Rineen House

Rineen house is a beautifully refurbished cottage offering it’s guests spectacular views of Skellig Michael and Waterville Bay. Set in a stunning location on the mountainside approximately 4kms off the main ring of Kerry route as you exit Waterville heading towards Caherdaniel, it is the perfect location for a relaxing, unwinding break.

Fully detached with it’s own parking, Rineen has been furnished and restored to 5 star hotel standard with 5 bedrooms, 3 of which are ensuite.

The entrance hall has a spiral staircase leading to a double bedroom with walk in wardrobe and ensuite with power shower. Combination of under floor heating and normal radiator heating.

The restored cottage annexe has 3 bedrooms, master bedroom ensuite, twin room and double bedroom. There is a main bathroom with Jacuzzi bath. An Italian style stairs leads to the master bedroom with Jacuzzi bath and a twin room. All rooms have skylights with sea views.

Suitable for those looking for a peaceful, secluded holiday.

Kitchen
The kitchen, with tiled flooring is fully equipped with microwave, American fridge. Utility room has a washing machine, tumble dryer, Freezer, iron and ironing board. There is an Island in the center of the kitchen with oven and stainless steel hob. The dining area is just off the kitchen with seating for 10 people. Lighting is recessed throughout the house.

Living Room & Viewing Deck
Leading off the kitchen is the living room area, which is separated from the kitchen by a rotating gas stove. This contemporary style room has walnut wooden floor and ceiling to floor windows with uninterrupted views to the Skellig Rocks. There is a spiral staircase at the side of the living room leading to a magnificent mezzanine floor an interior viewing gallery with beautiful cane furniture where guests can spend hours relaxing while enjoying in the breathtaking views. Beautiful place to stay with magnificent sea view. Ideal if you want to spent some time on quite place out of civilisation (however there are few houses around). Reasonable distance to nearest village (by car). Some home equipment are already bit “used” (broken lids on toilets) and couple of bulbs was broken, but in general the house was clean and comfortable.

The property is located in a beautiful location, stunning views, very comfortable house, eight of us stayed and had plenty of room. We all enjoyed it and will return. The house is very remote but its worth it for the location.

13/08/2011 Highly recommended I stayed here with my family at the end of June. The house is absolutely beau tiful, it has underfloor heating, and is cosy as well as spacious. The view is amazing, we all sat for hours just taking it all in. Definitely one of the most gorgeous places Ive ever stayed, anywhere in the world. Mary, Crewise

Just returned from vacation at Rineen House 6/11-6/18. House certainly lives up to its 5 star rating. It is fairly remote, but worth the drive for the spectacular views. Would have been helpful to have instruction booklet with information on how to run hot water/heating,etc. Also, do not depend on washer/dryer for clean clothes. Washer worked ok, but dryer would not dry clothes. Would definitely stay again!

To start with we were a little bit doubtful: Stunning newly renovated Irish cottage!!?? Promotion talk? But then we found out what it really was: Stunning!!! It is a wonderful place. Nice from the outside, nice interior, nice views. Find out yourself - we definitely enjoyed it very much!
