The Mountain Dream Complex

Mountain Dream complex is a luxury development of traditional architectural style built to a high standard. It includes an on-site hotel with restaurant facilities, spa complex and swimming pool due to open in February 2008. It is 5 mins to the ski lift gondola and 10 mins to the town centre. We have two identical 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartments in the same block on adjacent floors. Ideal for a group of friends or 2 families holidaying together. The apartments are spacious, furnished to a high standard, and sleep up to 6 each. They are fully equipped, including cable TV and DVD player. Internet facilities are available in the internet cafe for a small additional weekly charge also in the apartment. There is secure parking and 24 hour concierge service. Additional cleaning can be arranged at a moderate extra cost. A holiday here combines the independence of self-catering backed by hotel facilities if required. Everything is geared to you having a very comfortable holiday here.

The Apartment
Spacious apartment, furnished to a high standard. sleep up to 6. The master bedroom has a double bed and en-suite bathroom and opens onto a balcony. The second bedroom has twin beds and also opens onto the balcony. There is a second shower room.
The lounge, dining area and kitchen are open plan with a double sofa bed and 2 armchairs in the lounge, and cable TV and DVD player. The lounge and dining area open onto a second balcony.
The kitchen is fully equipped including oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher. There is ample room in the entrance hall for luggage, coats, ski boots etc. All linen and towels are provided. Internet facilities are available in the internet cafe and for a small additional weekly charge also in the apartment. There is electric heating as well as log fire.

Bansko Town
Bansko town is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It has narrow cobbled streets with stone houses, 120 cultural monuments, museums and permanent ethnographic exhibitions. In the centre is The Holy Trinity church with its 30 m high bell tower and clock, splendid murals and woodcarvings.
In summer hiking, climbing and horse riding are popular. There are well signed routes and hikers' chalets. Mountain bikes can be hired in order to explore this beautiful region. Local companies can organise trips in the mountains e.g. white water rafting, canoeing, paragliding. Also in summer the town hosts a week long jazz festival and other events.
For après ski the traditional Bansko tavern ("Mehana"), with their exceptional charm and style offer local atmosphere with their cuisine and good selection of Bulgarian wines. Most of the local "Mehanas" even offer live folk music. A visit or two to these is a must! Discos and night clubs work without time limit, and usually close early in the morning.
As the cost of living is very cheap in Bulgaria, your money will go several times further here than in skiing resorts in other parts of Europe.
Bansko is the newest and the most rapidly developing ski resorts in Bulgaria. 40 million Euros have been invested, to create a top rate facility with the best equipment, including a new gondola, snow guns, electronic ski pass system etc. There are 14 pistes totalling 65km, including a 16 km run plus cross country and excellent off piste skiing. Bansko is popular with snowboarders; facilities include a half pipe. There is a top class ski school for all levels of ability. The ski season is one of the longest; roughly mid December until the end of April.The Ski area is excellent for beginners and intermediates. For snowboarders and the more advanced skiers there is challenging off piste.
