels promises. We arrived late from the UK and were welcomed by Daniel with a courtesy pack of food and Daniel also fetched us wine for the evening as the shops had closed and for this we were most grateful. Despite the issues we, a party of eight, still thoroughly enjoyed our time at the villa. Our low rating for the property is purely because of the issues with maintenance - it could be the Amazing Villa Carlos aspires to own.

The old saying "customer is king" is a great one, and one we live by. However, as anything in life, there are exceptions. The group who rented this property arrived late, and requested food and drinks in the fridge on their arrival as restaurants were closed. We offered complimentary milk, water, bread, butter, oil, eggs, beer and champagne at no extra cost. Apparently this is not enough... There were some minor maintenance tasks to be done in the property and my friend Daniel tried to fix these, just to be shun by the group who "wanted privacy". The small issues happened over a weekend, and obviously bringing in contractors is difficult (in any case they were minor issues such as window lock not working in a completely closed country property). Other issues were, well, non-issues. The lights in the living room worked perfectly but there are two switches which work in tandem and you need to figure this out. The Tom-Tom navigator is working perfectly (just checked) but probably the guests haven't charged it. We are disappointed as we tried our very best to accommodate their needs, but although the villa is - as per their words - "furnished to a very high standard and very well equipped" - we deserved a 1,5 star rating which we feel is utterly unfair. However, coming back to the saying "customer is king" we are taking this criticism fully on board and will be improving all the details and issues encountered.

La propriété est tout simplement parfaite, rien ne manque pour passer dexcellentes vancances. Les personnes en charge sont charmantes et extrêmement serviables. A recommander très fortement. Nous réserverons certainement de nouveau.
This villa is absolutly perfect to spend an excellent stay with your family. People in charge is very kind. we deeply recommend this villa to anyone whod like to discover North of Portugal.

La maison était trés grande et trés confortable.
La piscine était agréable et bien entretenu par une personne trés agréable et serviable.
Il manquait juste une chaine hifi, et lentrée est un peu étroite pour un gros véhicule, mais il rentre tout de même.
Je recommande fortement (même si les frais de change de devise GBP/EUR font augmenter le prix)

Another fantastic holiday at this villa, everything was perfect, the grounds, gardens, the pool and the villa. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner, including meeting us at the airport. The location is ideal for a relaxing peaceful holiday by the pool. Looking forward to returning next year

Tout était parfait, nous avions 6 enfants et ils ont adoré investir les lieux. La maison est très spacieuse avec tout ce que lon peut attendre. Le jardin est très grand et bien entretenu. Le gardien et son épouse sont charmants et très serviables. La piscine est parfaite pour 10 (attention néanmoins pas de barrière sécurité pour les enfants). Je recommande bien sûr cette villa..

My family and I stayed at this villa over the Christmas period 2009. We had a fantastic time and the villa was absolutely brilliant. Christmas dinner at the large dinning table was a special feast and relaxing in such a spacious place with luxury furnishings made the holiday a real dream. Highly recommended.

A lovely house in pretty setting, but we were expecting more country atmosphere from the photos. Our first shock was to find a dog and chickens cooped up in unspeakable conditions.
There were no basics of any kind in kitchen. We left a lot and am sure others have, but there was NOTHING. Entrance toilet was overflowing and told Daniel, nothing done. Power went out and no batteries in flashlight. The dryer didnt work, finally got a new one and the refrigerator leaked a good amount of water on kitchen floor, had been noted by Daniel that ice didnt work.
The little house had no hot water, was musty and full of mosquitoes.
We are willing to pay for a nice house, but this had many shortcomings.

The main house was furnished to the highest quality. Bedrooms spotless, lounge spacious with satelite TV and a well equipped kitchen.
Swimming pool was crystal clear and clean.
The old Farm house was also comfortable and adequate.
Being totally enclosed with controlled access, the property was extremely safe for children with ample lawn area to play on.
A manager attended each evening to clean the pool and tend the gardens.
If you want to rest, read, fall in the pool, BBQ in the evening, then this is the place. The only reason we went off site was to replenish supplies from the supermarket.

We cant rate this property enough and have booked again within 24 hours of being home. The description led us to have high expectations but in reality it beat them all. Its peaceful and fully enclosed so you can feel miles from anywhere while laying in the very well kept gardens. The owner, gardener and person of contact were very helpful and done everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. We highly recommend this property.

WOW What a fantastic property! The villa is massive, surrounded by the fruit farm, in the suburbs but totally private, electronically operated gates. 1/2 an hour from loads of great places to visit, pool beautiful but a bit chilly as not heated, did not deter our kids even in April! Massive windows in villa open over pool oneside sheltered courtyard the other and orange trees. Kitchen is amazing even had a steaming oven. granite worktops everything you could want. Access is a bit tight could not drive minibus to house. Very clean and welll looked after. We had a great holiday and hope to go back. You will have a great holiday here!!!!

What a fantastic large modern villa. This villa was chosen by us after reading so many positive reviews from previous renters and it not only lived up to our expectations, it surpassed them by far! From the moment we arrived we were made feel very welcome by carlos the owner who showed us around and answered any questions we had. The first thing we noticed is the superb pool and garden area with its well kept lawn which surrounds the pool making it a great place to be for children and adults alike. The interior is of the main villa is very spacious and well fitted out with modern appliances from the bathrooms to the kitchen, which also contains every utensil you could possibly wish for. All in all, it was a fabulous holiday enjoyed by all, and not forgetting to mention some of the local restaurants who served excellent food.
Highly recommended.

Our Family first booked this lovely villa last October and found it so good we booked it again for June this year.We would certainly recommend it to friends and family for a quiet relaxing holiday, the villa is excellent value and the decor is second to none, set in lovely grounds which is well looked after by Mr Silva the gardener.
We will be booking again next year

The standard in this property is exceptionally high. Despite the bad weather we managed to have an excellent holiday. The owner and groundsman were very helpful and friendly. The GPS really helped with finding local attractions. We would love to visit again sometime.

What a marvellous large property, well located close to many amenities and in a quiet neighbourhood. Furnished with modern equipment and furniture, very comfortable and spacious. Our stay has been a most enjoyable experience and the gps provided by the owner has been a very useful instrument in getting us to local tourist sites without waste of time searching around. We were most appreciative of the warm welcome and assistance in ensuring we were accommodated properly. Thank you for a most enjoyable holiday!

If it had not been for the superb villa our holiday would have been awful, due to terrible weather.
The GPS system provided by the villa is essential to ensure you get the best from the local area.
Be warned that the locals speak very little english and no restaurants (that we could find) locally could help with explaining the menu's.
The on site grounds man is superb and does whatever he can to make sure your stay is comftable.
It was a real treat to open the back door and pick fresh lemons and oranges.

La casa esta realmente bien, todas las estancias son amplias y con mucha luz natural, esta muy bien amueblada y en la cocina tienes todo lo que puedas necesitar. La parte del jardin y la piscina esta muy bien cuidada, y el trato por parte de los señores ha sido muy bueno.
Puedo decir que es una de las mejores casas en las que he estado y desde luego si puedo pienso volver.

We have stayed in many houses, but this one simply bursts the scale! Huge space, completely private, Jacuzzi baths, air-cond, we were thrilled.
The are and the local town are nothing to write home about and offer little entertainment, But the motorway is 1 mile aways and the managers lend a navigations system which makes it a snap to get around to the local supermarket (excellent, by the way) and - foremost - to the nearby medieval towns and marvellous beaches.
We will come back!

This house is simply a palace. Great furnishings, air-cond, hige private garden and pool, 2 barbecue site, inner patio, all impecably kept and of very high standard.
The area is perfect for anyone wishing to have a really relaxing holiday, and make the occasional drive to historical cities or one of the many beaches in the coast.
When booking on the Internet we were concerned as it is always a lottery. We must say in this case, the ad does not make justice to the house, it absolutely exceeds expectations.

We were absouletely thrilled with this holiday.
Being a less touristic area of Portugal, we knew the environment would be calm and were a bit worried it would get boring. No way! We had a really relaxing - but thouroughly pleasurable holiday!
This is a extraordiny Villa: completely private pool and huge garden, on f the few properties around that is fully air-conditioned (a must as it gets really hot in the Summer, we've had in the past holidays under over 100º), 2 jacuzzis, impecable finish and standard of cosntruction.
The owners are very hospitable, they have a good welcome pack and the tomtom GPS system they lend us with previously programmed restaurants, points of itnerest, etc, proved really helpful. We stongly recommend to other renters that they rent a car and explore the area. The local town is small, but being 1 mile from the motorway junction, it is very conveniently connected to fantastic medieval towns such as Guimarães, Porto, and the beaches on the cost.
We will come back !

The property absolutely exceeded our expectations.
All features - Jacuzzi, Air-Cond, Private pool, are of high standard, and there is lots of space and privacy in the surrounding farm,
We had a great time just staying in the home and using the barbecue, but we also explored the region a bit, and it is surpsiginly diverse. The owners lend a GPS system to renters, so it is a snap to get around.
We will certainly come back!

We had a fantastic time in this fantastic Villa. It does not just live up to expectations, it EXCEEDS any by far. It is impecably furnished, the garden is huge, and it is very private, and you can hear nothing but the birds singing.
The owners were very hospitable and they gave us a GPS system preprogrammed with places of interest, historical towns, beaches and fabulous restaurants! The area is very interesting if one has rented a car and finds its way around,
We are definitely coming back!
