A perfect vacation spot - October 2008

We (a party of 5 adults, two teenagers and a baby) spent a week in Villa Artemis in October, 2008. What a perfect vacation in peace and quiet!
The Villa was everything we were expecting, and more. Everything was clean and the service was superb. The small welcome-present in the fridge was a perfect finishing touch. A huge thanks to Nota and George also for arranging our car rental and providing us with insider tips for the region. The location between the mountains and the sea is simply breathtaking.
I would warmly recommend Villa Artemis and Makrygialos area for all my friends and anyone who appreciates a relaxing vacation in beautiful surroundings, and doesnt want to be fighting for a seat in a restaurant or a small sliver of beach with thousands of other tourists.

We stayed in Artemis Villa for ten days in April and thoroughly enjoyed our family holiday. The villa is superb, very spacious and well fitted out. The swimming pool is particularly welcome and is of a good size and private. The views across Makrigialos, the mountains and towards the sea are lovely. George and Nota are considerate and attentive hosts. We think a car is essential as it is a couple of miles outside the main town.
We also stayed in the large family apartment in Ikaros Villa in 2006 and was well appointed and as it is in the town, everything is within walking distance.
We would highly recommend both locations if you are after a quiet, pleasant holiday in a friendly and welcoming part of Greece and we will be going back again!

I would like to share with you our feelings and satisfaction from our vacation in your villas in Crete. As we talked on the phone every one of the group (and dont forget we were 18 people), came back home with a big smile on their faces….
The Villas were excectly what we were looking for and did fulfille our needs.
The facilities in the villas, the cleaning, the pools and most important your care and support for any need and had requested that came along was great and helpful. All of those made this vacation a great success, and gave us a strong will for more….

The villa was very spacious for five people and could easily accommodate more. In an excellent setting on a headland overlooking a bay. 0.5 km from a brilliant taverna and far enough away from the town of Makrygialos to feel very private without feeling isolated. The owners welcomed us warmly and were extremely helpful both prior to arrival and during our stay. We had such a good holiday that even the four day delayed return because of the volcanic ash scare could not diminish our enjoyment of our original holiday.
