Florida villa rental

Date of Stay 11 October 2011 I had a great holiday here last year with three other people that have now become my wife and my in-laws! The villa is tidy, very well maintained and spacious with everything that you could possibly need for a relaxing self catering holiday. That said you are only a short drive from some fantastic restaurants Outback for great steak, Ghirardellis for amazing ice cream (peanut butter smoothie was my favourite) and Johnnies Hideway for lovely food and desserts that are large enough to feed the entire family. Thanks for all the excellent recommendations Wally. The pool at the rear is clean and warm - it is not massive but plenty big enough to float around and cool down. It is surrounded by trees which means that you are not overlooked by anyone (other than the birds, squirrels and lizards) but it is drenched in sun for most of the day. The other facilities were also excellent, particularly considering the price - many comparable villas seemed more expensive to me. There is a flatscreen cable tv and fast wifi which we used to look up numerous nearby activities - even though there was a pretty good activities folder provided. The villa was so good we spent much of our time relaxing around the pool - we didnt even get around to trying out the communal pool or tennis court. When we did drag ourselves away from the comfort of the villa we found it perfectly placed for anything you could want, whatever your age. Obviously you have everything that Disney has to offer but we opted for a more sedate holiday. We enjoyed a number of trips to local nature reserves (Osceola County Schools Environmental Study Center is 5 minutes away, full of wildlife and absolutely beautiful), an airboat tour to see alligators galore and a very enjoyable segway tour around Celebration (I have to get myself one of those). We would also recommend Ripleys and Wonderworks for those that like something a bit different. On one day we defied our age and had an absoluely blast at WetnWild. Generally the activities are superb but Cypress Canopy Cycle by Florida Ecosafaris is definitely one to miss - overhyped and overpriced. Basically this villa does what it says on the can - a comfortable, relaxing break in a beautiful conservation area with all the entertainment that you could wish for right on your doorstep. Hopefully we will find ourselves back there sometime soon...and perhaps this time we will find time for a game of tennis. As for recommending this villa...I already have! Date of Stay 06 August 2012 Despite arriving a day late, after an overnight stay in Washington airport, we found the villa easily after Wallys perfect instructions. The house was a welcoming, cool and calm refuge from the heat and the journey. This was our third stay in a Florida Villa however we found Doral Woods a welcome change from the others. The back garden is secluded and wooded, this provides a welcome change from the usual scenario in Orlando of sitting in your private pool but being able to observe dozens of neighbours doing the same !.the well kept gardens are full of entertaining squirrels and lizards. The house is large, clean and well equipped with very fast wifi (free) and a massive choice of TV channels which my teenage children consider essential for a good holiday. The bedrooms (especially the master) are large with tons of room for suitcases etc. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you could ever need to use for cooking and has the massive American fridge and oven. the laundry room is the same, with industrial size appliances which were very welcome after a weeks travel. The location of the house is perfect, to be just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks but close enough to them for convenience. There is a large Walmart, chemists and restaurants close by, and the roads around Doral Woods are very quiet and traffic free. We took Wallys advice and took a Segway tour around Celebration, I would highly recommend it, I am so hooked that I was disappointed to discover that we cant ride them on public roads and paths around the UK. As ever the designer clothes shopping in Florida is extensive and cheap, we have learned our lesson from previous visits and came with fairly empty suitcases, to take advantage of this. Date of Stay 28 September 2012 Helpful votes:0/0. This was a great villa to stay in with great space and very well looked after. The pool is a lovely size and there are plenty of chairs to relax in. The directions to the villa were accurate and it was easy to gain access to the keys. The management company are also right at hand for any issues - day or night! The washing machine and dryer come in very handy with a washing line in the garage - which gets very warm duirng the day and clothes are dry by the time you come home after a day at the parks! The property is very residential yet only about 12 minutes to the 192 and about 40 minutes to the parks. There is also a Walmart about 10 minutes one way and a large Publix the other direction. The villa is also well situated for Legoland which is abvout 45 minutes out of Orlando / away from the villa.· We would thoroughly recommend this park. It is new and still needs to expand but the water park in particular is fabulous for the kds - even for the little ones. The villa is also not too far from International Drive and the outlets - all about 40 minutes away. There is a great restaurant for breakfast called Perkins - about 10 minutes up the Poinciana. Sets you up for the day! We had a thoroughly lovely holiday and the villa really made the difference. Thank you Wally and the management team! wonderful holiday Review Submitted: 13 August 2012 Date of Stay: July 2012 Dear Wally, first we want to thank you for the nice touch with you, your answers to our mails came very quickly every time. We are a family with two teens and your villa was perfect for our holiday. During the days we visited theme parcs like Universal, Seaworld and so on, it was about 30 min. away. In the evening we rested ourselve in your house by using all the mod cons, like the swimmingpool, Wi-Fi or TV. The villa was very spacious, so everyone had its own place to do what he want. The enviroment was quiet and the villa and the garden had a private atmosphere with squirrels in the trees. The house was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The describtion of the house is true exactly. Doral Woods Home Review Submitted: April 30, 2012 Date of Stay: April 2012 We are a family with older children and this villa was perfect for us. It is nicely appointed, spacious and well maintained. The pool was a real bonus as it is larger than average and very private with trees screening the garden (unusal for Kissimmee). The location was a bit further away from the I92, Disney etc. than we are used to - it is very much a residential area with schools etc. We didnt mind this as there is a Walmart, shops and fast food restaurants within a short drive. Another major bonus is the tennis court which is very nice and only round the corner (on foot) from the villa. The owner provided raquets and balls so we played every day then went for a swim to cool off. We never had to wait to get on the court and it is part of the development, so free. Doral Woods Review Old Fogey Scotland Review Submitted: August 12, 2010 Date of Stay: July 2010 This was a lovely villa - lots of room but there were only 4 of us. I liked the slightly larger pool and we also used the community pool which was about three houses away. The kids also played tennis a few times too - it was next to the community pool. Instructions on where to find everything local was great. We went to the 7/11 for essentials and popped into a Publix (Tesco equivalent) on the way home from the parks. Otherwise you had to go to Poincianna - I liked Poincianna but it was nearly 20 minutes in the other direction. The beds were very comfy and the kids loved the ice maker in the fridge. I thought the tiled floor at the French windows into the pool was so much better than the carpet in our previous houses. It was also very clean and very quiet and not overlooked by anyone else, fab - just what we like. Lots of locals in the estate too. It was a little bit further out than the other places we have stayed and with the roadworks (3 miles worth) that made it seem longer but they were nearly finished by the time we left. We thought it was great and of course Florida weather and parks were brilliant - we managed to shop a lot too! Peaceful, clean and quiet Rene&Ria Netherlands Review Submitted: July 12, 2011 Date of Stay: June 2011 My wife and I are regular renters (>10 years) in the Kissimmee area and this Villa has it all. It is very private, clean and quiet. A tennis court is within 200 meters and is free of charge. A rental car is needed, but that is no surprise. No supermarket close by but that doesnt bother. We will be back!!! Recommended for: Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Families with Young Children

Awesome getaway place Review Submitted: August 3, 2011 Date of Stay: July 2011 I really enjoyed my stay @ the villa, it was very quiet and close to the Disney attractions about 25-30 minutes, but not too close. It was relaxing to be able to leave all the hustle and bustle behind and come back to this relaxing villa. It was spacious enough so everybody had their own space, we where not on top of each other at all. The only down side to the stay was there was no internet/ wi-fi connection so it was a waste of time for us to bring our laptops or other electronic devices that uses wi-fi. Other than that I would recommend this as the perfect get away for a girls weekend out or a romantic hide away to get away from it all. My next vist to Orlando will be some time next year and I look forward to staying here again. After we leaving Florida we take a cruise to Belize, Honduras and Mexico. I like so much the villa and we planning renting again when we visit Orlando.
