This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this property and im sure it wont be the last . The location is fantastic so much to do and see in the area and you dont need a car . The property its self is maintained to a very high standard it is spotless and the owners Betina and Gordon are such a helpful couple nothing is to much trouble from the moment you make your booking to time you leave . I would highly recommend this apartment its great for couples and families alike . Wish i was still there.

we spent a very very nice week at Medina del Zoco and we cannot wait to get back there. The apartment was spotless and faultless as far as we were concerned. The gardens and pool were very well kept and the location of the apartment was brilliant with everything you could need right on your door step. We honestly couldnt praise this place enough. Its a no-brainer. Many thanks to Betina and Gordon.

Before our holiday had begun we spoke to Bettina who was an excellent host, advising us on transfers and answering any questions about the property. Security at the villa was excellent but not overbearing and we were met at the gates by Bettina as soon as we arrived. The photos were excellent and the apartment did not disappoint. It was first class, spotlessly clean, modern and spacious and full of everything we could possibly need: a well stocked kitchen with hot drink facilities waiting on arrival, a safe, towels, hair dryer, and pool toys for the children etc. Since we were staying for 9 days Gordon made a special journey to swap our towels for fresh ones after 6 days. An excellent property!!

This property exceeded all expectations , All the communication we had prior to travel and arrival in Spain with Betina was excellent nothing was to much trouble and the apartment was spotless and it was very well equiped , infact cant think of anything that could have made it any better it felt homely and comfortable from day one . The apartment is in an excellent location and although we did hire a car we rarely used it so many local places to explore and we spent many a relaxing hour down by the pool and chilling out on a sunbed. i would throughly recommend this apartment to friends and relatives looking for a holiday in southern spain and really cant praise Betina and Gordan enough they were the perfect hosts .. Look foward to staying again thank you.

A lovely well presented property, which was spotless and well equipped.
The property was ideal for us, with enough room and seating for a family of 5.
The complex gardens were well maintained and clean. The pool was of good size and plenty big enough.
I would definately recommend this property. The property met all our expectations and the owner was both friendly and happy to help us with information relating to the resort during our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment, it was good value for money and exceeded our expectations. It was absolutely immaculate, even inside all the kitchen cupboards and drawers - Bettina obviously works very hard to keep it this way. My husband, 16 year old daughter and her 16 year old friend all had a great holiday. We like the quietness, pretty garden area and lovely pool - also the close proximity to the lovely restaurants, bars and supermarkets. We would definitely recommend this apartment and Bettina looked after us from initial emails until our departure, recommending a very efficient transfer, meeting us on arrival, changing bedding and towels after first week, to coming to the apartment for our departure, when we also met her husband who was equally friendly. Went across with my 17year old daughter and her friend and we were all absolutely delighted with the property, it was exactly as it looks on the pictures (which is rare) light, bright and airy. The personal touches such as soaps, cotton buds, 1st aid kit, pool toys, books, games and dvds were appreciated. The apartment was spotless and I am very fussy -) Bettina and her husband were very accomodating and made a special journey to deliver a 2nd set of keys on request. The pool area was fab, very well maintained and the whole complex felt safe and secure. Ideally situated for the supermarket, shops and bars but no late night noise (May). I have already recommended the apartment to friends and family. Thankyou Bettina a lovely apartment which helped to make a great holiday!

What a wonderful apartment, all the comforts of home, we took are two year old girl with us she loved it she kept calling it her house, she settled so well, and the place is very baby safe, which was one of are main concerns, Bettina was there to meet us and was so warm and friendly, the apartment is very well furnished with every thing you could ask for , the grounds are lovely, and it is very well located for all your needs, we will definitely be going back .

The apartment is well furnished and clean and comfortable. The location is good in Calahonda and it is easy to walk to the main parts of interest. There is a bus stop nearby which we made full use of to get us to Cabopino beach and Fuengirola. The pool area is lovely and going in October meant we had it to ourselves most days. The weather was good too except for one afternoon wen it rained so we stayed in the apartment and watched some DVDs we found there. The kitchen is well supplied and the whole complex feels safe and well-maintained. Bettina is very friendly and was there on our arrival to welcome us and tell us about the area and amenities. This was my first time in a rental apartment and the whole experience was great and I would definitely recommend the El Zoco apartment.

We had a lovely holiday in Calahonda, there were plenty of restaurants within walking distance and most days we walked to Cabopino beach as it is a really lovely beach. We also found a variety of great restaurants within a short bus or taxi ride between Calahona and Marbella.
Bettina looked after us really well and gave us lots of ideas for things to do.
We were a bit surprised at the cost of taxis and we also found that taxi drivers seemed to have a variety of prices for the same trip.
We would probably recommend renting a car, as well as getting you to the beach in a few minutes, this would also be handy to take day trips if you get a cloudy or rainy day, there is lots to see within a couple of hours drive.
However, we also used the local bus service and this runs as detailed on the published schedule.

Excellent apartment which was really well maintained and clean. The apartment had everything that you would need and in a great location close to restaurants, bars and supermarkets. We had a really enjoyable time with our young daughter who enjoyed the pool very much. We will definetly consider returning soon.

Wow! What a lovely apartment! A refreshing change to stay at an apartment that actually reflects the description from the Web Site i.e. clean, tidy and beautifully furnished. The location was great for our kids aged 10 &13, the complex is secure, the pool area is safe and NOT crowded. Bettina was great to deal with, ensuring we knew where everything was and that we were comfortable. Being a keen cook, the kitchen had everything I needed to make some tasty seafood dishes (paella of course) with the abundant supply of fresh seafood bought from the well-stocked local supermarkets. The apartment is situated in a very nice complex with views over the pool. The complex as a whole is very well maintained. The apartment is very well equipped and ideally placed for all the local amenities so if you do not wish to hire a car you can walk to everything that you would need for a very nice holiday.
Bettina met us at the property on time and showed us everything that we needed to know about the apartment.
We found that there was no worries whatsoever with hand over when arriving and leaving the property as Bettina is very efficient and happy to help with anything that you need.
I would recommend this apartment to practically anyone looking for a few days in the sun with restaurants, bars and entertainment on your doorstep.

My husband, myself and our teenage son stayed in this apartment for a week in early July 2010. On arrival we met Bettina, who informed us that tea, coffee, milk and water was available if we wanted to make tea or coffee. We felt at home immediately. The apartment block is built in a Moorish style and very pleasant to look out at from the spacious balcony where we all our meals overlooking the beautifully maintained garden and pool area. We lay out on sunbeds in the garden under trees on some hot afternoons. The supermarket is 3 minutes walk and there are some very good restaurants very close by. The beach can be accessed by a bridge over the main road and is very clean. We used the local buses and trains and found both to be very efficient. All in all we found both the Spanish and the English people we met to be very pleasant and helpful. We had a very relaxing weeks holiday. Thanks Bettina.

WE STAYED 3 WEEKS DURING THE WETTEST WINTER FOR MANY YEARS. EVEN SO THE ACCOMODATION HELPED US HAVE A VERY GOOD TIME. EVERYTHING WAS CLEAN AND VERY WELL PRESENTED AND THE UNDERGROUND PARKING A REAL BOON. ALL THE APPLIANCES WORKED PERFECTLY AND WE ENJOYED AS MUCH COMFORT AS WE WOULD AT HOME. Just returned after 9day stay in this apartment. Excellent throughout. Great location. Beautiful apartment with everything in it.Totally child friendly,spotlessly clean,beautiful garden,and swimming pools, quiet at night, close to shops ,pubs and restaurants. Excellent bus service 5 min walk.
Apartment itself very tastefully decorated,bright and cheerful. playthings for children ie books dvds jigsaws etc. All other amenities within first class.Even a beach bag, first aid etc. Amazing thought gone into all of it. WELL DONE !!!!

What can I say? This apartment is lovely! It is spacious, decorated to a very high standard and is spotlessly clean. It is bright, modern and airy with the sun shining on the balcony all day long (a big balcony at that). The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. The bathrooms have good quality modern sanitary ware…to hotel standard.
Bettina met us at the apartment and showed us around, she really made us feel very welcome and we felt at home straight away.
The grounds are very well maintained and the pool is clean. The whole complex was very quiet (late September) and we had a very relaxing week.
There are lots of restaurants and bars nearby but my advice would be to take a short walk along the beech to Cabopino as the restaurants are much nicer there.
There is a new supermarket just up from the apartment where you can buy English as well as Spanish produce.
Should I return to the area I would stay at this apartment again as it was simply splendid…thanks Bettina!

We had a fabulous time at this apartment which was perfect for us ( - 3 kids on tow). The location was ideal and the apartment was extremely comfortable and clean. Bettina was very helpful and made every effort to ensure our stay was hassle free and as comfortable as possible. Many a night was spent on the large balcony enjoying the peaceful surroundings and lovely gardens below. My only regret was that time passed so quickly ! Many thanks to Bettina for her care and assistance and I would not have any difficulty recommending this apartment to anyone else. Hopefully we will be back very soon !

The apartment is lovely, clean and fresh. Its a very comfortable size with two showers, which is really great if it gets really hot!
The proximity to the major towns is a big advantage. Its only €1.20 to Fuengirola and €1.87 to Marbella on the buses, which are great too.
The complex is full of really nice restaurants and bars if you dont fancy heading off.
All in all, its a great place for relaxing and enjoying yourself, and youre only a bus trip away from nightlife. Excellent all round.

May 2009 - Great value for money, excellent apartment, well presented and decorated with good taste, equipped with absolutely everything and more for a self catering holiday. The walk in shower was a big plus as was the en suite with bath and shower, comfortable for all age groups. Very quiet and enjoyable 5 day break, relaxing on balcony which overlooked the well maintained gardens and swimming pool with jacuzzi. The supermarket and restaurants are a short stroll from the apartment and the beach, approximately 10 minute walk. Would definitely recommend to friends and family, and I congratulate the owner for her communication skills and personal touch.

Bettina made every effort possible to ensure that we had everything we needed for our short break. The apartment was sparklingly clean and beautifully decorated and kitted out. The situation is fantastic, with great views of the pool exactly as shown on the site and enough restaurants and shops within 2 minutes walk to keep us happy for a week at least. The welcome pack was a lovely touch, ensuring we had a cold beer on arrival and food for breakfast on our first morning. Its also worth saying that the surrounding gardens and pool are also immaculate - very child and sun seeker friendly! Bettinas welcome and attention to detail make you feel as if youve landed in the lap of luxury for a few days - worth every euro!

A beautiful, neat and tidy apartment very close to the beach and exactly as descibed in the advert. We would thoroughly recommend this apartment to anyone be it couple looking for short break, small family or retired people for relaxation.
The apartment is very close to the beach and amenities. The host was very attentive and communication both before, during and after our stay was excellent (10/10). The pool and garden on site are both clean and almost deserted while we were there.
Our only 2 comments are that there is no washing machine (we knew as not listed in the advert) and we thought although you do not need a car (buses and taxis within a couple of minutes walk) we would recommend one especially if you want to venture further afield.
With these 2 points in mind overall we have to give a 9/10 and would most certainly use again.

My husband and I spent the month at El Zoco in March, we had a lovely time the apartment was very comfortable with plenty of room. Bettina had left a lovely bottle of wine some chocies milk and much needed teabags to start us off. The gardens were lovely well maintained we spent many an afternoon by the pool (not in it too cold) Yes there is a main road but we could not hear it from the apartment or gardens but it was great because we dont drive so the bus was great Marbella in 25 mins 1euro 85 single Fuengirola 20mins 1euro 15. We had lovely walks along the front stopping in our favourite watering holes La Capricha, Dona Lola and Royal Beach ending in Julies at cabopicho marina, of course getting the bus back. Having just returned from our visit to calahonda we would just like to give some deserved praise to the accomodation.It truly was a lovely apartment, roomy and bright and very well set out and fitted.The grounds were tended daily and very clean and tidy.A big thankyou to bettina who was more than helpfull and we will without doubt book it again in future when we visit that coast again.So if your after excellent accomodation its a must.

What a beautiful apartment, it had everything you could wish for and more! The gardens are immaculate and the pool was great. We didnt want to hire a car and the location was perfect the beach is a 5min walk and the are plenty of resterauants within walking distance. We havnt been self catering before but we were very impressed with the high standard of the apartment and cant wait to come back!!

This apartment was beautifully presented, modern and well-equipped. It mirrored the information and the photographs on the website perfectly. The building is very well-maintained and the pool and gardens were immaculate. The location is really very good for accessing public transport to Marbella, Fuengirola and beyond. There really is no need for a car, local supermarkets are on hand to cater for most needs.
Calahonda itself had a relatively quiet beach and the walk to Cabopino (a short distance away) was worth it. A lovely setting.
Bettina communicated with us regularly before our stay and couldnt have been more helpful. Bettinas contact - Keith, was also really helpful and informative. For the time of year the weather was very good. We had a great family holiday and intend to return.

As a family with two young children, this property was terrific for us.
Everyting was on our door step and accesible for us to get around.
The surrounding and gardens were a pleasure to relax around. The apartment was tastefully decorated and had all the essentials you require on holiday.

Myself and family recently stayed at the appartment - everything was as detailed in the description of the property posted on the WWW.
Immaculate, clean, convenient to all amenities. Spent most mornings before breakfast in the pool swith the kids.
All furnishings and white ware as new - seemed a shame to cook!!! - but we did lots of cooking - all utensils and hardware perfect/spotless.
Nice to have 2nd shower room - ideal for the kids as nice and low wirh taps etc that could be reached and controled by ease even by a 5 and 4 year old.
I will definately be retuning in the near future and this apartment would be a first choice at all times.
Ecellent holiday, enjoyed by all - even i relaxed as soon as i arrived.
Collected from the airport by Keith one of Bettinas friends - no need for a car - bus service very good. Local supermarkets had everything you wanted - meat/fish especially good. "

The apartment is modern, colourful and lovely and cool even in the hottest periods. It is fully equipped with every neccesity and even has english tv channels...which was a nice suprise! The pool is a lot bigger than the photos show, it was never overcrowded and there were times we had it all to ourself! We never went without a sunlounger, no matter what time of the day we went down. The apartment complex is absolutely gorgeous and really well maintained. We had a lovely ten days staying here, and really didnt want to leave! I would highly reccommend this apartment to young people, couples and families it has everything you need on your doorstep. Thanks Bettina! Especially for helping us sort out transfers with the lovely Keith!

We definitely made the right choice in booking this apartment, we cannot fault it! A superb apartment with all that you could wish for, the layout, the space, the decoration and the beautiful gardens are spectacular.
We had an extremely wonderful time. We felt like we were hidden away in a lovely quiet place yet just 10 mins drive in either direction to all the hussle and bustle if we wanted it.
No question about it we will definitely be coming back and will certainly recommend to family and friends.

Have just come back from one of the best holidays Ive been on and already wish I could be back there! The apartment is gorgeous and really well-maintained. The pool and gardens are equally as great and make for many good sunbathing days. The surrounding area (2-5 min walk) has all the bars and restaturants you would need. No car is required as the buses are so cheap and reliable though a car may be preferred for families. Marbella is a beautiful town and beach and a visit is highly recommended! Overall, had a fabulous time in Bettinas apartment and would recommend to anyone who is after a relaxing holiday in the sun. Thanks so much Bettina, from the Welsh Girls.

We have been going to Cala Honda for seven years now this apartment was one of the best ones we have ever stayed in, it was clean, very well maintained, and the position was excellent, we rented a car (as always) but you don't need one because everything is close by good bars, restaurants, supermarkets etc. everything in this apartment was really thought out it was like home from home, the swimming pool was great for all ages and the grounds are beautiful. we can't wait to go back.

Excellent apartment, perfectly finished. This apartment is plenty big enough to suit a family of 5 comfortably. Quiet complex and close to walk to all local amenities. Bus routes are regular and cheap but would recommend car hire if going as a family. Local beach is poor if I'm being picky but Cabobino is lovely and only 5 minutes drive away. Overall highly recommended!!!

The apartment is very clean, modern and bright. It is well equipped and spacious. The pool area and gardens are very picturesque with plenty of room for sunbathing. There are many restaurants and bars within a few mintues walk, so a car is not needed. All in all a great apartment in a very good lcoation. We would not hesitate in recommending this apartment to our family and friends and we will definitely be going back!

I booked this very last minute ie within 12hours !! and Bettina was fantastic and even went out and bought a new cot for my 2nd baby !! The apartment is lovely and fresh and new, lovely decorated. The pool is nice and quiet and there are various shops, cafes and restaurants on the doorstep. Calahonda is a residential area between fuengirola and marbella, its not great for getting around with a buggy and 2 babies but once we had hired a car it was perfect as cabopino beach was only 5 mins drive away - a lovely beach with some great cafes and restaurants, marbella was only 15mins drive and puerto banus was about 20mins so it was perfect to explore the different beaches and places around.

This is a superb apartment with a very modern feel about it. Located in an excellent position with just a minutes walk to fantastic bars and restaurants. You really cannot beat the location or the quality of this apartment. The pool and surrounding grounds are really beautiful. You would be hard put to find such a lovely apartment with a fantastic location. I would highly recommend this to families, sngles or just about anyone really. I will be visiting again in the near future. No need for car rental if you dont want to!

We are the first people to stay, and found the apartment clean fresh and airy.
There was 3 adults and 2 kids, perfect size for us.
Nice to have a new apartment instead of an old dated one. Its in a great position and for the first time we didn't hire a car.
The grounds are lovely, great swimming pool and really lovely gardens. We will definitely be back next year.
