Having visited Monte Pego many times during the past 15 years, this was once again a very happy holiday, filled with sun, swim and surf. The exception though, was our first-time stay in this lovely villa, Casa Kalouda, which was spotlessly clean on our arrival. This house is fully equipped with first-class appliances and a file filled with instructions/manuals for everything contained within it. Glenda and Steve have been exceptionally helpful and thoughtful, and truly take care of this little gem with great care and dedication.
We could not have asked for more from a holiday and we are so grateful to the owners for sharing their lovely holiday house with complete strangers.

Have just returned after a 1 week stay at the villa.
The description is spot on and the views are amazing. We went for peace and quiet and thats exactly what we got.
The villa is well equipped with everything you need and there is also a BBQ area and sink on the terrace which we used every day. Pool also great and the terrace is south facing.
Car hire is a must and is needed to go to the beach and supermarket.
The supermarket in Pego is very cheap with prices far less than the UK. All shops are closed on Sunday so stock up on arrival.
Villa is also spotlessly clean with fluffy white towels and freshly laundered bed linen.
Glenda and Steve (neighbours) who look after the property were very helpful and on hand when needed.
Would recommend.

We had a fabulous week at Casa Kalouda. The villa is very well appointed and maintained and the the pool was lovely. The best thing, though, has to be that stunning view, the photos dont do it justice. We spent our days relaxing on the terrace or in the pool and evenings barbecuing and watching the sunset. If you want total R&R in a beautiful location - look no further. The owner Carl was very responsive and friendly as were the caretakers who live next door. All in all we cant fault anything. Im sure there are plenty of places of interest locally but we didnt feel the need to seek them out - we were so happy at the villa!

The location of Casa Kalouda is something special perched on the mountain side with its fantastic views over the Orange groves and Rice fields and the distant coastline. Even the steep approach road and driveway added to its appeal. Having been to the area several times before this was the best presented villa and clearly cared for by Carl the owner.

The villa met our overall expectations. The property matched the description and photos on the web site. The villa itself was modern and well cared for.
Both the owner and the local caretaker were easy and pleasant to deal with. The instructions for the villa including the ground rules and appliance instructions were clear. The driving directions were accurate.
The final driveway to the villa is a bit scary - it's up a very steep one lane road around a virtually blind corner. Fortunately very few cars travel the road since there are only 5 or 6 properties on the road.
The villa is further from the beach than we anticipated, but the location turned out to be very good. There is an amazing amount of construction that would have made staying right along the beach unpleasant. This was a good compromise and the view from the property is very nice.
After staying a week I would recommend the property to friends.

A beautiful location, and a modern, clean and comfortable property with all the conveniences and comforts of home. (I wish it was MY home).
The views from the pool and terrace are amazing and we never tired of watching the sun setting whilst relaxing over our dinner or having a lazy breakfast by the pool.
We couldn't recommend this property more highly.

The photos do not do the views from the villa justice.
It was so relaxing to just sit and watch the sunset in such a peaceful envoirement.
The villa was very well equipped as well as being absoutely immacualte on our arrival.
The caretakers ceratinly lived up to their title and did indeed take very good care of us.
A very good holiday.

Lovely pool with floats.
Good views as on web page.
Villa very clean.
Bedrooms larger than looks on web page.
Well equipped. With English speaking neighbours and information available (in English) at main gate to Monte Pego.
Very nice.
I would recommend to anyone who doesn't mind steps up to front door.

Just home from our fourth visit to this beautiful villa. The views are amazing, and we ave all left Casa Kalouda with wonderful memories. This villa is like a home away from home, equiped to a very high standard, and spotlessly clean. The children very much enjoed the pool!

We had a wonderful family holiday at Casa Kalouda. Our 15 month son loved the pool and the nearby sandy beaches. A wonderfully relaxing and tranquil location. The views from the villa are incredible. Be warned though, the roads in the area are not for the faint hearted! We loved the area so much we are even considering buying our own property. We look forward to returning soon.

This property is ideally suited for families - the children adored the pool! Hiring a car is a must - the location is fairly remote but within easy reach of civilisation - make sure you understand the directions before you set off!
The views from this villa are spectacular - mountains, sea and sunsets!
The caretakers live next door and are very friendly and more than happy to help - should you need them.
Try the beaches at Oliva - we preferred them to Denia.
Would definitley recommend and will hopefully visit again.

The Villa was well equiped, spacious and nicely furnished. The terrace area, pool and amazing views exceeded our expectations. The location was very peaceful but the drive to the coast and local towns took longer than we expected, due as much to heavy traffic as the distance. We would return to the villa for a peaceful, get away from it all holiday. The directions to the villa could have been more detailed, it took us 3 attempts up the mountain to find it.
Owner reply:
Regarding the comments about the directions, this is the first time anyone has commented about them being inadequate. However I have taken this on board and have improved them.
