The front villa was stunning. Wonderfully positioned next to the sea, picturesque views, and really quite and relaxing. Fabulous local farmers market. Good value for money. Anna was super helpful and even provided childrens toys for my daughter! A great stay.

We were dissappointed to not have moved into the villa which we had booked. The owner had extended the stay of another family, and sent us notification via email only after we had already departed on our holidays. I learned of this only after returning home.
This other villa, behind the first, did not have the same views of the sea, especially the large master bedroom downstairs - except for the comfortable bed, it was a depressing room for such a beautiful location, and it had not been cleaned (dirty floor by the bed, dusty lamp base).
The walls were devoid of any pictures, making the rooms feel empty the screen door to the outside deck was a pain to open and close, so we barely used the deck a few window screens had large holes in them, so we were not able to open the windows (mosquitoes).
However, we loved Crete and the location of the villa, as well as the suggested sights to visit.

We spend a wonderful month vacation at this villa in July, 2011 – and it was very nice! Villa stands just 50 meters from the sea, in a calm, quiet and safe location, and you actually have a private beach! You can walk to swim any time you like, and it’s really amazing to fall asleep hearing the sea by your door. The villa is bigger than it looks on pictures, spacious, airy and well equipped. There were four of us, including our little daughter and her grandmom, and we always had enough room for everyone. Bedrooms are located downstairs, what makes them cooler than the rest of the villa, and if it’s not enough, there is an AC in every bedroom. Sitia is 5 minutes to drive, with all it’s restaurants and small shops, 2 supermarkets and the marketplace on Tuesdays – with a great variety of fresh fruits, vegetables and fresh fish for evening BBQ. The famous palm Vai beach is just 30 min to drive, and you can enjoy it any time you like. Moreover, 25 min to drive there is Kouremenos beach, where you will windsurf even if you’ve never tried it before! (It has a wind surfing school, rent a board and the best wind around)) And you can also snorkel and windsurf right beside the villa.
The owners, Andrey and Anna, are very nice and helpful people. Their villa stands close enough to get any assistance you need immediately, and far enough not to bother your privacy.
It’s been one of our best vacations on Crete, and we highly recommend this place for a relaxing family vacation!

Its bigger than it looks in the pictures ! The property is split over two floors which i hadnt appreciated from the photos. Air con in the two bedrooms and the fitted mosiquito screens on doors and windows are pleasant bonues. The whole property is nicely finished including the two w/c shower / bathrooms not pictured.
If you make use of Andres pottery tuition then make sure you have considered how you are going to transport stuff home safely. Plastic boxes not a bad idea ! i worried about breakages to our pottery the entire journey home. Clearly the kiln hardens things and all travelled well :-) The local Tuesday market is great for cheap, fresh food. The nearby shore is rocky and beach shoes are a good idea to protect little and large feet alike. Take snorkelling gear if you have it. you wont be disappointed. The views from every window are excellent. A very relaxing holiday and id return. Sitia is a short drive and has everything you need for variety of places to eat and drink. Sitia feels very safe at night for children.

We had a fantastic holiday with our 4 children (aged 10-13) - the villa was larger than we imagined with plenty of space for the 6 of us and plenty of verandahs and seating areas both in and outside the property with spectacular views from every window. We had our own secluded area of (rocky) beach which we invariably had completely to ourselves - this was very easily accessed (2 minutes walk from the property) and provided lots of snorkelling, swimming & wave-jumping opportunities to enjoy the long sunny days! There is also a sandy beach a few minutes drive up the road in Sitia when we fancied a change of scenery. There are plenty of good eateries in Sitia as well as on the road into Sitia and 2 well-equipped supermarkets which have just about everything you need. The market on Tuesdays is a fun experience where you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables very cheaply as well as honey and cheese. Car hire is essential as the villa is pretty remote but we never felt isolated and everything is very accessible (when we could drag ourselves away from the villa that is!) The owners (who live in a villa nearby) are lovely and are there for you if you need them but never invaded your privacy - Andre provides a great pottery workshop where he helps you craft your own designs by hand and he fires them in his kiln. Trips out included Vai Beach, Zakros Gorge walk, drive across the mountains to Palekastro, visit to a Monastery and numerous excursions into Sitia. This part of Crete felt off the tourist track - we hardly heard any English speakers our entire stay - but busy and lively enough to have a lovely atmosphere. All in all a fantastic holiday in a stunning location - couldnt recommend it highly enough. Thank you Anna and Andre!

The villa was modern and spacious with extremely comfortable furniture. It was in a delightful position, close to the sea with panoramic views all around. The beach was
pebbly but the sandy beaches of Siteia were only about 5 minutes away. Patios on two sides of the building enabled you to sit in the shade at any time. Local tavernas were within a few minutes drive. We have been to Crete many times and would rate this as one of the best villas we have stayed in. We would definitely stay here again. The owners, Anna and Andrey, were very welcoming and always on hand if you needed anything.

Location is unbelieveble beautiful, very quiet, just by the sea shore, and you will find there everything you can possibly want in our opinion its the highest value for money. Owners are very nice people, however, very discrete, willing to help with anything you ask for. Did it meet our expectations, would we recommend the villa to a friend, ... ? It definitely exceeded our expectations, and Id recommend it to anybody interessed in visiting eastern & central Crete, in spending time on a beautiful beach(plenty to choose from), snorkelling, diving (in fact all kind of water sports), in mountain trips, historic theme trips, excellent and very healthy food, ... In other words, Id recommend the location to anybody looking for high value holidays.
